I have gone here for drinks and appetizers and it was a cute little place. Super convenient if you live in the Avalon next store. The main dishes always look good but I have not had the chance to try any yet. Definitely a nice fun spot to try do you are in the area looking for a fun stop to have drinks.

We live very close, so we often find ourselves here. I really loved when they had coffee service in the am, but they ended that. There isn’t much coffee around minus Starbucks, so we were sad to see it end. It’s a pretty good lunch and dinner restaurant. Excellent service They changed their menu recently. Looking forward to trying it all out.

Went in last night to Myrtle and Gold and found a whole new menu and a down to Earth vibe. Started with a warm, soft, buttery pretzel in a yummy dipping sauce, followed by cauliflower nuggets. They sound weird, but everyone in my group loved them. They were crispy and flavorful, and I could fool myself into thinking they were healthy. Next, we shared a few plates, fried chicken was crispy with a touch of sweetness. The«riblets» were and meaty and we had fun pulling the meat off the bone to wrap in lettuce. M & G… I love the new menu and will be back to try all the things I was too full for last night.

Double-stack burger is awesome. Staff is super friendly and it’s a cozy space. Best burger in Downtown BK.

I’ve only had the bread pudding and I loved it. It was richly flavored. I’m looking forward to dinning.

By far, M+G is the best bar in Rambo! Service is always friendly and food is always delicious. Their breakfast sandwich is incredible, and small enough so you don’t feel awful after you finish it. Grilled Caesar salad use to be one of my favorite items but they took it off(hopefully it will be back soon).

Nice low key place close to metrotech. Burgers are great, beer selection is okay but crafty. Waitress was attentive and friendly.

Not gonna lie, I had low expectations when I ordered tonight through seamless. More often than not, the Brooklyn options on seamless are very mediocre at best. Well, Myrtle Gold is different. It was terrific and the food arrived hot. We had the honey wings and a side of Mac n Cheese. Both were exceptional and the delivery was faster than estimated. My only star deduction was that it’s pricey. It was $ 24 with tip and tax for essentially 2 appetizers. Will order again, might try something different next time.

I was really excited to have something good nearby. I’ve now been here a handful of times, dinner, brunch, happy hour, etc. Each time was more disappointing than the last. I think we all want this place to be better than what it is — a very average restaurant with extremely average service and ambiance. Depending on who your server is and what you’re there for, you could have a decent time, but it’s just been so inconsistent. I’d rather walk an extra 5 – 10 minutes to somewhere that I know is solid. Pretty sad.

This place has great food. The chicken pot pie was like a chicken salad with a deliciously soft puff pastry on top. Flavorful, rich, creamy: absolutely delicious. WELLDONE, MYRTLE&GOLD. But I do have a hangup about their space. There were not that many people in the restaurant but it was really loud. I think this has to do with the shape of the space, but it was pretty frustrating. So watch out for that when you go with a group. Overall, they have a great selection of alcohol(drafts, both wine and beer, and cocktails) and a nice menu that’s mid-range affordable. I recommend the food but don’t go with your parents who are slightly hard of hearing.

My boyfriend and I popped in last night for a bite after a long day of moving apartments. Our server was really sweet and attentive. We were debating between two pumpkin beers so she brought over tastings. We had the wings, mac and cheese and two burgers. All dishes arrived quickly and hot! I particularly loved the mac and cheese and French fries. Atmosphere was fun, nice lighting and good music. Manager, server and other staff said goodnight as we left, which I always appreciate. We will definitely come back!

The double cheeseburger was pretty good. $ 12 w/o fries which is really all you need(+$ 3 with). Beers were reasonable at happy hour. $ 6 for a good local IPA. I’d go back…

The turnover is astronomical. They literally measure out your drinks like a woman on weight watchers and her tuna salad. Most astoundingly, they do not see that MAYBE to not GOOB, be nice to the yuppie locals who tip 20% and actually are cool. But they all just don’t care.

This is a great little spot in an area with not much else around. Their space is shockingly cozy, given the generic new building it’s in. They really put a lot of thought into creating a warm, inviting space. Fittingly, the service was great. Their wide range of price points and options makes this a great neighborhood spot. You can eat for $ 8 or $ 28, have a $ 4 beer or a $ 12 cocktail. There’s something for everyone. I had the mac and cheese and I was really happy with my choice.

This place has been a god-send for my wife and I as it is one of the very few, places that has outdoor seating and has never given us a problem with bringing our dog. The food is always great, especially the mac & cheese and bone marrow apps. Very highly recommended.

Overall, I thought this restaurant has the right idea but is lacking in execution. The service was friendly but not attentive enough for the quality of dining they are going for. I thought their risotto was bland and underwhelming and their salmon was dry and also underwhelming. From first glance, the menu looks inviting, fun and a little daring. I didn’t think the flavors actually met that dialog though. There is room for improvement here and I probably wouldn’t return until I notice a larger crowd. If it stays at the rate it is now, I’m not sure it is going to last. Pros: Great interior, very friendly staff, interesting enough menu. Cons: Bland food, slow service

So far so good. I like the atmosphere, however, the table sitch is awkward and the chairs aren’t comfortable. I’m not a fan of high tops and the place is mostly bar seating and high tops; there are only a few regular tables in the back. When I go to a restaurant with low lighting, and am in the mood for the kind of vibe this restaurant seems to be peddling, I want to sit at a table that doesn’t hurt my ass. The food is good. We ordered the wings which were on the sweet side, but had a kick that continued to build as we ate. They were crispy and fresh. Would order again for sure. The burger is good but nothing to write home about. The bacon is thin and doesn’t really contribute much to the sandwich. For the extra $$$ I expect some sort of artisanal, thick-cut, smoked-over-endangered-bark nonsense. The LTOP was really fresh and the bun was nice. Hopefully a one-patty option appears on the menu soon as the only burger offered is a double and is a bit too much for us. The fries are on point and the salad was legit. I asked the salmon addition be cooked medium and it came out medium rare, and in some spots rare, but if cooked to the proper temperature would have been a winner. The salad was chopped which was a nice surprise and the dressing was tasty. Overall it’s a solid option in an area that really needed it. If this place opened in the city I would have given it 3 stars but in BK, and this area, it’s a 4 though I hope the owner doesn’t let the lack of competition stifle quality.

Went in for lunch with a friend. He had the burger(they only offer a double burger, which was waaay too much meat). The order of fries that came with it was also humongous. I only wanted something to drink(ginger ale, for stomach/heart ache). Both were fine. I really like the ambience of the place and the waitstaff was very attentive.

Dear M&G, You are a welcome addition to the culinary desert known as Downtown Brooklyn, and more specifically the Metrotech area where I work. I have yet to eat your food(perhaps a work dinner in the near future?), but I do enjoy your morning coffee service. Thanks to you, I can enjoy a delicious Forty Weight cold brew in the morning while the rest of the clueless workers in the area down their burnt Starbucks or watery iced La Colombe coffee. There’s one issue I have with you though M&G…if you are going to serve cold brew or any other iced drinks, please please please put out simple syrup on the counter with the rest of the add-ins. I have visited you at least 5 times now and every time I have had to ask if you have it. Sometimes you say you don’t, and other times you find it in a large plastic container in the bar area fridge. I am a man that likes consistency, and it would make my relationship with you even better. Xo Justin
