This place is located where there used to be a middle eastern restaurant, which actually served pretty good gyro. The place is big, and offer good food. But to n honest, if this kind of food isn’t your«thing» you may need to think twice if you want to come here. The food was ok. An for someone who just happened to be there, it was good enough, but I would drive too long to get here…

Alright, I’m gonna go with two stars and not one because I am pretty sure I was the last delivery order of the night and they hated me. Yep. I was that person but I still paid and gave you a tip, Max! No condiments, no cheese on the«cheeseburger», no napkins, nada. Seriously, guys — you probably spit in my food and that’s ok I get that hostility but at least put some damn cheese on my cheeseburger. XOXO Gossip Girl

Wish I could leave a Big FATZERO Board of health should be alerted ASAP. After waiting 3 hours for my delivery order I found hair and what I’m assuming is some kind of rodent waste in my French fries. DISGUSTING I never leave reviews but I felt that this is my duty to alert fellow consumers. Don’t waste your money here, this place should be closed!!!

I have to admit this is one of the best places to get great food around here and for a great price. After one day just stopping by me and all of my coworkers constantly come back for more. Definitely glad there’s at least one great spot to eat food around here. Trust you will not be disappointed, Max’s Chicken and Seafood has the best food and great employee’s.

Stopped in just to see what they offered and was greeted by two friendly female employees. One of them asked if I needed help and I mentioned that it was my first time there and she gave two suggestions. She recommended the chicken sandwich and I’m glad I listened! It was delicious and wasn’t some nasty dry chicken patty. It was a freshly fried chicken breast and they had a lot of toppings to choose from. I went with the spicy fries and everything was fresh, hot and delicious. And they were playing awesome 80’s pop ! Best money I’ve spent all day! Thanks!

So I went in after a run. and you know that ravenous hunger you feel after. I was on my way home when I ran into this place. When I walked in, the place was clean. They have a colorful and comfortable seating area. When you walk in you’ll see the area with the selection of sides which looked fresh and delicious(macaroni salad, cole slaw, vegetables, potato salad etc). When I approached the cashier she was friendly and patient. I ordered a spicy burger well done with onion rings which I took to go. You can add your own fixings!(black olives, green olives, relish, pickles, lettuce, jalapenos, sauces etc) They also deliver and I noticed that they offer their service on grub hub. OMG!!! ITWASSODELICIOUS! They gave me the right amount. Not too much and not too little. I will be eating there again to try more their burger(cheddar deluxe, mushroom, Hawaiian etc) I wonder if they have hot dogs?

Whoever rates this food higher than a 1 — may have low standards for food. The location is incorrect on Unilocal so if you went to the one on coney island and New Kirk that’s the one. I admired the bright sign that said«Halal» «Zabiha» this is why I wanted to give this place a try and I heard it was new so I expect the food to be outstanding. Atmosphere — was decent and nice I ordered chicken shawarma because I knew half or most food products were frozen and not fresh. Anyways the chicken of the shawarma was so dry and hidden in my pita bread so I had to open and just try the chicken alone — which was such a disappointment — flavorless and dry as ever. I could have gone somewhere else for this type of dish because their is a bunch of them around that are actually pretty good! The only thing I enjoyed from my mean was the lettuce and fries(that were ofcourse packaged) I guess I got what I paid for — other than that cashier Rosalyn was a sweetheart. Deff won’t be coming back Good luck

Wonderful Food, hospitality Galore — warm and Charming owner. The clear giveaway that this is Canadian, was the Poutine offerings. French Fries with Gravy, Cheese Curds and Chicken topping if you so desire. I ordered their spicy chicken. The chicken was crispy and pleasantly seasoned — not Wise guy Hot. Judging by their awning, they’re going to have outdoor seating once the weather warms us. This newcomer is definitely worth a try!

So disappointing. I was looking forward to a new chicken place. And I have a lot of Canadian friends, I was looking forward to trying this poutine they were always going on about. Major let down on the way. The first time I went, I ordered three piece dark meat fried chicken and a large Pepsi. It took a few go arounds with the cashier to get this information across. But eventually she got it. Except when I got my food, it was 2 dark, 1 white meat and a small diet Pepsi. But, whatever. It’s a new place, mistakes happen. No big deal. The chicken was fine. A little bland, but not terrible. The fries and the biscuit were good, though. I wasn’t planing on going back so soon, but I got a hankering for something cheesy and greasy, so I thought I’d try the poutine. And again, it took multiple explanations for the girl to understand that I didn’t want the poutine with meat. I just wanted the regular one. Also, they were out of Pepsi. They were pretty empty, but there was still a long wait for my food.(How long can it take to dump some gravy on top of fries?) and when I got them, they were made with sweet potato fries for some reason. I didn’t even bother to eat and just left at that point. TL;DR: Two bad experiences within a couple days of each other. The staff is nice, but don’t know what they are doing. This place really needs to step up their game if they want to make it.

I have been waiting for a decent friend chicken place in Flatbush and I’ve found it! I got a 12 piece chicken only bucket which I’m looking forward to consuming at home. I got to meet Max, the owner/founder. Very nice guy. He told me that they will soon start delivery and have an updated website. I think Max’s is a keeper

Not what I was expecting at all. I read about the opening via a blog and couldn’t wait to check it out. 1) the salad bar was a bit depressing. There were maybe 10 items to choose from 2) Quality customer service is lacking. Yes this is a fast food joint, but since I was the only person in there, HOW did you get my order wrong? 3) they had a lot of chicks just sitting there in the warming bins 4) the chicken is overly greasy and the flavor was average. If I am ever craving fried chicken this would not be on my top 5 places to go. Because it’s in the neighborhood if I walk by I may stop in to try it one more time.

Stopped in to the newest restaurant in the neighborhood. Max’s is located where Famous Pita used to be. It is a Canadian chain that offers delicious halal fried and rotisserie chicken, pizza, seafood, burgers, shawarma and soon breakfast. Based on my chicken and fries, Max’s will quickly become popular! Update: Monday, May 25. Stopped in today and the place was clean and the servers friendly but my shawarma was rather dry and disappointing in taste. It tasted more like food cart meat than real shawarma. So while I still think the restaurant has potential, my initial enthusiasm has cooled a bit.
