One of the best restaurant in Williamsburg So underrated Please people, do yourself a favor, go to MIUSA and forget about all the crappy food and shitty Willi B service you’ll get in the neighborhood

Has all you ask of a wine bar… good samplers… perfect atmosphere… of course good selection of wine and the candles are fine as well. And the«check journal» is a twist to your night. A fine recommend.

Great atmosphere. Probably the best bottomless brunch deal in town. Food is delicious. Owner frederico is the nicest, friendliest guy, who makes you feel like home every time you show up. One of our most favorite places in Williamsburg.

One of my favorite restaurants in Williamsburg. Elegant and creative seasonal dishes at a very reasonable price point. I’ve been several times and never been disappointed. The service is the one inconsistency here, with some waiters seeming a little inexperienced for the caliber of the restaurant. However, it has never ruined my experience, since the food and atmosphere are both incredible, and the waiters are still friendly, even if not the most attentive. Atmosphere: Chic, reclaimed wood and white tile, candles on every table, wine bottles along the wall Food Recommendations: Small plates: Changes seasonally. 2 per person makes for a good serving. Examples: Grilled lamb chops, spicy octopus stew, roasted corn. Beef tartare is very good and a great portion at the price. Entrees: Tuna Tagliata is phenomenal, but make sure to ask for it rare. Slow cooked chicken is tender and juicy, the bacon gravy is phenomenal Red beet gnocchi Dessert: Make sure to sample some cheeses! Personal favorite: Bonne Bouche

This place was fantastic, from start to finish. Stopped by for happy hour,(2 for 1 cocktails or wine), a few small plates and dessert. I started with the crabcakes with sautéed mushrooms and the filet mignon carpaccio. Both had delicious flavor and were plated nicely. I finished with one of my favorite desserts ever, yes ever!, with the NYC cheesecake. It has a crème brûlée crispy top on it and is paired with strawberry sorbet. Their ambiance is great, especially on a warm day with the open air front. Staff was attentive and sweet. I would definitely recommend this spot!

Love this neighborhood… trattoria? It’s called a wine bar. And they do have a great selection of very reasonably priced American wines. But it’s got a nice menu of Italian classics that you don’t normally see on menus in NYC. Like tortellini with ham and peas. Tastes like nonna’s! Seems to be run by some Italian friends who really give a s$&@ about what they’re doing. Tuesday’s has a nice jazz combo in the spirit of Django. Reasonably priced. Great atmosphere. Should be packed all the time! What more do you want Williamsburg!!! Come. Eat. Enjoy… bc it’s a great, under appreciated spot in south wburg.

Here works the chilliest bartender in Brooklyn(I’m presently sober, so this is not one of those I’m drunk and love everyone rants). In addition, I enjoyed the simple but elegant layout, the pretty solid selection, as well as the fairly fresh playlist.

Great spot for small plates, great tasting tapas, drinks, live entertainment and great customer service. Their timing is a bit off with everything(just being honest) but overall I recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a wine bar with some good eats in Williamsburg or close to Manhattan. Meatballs were delicious, lobster raviolis were fresh and sooooo good, smoked ricotta gnudi was also very good. We ordered drinks that were also the best, a Moscow mule(best we ever had), they freeze the cups and a cranberry sour which was also made perfectly. We’re still waiting on the cheesecake, though our food came out extremely fast(back to back), our drinks and dessert are not coming out as fast. I rather have some time in between each dish and I think they should work on that. Maybe he forgot about my cheesecake? I’ll get back to you guys on that … They forgot the cheesecake, they are paying attention to everyone else since they do not know us. The way to create customer loyalty is through paying attention to everyone. They also did not remember to bring our last round of drinks. 5 stars for the taste and 1 star for the service as of now … So to me that equals 3 stars. There is one guy here who is great with customer service and once I find out his name I’ll post it so that everyone to make sure to ask for him because once he left, service was terrible

Loved this place! The vibe was so chill, the music nice. I had the triple cooked fries + cheese and the red beet gnocchi – both were sooo delicious. The gnocchi in particular made me sit back in my chair in wonderment with its unique combination of flavors. I even got to try the chocolate mousse dessert – with housemade vanilla ice cream – and it was a perfect delectable pair that balanced each other well. Then to top it off, I had a wonderful time chatting with the bartender Jonathan and chef Ezekiel. I felt like they really took care of me, were super on top of things and were nice gentlemen. It was hard to say good night to them(I was there between 1:30−3 am). All in all a magical experience, and I would be happy to return next time I’m in Brooklyn!

Came here for the first time last night. It was on my list of places to check out since the summer, and I’m so glad I finally got a chance. The restaurant is just the right size, the right set up and with the most romantic golden lighting; I was inspired. Everything I ate was tasty(lobster ravioli, tuna tartar and steamed clams; I was also very happy with our wine choice). The staff was great and attentive; we even got free shots at the end of our meal. I recommend sitting at the bar. It still feels pretty intimate but all the while you get a chance to people watch;)! My new favorite spot.

Yes, yes, yes! There’s so many places to choose from in Williamsburg and this place is definitely worth it. The cute fairy lights pulled me in and the reviews were pretty good. But I really recommend this unassuming little wine bar. Don’t be mistaken by the name, there’s more than just wine! The service was exceptional, our waiter was so great. The restaurant treated us to 2 free desserts because they thought we had a long for our food(we didn’t think so), but it was such a nice touch. We would definitely go back, some of the most fresh, unpretentious and delicious food I’ve had in NY so far.

I try to make it here 2−3x a month because I’m determined to eat everything on the menu. It’s such a great local spot in south williamsburg. Exceptionally good food and drinks and amazing atmosphere! Over almost a dozen visits this place has not disappointed! The salmon is really spot on, the macncheese, sliders, scallops, the OMGGOOD feta salad, the«chocolate dessert» everything is so good. I love the vibe and ambiance at night, looking forward to brunch and lunch. Don’t miss happy hour 5−7pm 2 for 1 wine and cocktails and half off beer! This is an amazing value to get a well made cocktail or glass of wine for like $ 5!

This review is way overdue. I’ve already been here so many times and the service and food are stable and consistent. I must say, this is my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn so far. I’ve been to so many restaurants here in Brooklyn(but don’t write many reviews) and for me this one takes the cake… here’s why… With their wide and open space, during the day the environment is hip and airy. While at night when all the candles are lit and the place is nicely dimmed, the vibe gets cozy which gives an excellent ambiance. Still like during the day… a continued welcoming and cool atmosphere. A place perfect for hanging out with friends or date night. The staff is always friendly and the service is impeccable. They are attentive, polite, professional and accommodating while the owners are hospitable. The menu changes from time to time, keeping it fresh and exciting. The food comes out on time, perfectly portioned and attractively presented. And most importantly, it is absolutely delicious. Evidently, MIUSA uses fresh and quality ingredients. Not to mention, very reasonably priced from alcohol to food. They have excellent beer and wine selection. Their beer selection changes seasonally. My favorite beer there this summer is River Horse Belgian Freeze. It’s wheaty with citrus and caramel notes-perfect for summer or any time of the year ;) I’ve also had their Bloody Mary. It’s not on their menu but you can ask them to substitute tequila for vodka. One of the best Bloody Marys I’ve had in a long time. I also like their margarita. Margarita is a common drink but hard to make well, and they got it on point. As for wine, I recommend NXNW Red Blend Columbia Valley. It’s a blend of two or three different reds with a smooth finish. It’s like having Malbec(my winter wine) and Pinot Noir(summer) at the same time-perfect for any season. The oysters are sweet and fresh. So fresh you could taste the ocean. Brings me back to when I was growing up in the Philippines, every summer we would rent a hut by the beach and every morning they would sell freshly caught fish and oysters. Last time we were there they had an oyster special– $ 1.00 per oyster from 12 –7pm! I highly recommend you to check this place. You will have a wonderful experience from start to finish. Can’t wait to go back! By the way, their rooftop is open :)

I went to MIUSA on a date, and although the date was only semi-tolerable, MIUSA was definitely awesome! The food was really good and I really liked the décor and ambiance. It’s a great date place, they have cute two-person tables, but also a large communal table in the middle, which is really good for large groups. I’m planning on having my birthday celebration here. MIUSA gets all of its products locally, which at first I didn’t think was such a big deal, but then when I was actually there eating, it definitely felt really cool knowing everything was locally sourced, and you can taste the difference too. Another thing I thought was really cool was when we ordered our wine. I was the one talking to the waiter about which wine I wanted and telling him which kinds I liked. So when he brought out the bottle to try he gave it to me instead of my date(it was really good). As a girl, this has never happened, and it felt really cool and progressive!

S 4th street is gold! I There are cute cozy restaurants/bars with amazing food on every turn! This Friday I stopped by MIUSA is officially my fave wine bar in March :) MIUSA is situated on a quiet residential block in the Williamsburg southside, away from the hustle bustle on Bedford. I came in around 7-ish on Friday evening. There were only two couples(but the place fill up quickly approaching 8pm). Obviously, this is the place perfectly for first or second date or friends catching up. It was love at first sight. Before I even sat down I know this is my kind of wine bar: warm and rustic décor, wall of wine, long communal bar, deem lighting and soft music. Not to mention the super sweet wait staff. Wait, there is more! Menus is seasonal, small plates oriented, broken into«meat», «veggie» and«seafood» categories plus larger plate options and assortment of cheese. I opted for the Roasted leeks with extra sharp cheddar, paprika breadcrumb, glazed pearl onion and topped with a poached egg. So good! It is like spring on a plate :) I also got the wild strped bass carpaccio with shredded watermelon radish drizzled over olive oil. Light and subtle, but nothing special. Would opt for something more savory, say the lobster risotto, which sounds very good. The wine list. If you are a domestic wine fan, this is your paradise. All whites are $ 38/bottle and reds are $ 45(?). Very reasonably priced. I had a dry reisling to start, followed by a young and vibrant, raspberry-ish pinot noir. All good. I had a relaxing Friday evening at Miusa, which is exactly what I needed after a stressful week. Thank you! It def worth the $ 20 + cab ride crossing the bridge :) Oh I got words they were planning utilizing the rooftop in warmer season. And that would be amazing. Come before it gets crowded!

Awesome little joint. MIUSA stands for«Made in U.S.A» and they do exactly that. Their menu is based farm to table concept supporting locally grown produce. Love love love. Located in busy Williamsburg, this wine bar definitely fit in with food and style. It’s American food with an Italian chef, but served to order similar to Spanish tapas. Allowing everyone at the table to mingle and get a taste of each dish ordered. The dishes are absolute palate pleasers. What I noticed was that almost all the food had a charred taste, which is nice on some dishes, but not on all. I was pleased with everything except the wild striped bass, which was slightly overcooked and lacked flavor, the mushrooms were a nice touch but again didn’t compliment the dish enough. The gnudi was delicious as well as the cauliflower. The atmosphere was very romantic with a nicely dimmed room, large tables and candles table side. Awesome date spot overall if anyone is looking. I believe to get a proper experience, a pretty penny will have to be spent. But the alcohol is potent and will do the job in round one. Just make sure to ask for a polished glass. Oh and did I mention they serve food until 3−4am most night… They are ready to feed the community. Or the drunken crowd coming back from«the woods» down the block. Keep up with the innovated menus.
