This is my favorite Greek restaurant in Bklyn or Staten Island. Service was attentive. Food was well prepaed. Wide choice of appetizers and entres. Gyro meat was moist and tasty. Generous supply of dips and pita.

The octopus appetizer here is absolutely outstanding. The lamb gyro sandwich was also great and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back and strongly recommend this place to others.

Good greek restaurant. Try octopus, it’s very good. I tried their house wines and was a bit disappointed. The food overall was great. We had their mixed appetizer spreads that I really liked, my friends were having fish which they liked. The tables are very close to each other due to the place being not that large, i assume it can have not more than 50 people. I recommend to make reservations ahead and ask where they would seat you. Make sure its not the first table by the door. Tough to find parking nearby, I spend over 15 minutes looking. If you see a valet parking across for another catering hall, try giving them $ 5 tip, they might help you.

Outstanding staff and food, with low prices and large portions. Excellent place to go to or even to take out from. Fast yet great quality, 5 stars isnt enough!

Loved it. Not many places I would go back to for Greek food but this is definitely one of them. We had that lamb platter and chicken souvlaki, both were cooked well and tasted great. Both of those are fairly priced and will definitely fill you up. We had a traditional Greek salad as well which was pretty good. The service was great as well. Waiters were very pleasant to speak to and ask questions. The only reason I haven’t given this place 5 stars is because of price. Apart from the two dishes I mentioned, most things on the menu are pretty expensive. Not sure if that’s a fair critique because maybe it’s worth it. We just didn’t want to spend $ 30 per person on lunch. I would definitely go back.

We started with grilled octopus and grilled calamari … absolutely delicious ! then we had 2 soft shell crabs and the Horiatki salad. amazing !!! dinner included the Bronzino, lamb chops and a skirt steak grilled to perfection. Baklava, and homemade brownies to finish the meal … i would definitely return as the service and food was exceptional ! thank you

Truly Greek Seasoning. I love the décor. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable. We went there for a very special occasion with most of our family members and I believe every one tried something else on the menu! I believe we have ordered every single apetizer from the menu and there was not a single complain about any of them! The food was incredibly good!!! I became a fan of Greek Wine since that night! Fried cheese as an appetizer and moussaka were extraordinary!

Their food is amazing!!! I usually order steak, very rare, and they always get it right just how i like it. I ordered fish couple of times. Simply magnificent! The staff is great as well. I’m rating it 4 stars only because they don’t seem to know how to wrap the soublaki.

Flavorful is really the best word to describe the food here. I’m not hugely familiar with Greek food so I just take the advice of the experts here. I’m yet to be disappointed but I will caution against waiting too long to eat if you get takeout or delivery as the moist nature of some of the dishes can cause some sogginess over time. Fortunately this doesn’t take away from the tastiness.

Here is the full Greek experience. The restaurant celebrates the culture in hospitable staff and décor, as well as the great dishes here. If you’re convinced you’re gyro platter at your local diner suffices, you’re not even close. We started with the haloumi cheese with bread, and a plate of loukanika, the Greek sausage. Drizzling the bread with a little oil then paying the cheese across before each bite makes for this perfect bold cheese taste that you won’t find in your grilled cheese at home. This with the sausage that was so flavorful, give it a few drops of lemon and the taste is unlike anything I’ve ever tried. The flavors here are consistent and follow through dish after dish. To be honest I did want to explore the more exotic items on the menu for my entrée, but being short on time I asked for a suggestion and the gyro platter was just that. As a new yorker, you’ve had it before at a diner or halal cart and I will tell you there is no comparison. The lamb was so juicy, so authentic, and the tzatsiki took it to the next level. I will definitely returning soon anytime I need my Greek fix. Thank you.

Meze, s’agapo poli! Why? Here are a few reasons: 1) You’re one of the few really good restaurants within a decent radius of my apartment. Like really good. 2) You have some seriously friendly servers who know how to take care of their customers. Shoutout to Paul! 3) Your food is always super fresh and extra tasty. 4) Your ambiance is simple and not unnecessarily lavish. 5) Did I mention your food is delicious? I probably visit Meze at least once a month. I used to think the best Greek food in NYC was in Astoria, but it’s actually in an unassuming area of Dyker Heights. I always order saganaki(well done so it has so charred pieces of cheese), horiatiki salad, the dip trio(without tsatsiki and with tyrokafteri instead), the octopus(always tender and always delicious with just the right amount of char), a whole bronzino(filet that beast yourself for a more rewarding experience), the bifteki(hope you like garlic cuz it’s chock full of it and it’s oh so good), and a few other things that I can’t think of at the moment. Listen, let’s cut to the chase. Stop going to Astoria. Come to Dyker Heights, walk into Meze, enjoy the olive bread with olive oil, order a glass of Dimitra wine, order the food I mentioned above, and finish off with some galaktoboureko for dessert. You can thank me later in a private message.

Had a dinner here with my boyfriend on a Friday night. Arrived around 8:30pm and was seated promptly. It’s a super cozy space and was more crowded than we had thought. We had ordered from here via seamless a few times and dining in was even better! We ordered 2 glasses of wine, a grilled squid stuffed with spicy feta appetizer and hummus with pita. My entrée was a whole grilled branzino with a side of beets and my boyfriend had the lamb araka. Everything was amazing!!! We wish we’d had room to finish and try some dessert. We’ll definitely be back!

I was looking fwd to this place when l saw the reviews. So I stopped in to order & take home. The interior is very Greek, nice with Greek music & flat screen displaying«visions of Greece» another nice touch. The waiter who approached was very nice & attentive. I asked if there were any dishes without tomato sauce, citrus, black pepper or nuts, since l wanted to order something on the side for someone who has gastritis/acid reflux. He was very helpful & suggested things & putting stuff on the side but came back a couple of times saying the chef can’t do this or that, like keep the black pepper out since it’s already in the stuffing, hmm. already prepared stuffing? :-/So came down to a plain sauteed fish(l believe he said it was a Sole) & l picked sauteed broccoli rabe as the vegetable on the side that comes with the dish. Well as soon & l said yes to putting that order in l regretted it since l could have eeeasily made that at home! Ugh. I figured ok, let that go maybe he won’t charge me a lot b/c it’s very plain & simple. HA! Right. well wait until the end. I ordered 1 order of Grape leaves– tasted like it was one of those canned grape leaves & the rice wasn’t cooked all the way. The spanakopita, needed salt(ugh why can’t chefs season things properly & not treat food like it’s being«served in a hospital to patient with high blood pressure»?!) it also didn’t seem fresh to me either. I don’t know what the hell took so long if most of the items seemed already prepared & just warmed up? I tasted the fish(which btw smelled SOFISHY& l was told by a few professionals in the culinary field, fresh fish should never smell«fishy“it should smell like the sea) & broccoli rabe. l got so upset to know l paid for that! Knowing l could have made that at home; fresh & better tasting too! The only thing l liked was the baklava. So this whole thing came out to almost $ 50! Look at my pic to see what l mean-Seriously over priced & overrated!

This place is great for dinner and is reasonably priced. I’ve been here a few times and I must say their tyrokafteri spread is fantastic. I always get their chicken and lamb platter; a large plate which comes with a side of greek fries, pita bread, and tzatziki sauce.

Ahhhh, thank you for delivering when I am craving greek food. Delivery was very quick and food was delicious. –Grape leaves — satisfied my craving for something tangy — Spanakopita– I love spinach pie. Sadly, by the time it was delivered, it wasn’t as flake-y. But still good. — Chicken Souvlaki — Chicken wasn’t try which is very very important! I loveeeeeeeeeee Tzatziki sauce and it was delicious. I forgot what my boyfriend ordered because I was too busy stuffing my face.

Had a quick solo lunch here and was very smitten with this place. Very large space, modest décor. Authentic greek music on the radio accompanied by a flat screen tv playing«Visions of Greece». Enough to make you plan a future trip while waiting for your food. I didn’t ask but it looks like a family owned business. The two waiters there could be brothers or cousins. They bring you warm toasted bread with olive oil. Nice touch. I had the grilled octopus appetizer. At market price, it came out to be $ 20. I ordered it with a simple side of salad and a glass of wine($ 6). The octopus, with 2 large pieces, was amazing. Soft, not too chewy, chuncky pieces, super char-grilled. The side salad was a good size, lots of feta cheese. So with that combination I was full and happy. Would return here whenever I’m in the area.

4.8÷5 It was a bit pricey. Food was delicious. The portion was huge(had leftovers). The gyro meat was SO good! The pita bread that came with it was also very good. Mutual on the fries and salad; although the fries were a bit soggy… maybe they could’ve packaged the fries separately. Although they gave me the chicken souvlaki platter instead of the pork, it was still good. They called and said they didn’t have the bougatsa dessert and the lady recommended the baklava. The baklava was sweet but not TOO sweet; just right amount of sweetness. I would probably order from here again for their gyro meat.

This place was amazing! Went here with my boyfriend for dinner and when we first entered it was a «homey» feel. Very cutely decorated. We ordered chicken and pork souvlaki platters and mussles, everything was amazing. I thought the pork was better. Portions are very big so be hungry when you order. Fries were a little soggy for me. Mussels were to die for though! The sauce was incredibly tasty, definitely try it with the bread. Service was also good :) One of the waitresses is actually from Athens! I was happy that I got to satisfy my Greek food craving :)
