I’ve always enjoyed this place and I’ve probably gone there 10x in the last few years. Great ambience, nice garden out back in the summer, friendly staff, and very reasonably priced(but remember cash only) They even have a DJ sometimes which is a nice vibe for a place like this. We mostly go for the specialty sushi rolls. I find them to be so artfully created and delicious that I don’t venture on much else, although they have lots of other good stuff on the menu. Great place for dates, family and friends. Laid back with a nice hip décor.

I came here specifically for the beef satay because my friend will not get over rating it up. I stayed for a happy hour priced mango mojito and roti canai. Mango purée mango mojito, not that mango syrup bs you get at some bars(makes a significant difference). The roti came with a red curry sauce. Sooooooo goood. I’m reminiscing as I type this. A tasty ass $ 6 mojito and $ 3 roti, please tell me how you can go wrong.

I’ve been ordering from Nana for over 10 years and the food has always been top notch. The sushi is better than a lot of places in Park Slope with«better» reviews. In a neighborhood where restaurants turn over faster than you can blink, there is reason a place like Nana has stuck around for so long. This is a reliable place to get a solid meal for a fair price.

Unfortunately when we arrived at 10:12am, the doors were closed. After calling the establishment to ask why do they list brunch from 10am-4pm the female restaurant employee stated that they are open. I responded that the door is locked… she then says, the CHEF has not arrived but we can come in and wait 20 minutes. As I write this part of the review, it is now 10:29am. While seated, I asked for tea(it’s was terrible) and we were kindly served. 5 minutes later salad(it was tasty) was served to us and she proceeded to take our order… with no apologies for the wait except that she doesn’t know when the chef will arrive as he may have had an accident. As I write this line it is now 10:43am We ordered the steak and eggs…1st my dining partners plate arrived at 10:57am COLD and a minute later my plate appeared of the same temperature!!! I requested that my eggs be poached HARD. they were not and when the waitress asked if they were ok, I responded that I asked for hard. They were taken away and microwaved as I heard the beeping… my microwaved poached eggs were then served to me, super dry. Both steaks were basically frozen and set to a grill with no seasoning. I despise A1 sauce but it became my best friend for this Sunday Brunch as I needed something to mask the blandness of the meal. The home fries were also tasteless along with the toast(broiled slices of Italian bread). I guess this is what to expect with fusion. Oh yea, we were the only patrons in the establishment for the entire Sunday brunch experience… as I write this final line, it is now 11:18am…EMPTY !!!

I’ve been going to Nana for YEARS and have yet to be disappointed. The greeters and waiters have always been the same so, that welcoming feeling is always there. There is a bar, outside seating, and a DJ on certain nights. No matter who I come with, they fall in love with this place. The décor is pretty funky, clean and the restroom is usually pretty clean. The only downside is, they close ONTIME meaning, when the kitchen/bar is closed. It’s closed. Which is understandable as everyones job ends when it ends lol. I love this place nonetheless. OHYEAH! Get the Roti Canai and Panang Curry!

This is one of the worst, most overpriced meals I’ve ever had. This pathetic excuse of a restaurant is the reason I joined Unilocal — just so I could let everyone know to, at all costs, avoid this joke. Paid $ 30 for two tiny, flavorless meals and a small side that were prepared late. You could not pay me to eat at this place again. If you want your money’s worth, go elsewhere.

Great happy hour food at the bar. If I was only rating the restaurant based on happy hour, I’d give it a 5+++, but I went for brunch and was disappointed. Dinner is decent, but happy hour wins.

Nana is a casual Asian spot that offers a variety of Japanese, Malaysian & Thai dishes. I love me some good Asian food but unfortunately, Nana failed to deliver. Maybe the chef had an off day but I was not satisfied with my appetizer or my entrée. Pro’s: –Nana has decent happy hour from 5pm to 8pm. –The prices are reasonable & good portions. –I sampled the pork chop with stir fried vegetables & wasabi pepper sauce & it was good. –The restaurant is spacious & has a nice patio seating area. –The servers were quick to take your order & even quicker to take your dirty plates off the table. Con’s: –The roti canai appetizer crispy pancake part was good but the potato curry dipping sauce wasn’t sauce, it was more like flavored grease. It lacked texture & potato. –The chicken pad see ew noodles were half burnt so I didn’t enjoy it as much as I would have liked. I never return my food because I feel that it insults the cook so I tried to eat most of it. I was unsuccessful. Since I wasn’t happy with my meal, I skipped dessert. Since there are other places to try in the neighborhood, I am not sure if I will re-visit Nana & give it another shot.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Brooklyn. They have the best appetizers and the menu is really affordable, $ 7 – 15 for a great meal. I highly recommend the Buttery Chrisy Ipoh Squid(calamari), but fair warning it is spicy! I love it though, because it has so much flavor. I’ve been to Nana countless times and I have to say that I have never been dissapointed with any plate so far. My ideal meal there is the squid, Kim Bali Pork Chops, and the Volcano rolls… So good! There’s also a patio, so its perfect for summer days/nights! It gets busy on Saturdays so be prepared.

I’ve been here a few times now and have always enjoyed my order, the sushi especially has always been very fresh. Now that the weather is finally nice, I was able to check out their outdoor seating and loved it. The only thing I’d recommend is that you sit underneath an umbrella, or somewhere at one of the middle tables — otherwise, flowers from the trees will rain on your food and into your drinks. I’m going with 4 stars because the last couple of times I’ve been, service was really slow(1 waiter + a bartender dashing back and forth between mixing drinks and waiting tables). Not their fault that they’re understaffed, but it was a drag to have to wait to eat because they forgot to bring chopsticks until the 4th ask. Still a great place that I’ll definitely come back to.

We had dinner reservations elsewhere. We got to the place early and the bar was too crowded so we decided to stop in here for some drinks and appetizers while we waited. Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded staying here. Less crowded, the place was comfortable and rustic and they even had a house DJ who played very well. He played some modest upscale hip hop, reggae, some remixes and even threw some reggae remixed with Indian music, much to my mother’s delight. The appetizers were great! I had the eel and cucumber roll and the eel was well cooked. The roll was very tasty. My dad had a lemongrass seafood soup which was very well-prepared. They cleaned the jumbo shrimp on both sides, something I always appreciate very much! My mom ordered the dragon roll which was very good also. The presentation and taste of my cousin’s chicken and shrimp wantons were outstanding. I also ordered a large hot sake and it was the biggest large size I’ve ever had. The texture was soothing as well. Our servers were particularly inviting and the service was noteworthy. I kinda felt bad about not staying for entrees. I almost forgot to mention that the price was extremely affordable. I really liked the scenery very much, the Buddha paintings and the décor. Cash only. I’ll definitely be back.

My roommate loves to order takeout from Nana. Tonight, she decided to order dinner for both of us. Unfamiliar with the menu, I scrolled through what it had to offer. Oddly enough, the pineapple fried rice stood out to me. Complete with pineapple, peas, carrots, red pepper, and mushrooms, it actually tasted healthy, and was quite filling! For what it lacked in flavor, I added to it with Sriracha(who doesn’t keep Sriracha in their fridge?). Another fan is won!

Wouldn’t suggest it but would go again if someone requested it. Unbelievably cheap for Park Slope! $ 9 – 10 for a full entrée. Oddly, some cocktails cost more than the food. Service is very friendly but slow. We had to flag down a server 4 – 5 times, and it seemed no table had a waiter assigned to it(we were helped by 3 – 4 different people). Still, place had an interesting look and the biggest fish tank I’ve ever seen outside an aquarium. Chicken teriyaki was solid, but nothing I’d wake up from a dream salivating over. There’s Kinjo in Ft. Greene for that.

The ambiance was great for a nice leisurely Sunday brunch. We happened to come across this place just walking around the area and the food is very good. I would definitely go back here again. I have the quiche Lorraine and he had the pancakes with fresh fruit. I am not going to lie it took a little minute for the food to come out which was confusing being that we were the only ones in there when the order was made. If you are looking for a spectacular to do this is not the place. If you are looking for a laid back place to do brunch where you can throw on a hoodie, some sweats and kick back or even a place to start your day and then be off to enjoy a nice Sunday this is perfect. I will definitely being going back to check out there other menus.

I am unsure how I feel about this place. I was not wowed but there was nothing too negative about this place. You have the option to sit immediately at the bar and there is plenty of space to do so. My friend and I chose to sit at the bar. The waitress/bartender was AMAZING. Extremely engaging and I truly enjoyed her. The food did not take too long to come out and the prices were actually pretty good. I had a mojito [passion fruit, which was okay but they use generic juice opposed to purée for this specific flavor] and my friend had a rum punch. That was a really good drink. We ordered spring rolls which were only $ 4 for 4 and they were really good. The sauce on the side has a spicy ting to it but nothing unbearable. We also ordered the chicken and beef skewers [it’s definitely called something else] and they were really good. Nice and juicy no complaints I just did not fall in love with it. My friend had a dish, I believe it was Shrimp pad thai not completely sure but I do know that it was pretty spicy which was not relayed in the menu. However, I did enjoy my time there overall. The environment is also very nice, welcoming. TIP: Cash only !!! This is pretty inconvenient for those like myself who do not carry cash. Plus unless I missed it I didn’t see a cash only sign. However they do have an ATM. This would be the only negative thing I have to say about this place.

Great food and drinks… However when i paid the bill the bartender demanding a tip turned me off… They don’t except cards and having exactly the right amount wasn’t enough for this lady… After i explained my friends and i only had cards she proceeded to talk crap about my friends and i top other customers… So i will not be returning until she is replaced

My friends and I were in a desperate mood for some food before heading back to Brooklyn Boulders for some serious climbing. Walking down 5th Ave was a challenge to find a spot to eat. Luckily, we saw Nana’s menu and instantly caught our eyes. Upon entering, you get greeted with the bar/bartender. Pass the bar to the left is where all the diners are. Very modern and retro. I loved how they have a wide selection of cocktails and wines to choose from for an Asian Fusion place. We ordered the Pad Thai, The«kueh» Teow, and Pad Kra Pao Beef. All were excellently done(or maybe we were just starving?). The presentation of the noodles were interesting also, our entrée was placed on a plate that looked like a boat… cute. We also ordered 3 desserts — Coconut Flan, Chocolate Soufflé(not a soufflé at all), and the Black Sesame Crème Brulee. The best out of the 3 was the Chocolate«Soufflé,» chocolate-y goodness, if you ask me, it’s more on the chocolate lava cake side more than soufflé. The flan was pretty plain and boring, do skip that. The brulee lacked black sesame which wasn’t that appealing either. Overall, the entrée outweighed the desserts so I would love to come back for their other dishes. A lot of people ordered their sushi, must make sure to order that next time. Great vibe, great food, and service was on par.
