Stick to grilled food if you want to enjoy! The patties and pastries are also very delicious. Must try mix grill(comes out sizzling)

The sizzling mixed grill platter, combined with a buttery naan is mouth watering. Call in advance to have it ready for you, it takes 30+ minutes.

This is perhaps the best Pakistani restaurant in NYC when it comes to authentic food experience. Dishes are very well priced. There nans are just the way you would get in Pakistan. They would always cook their foods fresh for you. Their chicken karahi and tawa qeema are heavenly. Have been here several times and would continue to come. They need to work on the ambiance though. Tables and chairs are old and dingy. Restroom is dirty and not well maintained. Temperature is usually on the colder side in restaurant. But the food experience forces me to revisit this place. It is open 24⁄7 which is absolutely fantastic.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The servers are very friendly and the food is delicious. I came here with some friends to have a meeting where it’s quiet. We enjoyed the food and each other’s company. The food was a bit spicy but, we really enjoyed it here. We need to come back here again so that we can taste the desserts that are sold there too. The food is fresh as the man said to us. I love the curry chicken with the rice and salad on the side.

Their mango pastry is the best ! I always come back for it !!! Their chicken croissant is also really good. My go to place. One of the better restaurants from the others on Coney Island.

I got chicken and goat curry at this place. Nothing to rave about– it was ok. However, the sweets, assortment of barfis and cham-cham and such, was below par. It was really stale.

I was in the area last night around picking up something from my mother’s house in the area… when hunger struck, so I pulled up Unilocal and checked this place out. I ordered the Malai chicken kebab and a beef Sikh kebab. In my hungerness, I thought I was about to regret my decision after placing the order my food was not out within 5 minutes. Then the guy behind the counter reassured me by saying«we apologize for the wait, we take our time cooking the food here fresh, there is nothing pre made. We wouldn’t feed you anything we wouldn’t feed ourselves.» He then Gave me a menu and said I can call in advance and they would have it ready. I must admit… I liked that. He was right, ide rather them take they’re time preparing my food, and keep it fresh. I can respect his statement. Now onto the food… I must admit I had prepared to watch Jessica Jones on Netflix while eating but my ride home became a mess of me driving, trying to eat naan, and kebabs at the same time. The spices tasted rich, like they were actually picked the same day and not dry, the meat tasted fresh, the flavor combination was perfect. The food never made it to my house as everything was done by the time I got home. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back repeatedly!

Amazing place. I actually just randomly walked in and stumbled upon this gem. The food is amazingly authentic and the mixed grill sizzler is to die for. The meat is so tender and succulent it has one asking for more. Aloo Tikki Chaat is amazing as well, the amount of flavor with each bite is stunning. As I’m sitting here right now, this place is great for a casual meal with your family or friends and trust me when I say you won’t complain at all. Great food.

One of the best authentic Pakistani restaurant in N.Y. I like their kabobs, daal makhni, chicken tandoori, something with the Kaddu(gorgot the name of tge dish, it was made out of long squash n it was white), naan and my most favorite is Hafsi halwa(a Pakistani desert/sweet)… My mom introduced me to this gem and this halwa .now I can’t get enough of it!!! I want to give them five stars but coudnt cause sometimes they took wayy long to prepare food and it’s better for take out.

Finally! A Pakistani food place that has an A star rating on Coney Island Avenue and has authentic Desi food! I love their samosa chaat and my husband enjoys their chicken patties. I’ve also had the Nihari from here and samosas which were both good. I also enjoyed their sweets — the gulab jamuns and jalebis! I like that this place is affordable. The inside look isn’t appealing but it’s great for a casual desi family outing or for take-out.

Not the best place to sit and eat with family but food is amazing. They are quick in preparation for takeout. I highly recommend their bbq whole chicken. Best chicken i’ve had in a long time. If you are a cake or pastry fan then this is your place. Especially if you like it pakistani style, fresh cream. Light and not that sweet, perfectly made.

Best Pakistani food in this area, their fresh made chicken and mutton karahis are the best of any restaurants. Their mixed grill is great with good selection of meat, it comes sizzling hot so beware of that. And the best thing about mithaas are their to die for MANGO pastries and cakes. You won’t get them anywhere else but here. Must have if you visit mithaas. Other good stuff includes their vast selection of biscuits as well spicy chicken croissants.

They had cheap samosas that were pleasantly spicy but not overwhelmingly so. There was also a nice selection of sweets that we sampled from(at random). Some steam table food looked good, but we were too full from gorging on half price sushi rolls.

My husband and I love Indian food and this place is perfect! I need to preface by saying that we do not speak Urdu, Bengali, Kashmiri or any other Indo-Ayran language. Why this is important, because we don’t know the proper names of the food items, and the guys who work there are always happy to explain, cooperate with our pointing or giggle with us as we mess up the names of the few items we do know. They also provide you small nosh to aid in your choice of food. So with that out of the way, here’s what you do need to know: This place is awesome. From food to service and price. They have this great spicy liver dish, great samosas and a tasty mixed grill. Also I see locals stopping by for mounds of fluffy naan, and it is awesome! The chicken naan is great too! They have an incredible selection of sweets, which are insanely good! I no longer want a birthday cake, I want 50lbs of sweets from here! Also, who said cupcakes are the new best thing? Obviously they have never tried Indian sweets. Cupcakes are boring and vanilla. Get Indian sweets! Gulab Jamun Jalebi Halwa Some other awesomely delicious sweets, you should try, just take the plunge! It’s food, and there’s no mistake to be made here. So if you’re intimated because you don’t speak the language or don’t know your naan from your roti, stop and go to MITHAAS. They will be happy to help you. And you will be happy for it!

How have I not yet rated this place?!? This is my go-to place with my gal pals whenever we’re in the area. It’s not too small, not huge. Just right. The food is also pretty good and fresh(only one [out of 10 – 15 times I’ve been there] incident when I bought gol gappe made to take home only to find later on that the filling had gone bad…) What pulls us in there is the keema nan with that sweet sauce and green sauce that they have. The hint of spiciness is just enough to keep us wanting more! The slim, late 40something(?) year old man there is also super nice and friendly! Not a bad place to get your sweet or savory fix.

I come here to eat breakfast sometimes when I’m feeling indulgent. Saved me from having to make the trek to Jackson Heights for halwa poori, and I like their pooris better than the ones from Jackson Heights. They also make really delicious parathas. REAL parathas, not hard fried rotis. I’ve never had their methai but have heard they have a mango pastry that is very popular. I’m only giving four stars because I haven’t tried many of the other things on their menu, besides the breakfast stuff.

Walking past Mithaas, one can’t help but notice the fresh mithaee(indian sweets) staring back from the large glass cases. Hence, the temptation overtook my senses and i stumbled inside. Unlike most pakistani/indian spots, Mithaas is clean and the aroma of fresh food make this place a viable stop for families and friends. Their mithaee was fresh and priced at the standard $ 6/lb, however wasn’t anything special. On the other hand, their Jalebi was sweet and crispy and definitely was their best offering for the day. Overall, the prices are fair and the place is clean, thus making it a spot worth visiting at least once.

This joint opened some time ago to replace the appalling«HFC»(Halal fried chicken). Anyhow, I spent $ 9 for a great meal to take home. While I found the food was lacking the heat I’d expected, it had great flavor. The desserts I picked up were great, but too pricey at $ 1 each. Come specifically for the naan, which I believe they make cook when you order it($ 1, afaik)! I’m not sure if it’s a mistake, but I got 2 samosas for $ 1, which seems too good to be true. They were tasty. I got the food to go and it was room temperature. I microwaved it at home to make it warm, but I’m not sure how I feel about this. If it was warm, I would know it’s microwaved, but should they have done it?(end rant)
