There’s a lot of things I like about mango. 1. The location — it’s in the slope but in a quieter, calmer part 2. The menu — a huge selection, seriously, the options are endless not to mention you’ll find things at mango that other Thai places do not have 3. The prices — great portions, great price 4. The décor — it’s cute and modern and the tables are spaced out enough so that people aren’t on top from one another Now for the food. We had a salad with steak on top($ 6.50!!!) and drunken noodles($ 8) which were both very good. The only thing was this– the waitress asked us how spicy we like the food and I said medium. Medium to them is a fire burning, mouth scorching party in my mouth. Generally I don’t care but I was hungover and it was a little much that day and couldn’t eat a lot of it. It’s ok though because I’ll definitely come back to try other things and check out the lunch specials.

When in the area I usually go to Spice but I tried this place because I saw a Unilocal deal. I went with my friend and we were both very content with our meals, I am sure we will be back. The food was very good, tasty and had great presentation. I wish I could remember the name of what exactly I ordered but regardless it was delicious. I went pretty early so I was able to take advantage of the lunch special so it included a delicious appetizer. To top it off we also had the green tea fried ice cream which was also so good!

I shouldve known from the dirty tables to be wary… I was enjoying my food until I noticed hair infused in my fried rice. i guess cooks no longer wear hair nets! I am editing my review to include the fact that my visit was in JUNE of 2011, I just forgot to hit«post» and my review was sitting unfinished since then. Im only doing this because the manager(PASU) wanted to dispute my review, and claim I must be a fake customer. smh No Im not a fake customer, and your restaurant was probably closed by the department of health once AGAIN! I just checked and saw the tons of violations you’ve gotten in the past! Now you get a demerit, down from 2 stars to one!

The food is a 3.5, but the service is a 1. They rush you, and barely give you time to think. However, food is pretty good. My sister and I order: thai iced tea, some pork appetizer, calamari, drunken noodles, and fried rice. The thai iced tea was not the best, but pretty good. The calamari wasn’t the best either, but better than the pork appetizer. The noodles were GREAT! My sister said her rice was yummy. We left satisfied, and full. Not the GREATEST food, but they have select items that are YUMMY. If you are in the neighborhood give it a try, and see how it compares to other so-so local thai spots.

We sat on glamorized porch furniture, but I didn’t care. The«remix» has a huge menu, wildly affordable prices and a BYOB prerogative. All signs point to YES. Summer spring rolls were basic. Veggies wrapped in noodley paper with peanut sauce to dip. My cashew delight with tofu was absolutely delightful, especially at $ 7.50. It lacked a kick, but that was easily remedied with a spoonful of garlic chili sauce. Tofu was steamed and silky. I will happily return to this quaint remixed mango, especially with a $ 10 for $ 20 Unilocal Deal OR the 25% off Unilocal check-in offer. Awesome.

I’m the Foursquare mayor and there are 5 easy reasons why I am not embarrassed by that fact: 1. Good food — love all of the classic noodles(woon sen especially), a friend enjoyed a *flaming* chicken once, want to try the Brooklyn seafood special next… 2. Open late — till 11:30 Fridays and Saturdays! 3. Unilocal deals, Groupons, etc. — cuz times are tough. 4. BYO2BC — bring your own 2 buck chuck! And all other booze. 5. A friendly waitstaff — and they don’t hate on our abundantly scattered 2BC bottles all over the tables. Very much appreciated.

I decide to stray away from my everyday Thai spot and ventured to this location one night… All I can say is at least I tried. It’s not that the food was bad because it was good but unfortunately not good enough for me to come back. Guess I’m back to square one…

Service and ambiance: A Food and drink: B $ 10 for $ 20 was the only Park Slope deal I could find on Groupon Now, so off we went! The restaurant is actually now called Mango Remixed, probably a comment on their sake-based cocktails. The waitress said we could apply food AND drink toward the Groupon. Win! I got the«Mango Momojito»: sake, mango purée, mint, lime juice, and soda. Sounds great, right? It was delicious and came in a big-ass tumbler, except wasn’t alcoholic at all. Ah well, $ 6. Our food came after an average wait. Portions are not giant so don’t expect leftovers. The Drunken Noodles were okay, because at Thai places they always are. But the Green Curry was… disappointing. Nicely spicy, but watery and VERYSWEET! Yikes. The bowl of rice it comes with is also minuscule, so if you don’t need to order more, you’re stuck in the land of curry used as a dredging liquid because the alternative is a soup bowl of curry with bits of soaking rice. I would not get a curry here again. The décor and ambiance were clean and colorful with an IKEA look(their silverware is from IKEA! ha). Usually Starck-ing up a restaurant is obnoxious, but it was pleasant and quiet and dimly lit here. The space isn’t huge, but on a Friday night just under half the tables were filled. So for 4 tables, there were 2 – 3 waitresses. Our water was always filled very promptly and we had to wait just a few seconds to order and get the check. I wouldn’t refuse to come back(especially with another Groupon or Unilocal deal…), since the menu is quite extensive and I’d bet I could get something good while avoiding the curry.

We used one of those cool $ 10 for $ 20 deals and was really hoping to like this place. and we do… but we don’t LOVE it? It is a good place to go if you are hungry for some fast, quick and easy, filler food. The Tom Yum soup is a little spicier than most places. and the Pad See Ew beef was average. The sweet potato fries – albeit a surprise on the menu – was a little under cooked and soggy. But the sweet chili dipping sauce was good! The service was good, and the waitresses are very friendly. All in all. great deal on average Thai Food.

Since I’m new to New York, I’ve been on a quest to find ‘my spot’ or ‘go-to’ restaurant. I’ve found that Groupon has this feature called Now Deals and allows you buy deals for restaurants that you have to use by the end of the day. That’s what I did for Mango Thai Fusion — $ 10 for $ 20 worth of food! I figure that would be a great way to try different things on the menu. I came in was seated right away(only a few people in at the time but filled up within the hour I was there). I started with the Won Ton soup for $ 3.95. It was really good and a good portion for just me. I tried their Calamari(for about $ 5) which was lightly battered and seasoned with Salt and Pepper. It wasn’t as crispy as I would have wanted but the calamari wasn’t tough at all. Then I tried the Garlic Fried Rice with egg, ginger and chicken($ 7.50 or so). It was good(needed a little more seasoning but nothing soy sauce can’t fix) but actually had a few bites and took it home because I had already eaten so much. Lastly, I ordered the sticky sweet rice with mango. It was delicious. I wish they had put more cream on top of the rice since it was a little dry. I’ve uploaded 4 photos of the dishes I ordered. Overall, aside from my the $ 10 I paid on Groupon, I had to pay an extra $ 3 and tip. Not bad at all. I will be ordering from them again. They are also available for delivery.

The $ 20 dollar Unilocal deal for only $ 8 bucks was the push I needed to finally dine at the usually empty Mango Thai Fusion. Let’s be honest, with the variety of Thai options in this area, the location is not ideal. That’s too bad because I did enjoy the food, until dessert. After the main course and appetizer, I was thinking three star rating all the way, then I received my dessert, along with the most unsettling turn of events. First, the wrong desert arrived at the table. I let the server know, then watched her get berated by the man in charge. Okay, that was awkward. Ha! If mango is in the name of your restaurant, please recognize if the mango is ripe enough to serve. This mango with my sticky rice was slightly under jawbreaker status. It was time to wrap it up, so I presented my Unilocal deal, via mobile. Instead of jotting down my redemption code, he asked for my phone, and walked away with it. It was just a very unsettled feeling. After thinking about the overall service, I realized that not one person smiled, said thank you, or made eye contact. It was just a tense, cramped dining experience. Now, to clear my conscience. Amidst all the awkwardness, I realized much later that I tipped on the discounted amount. I rate my night’s tipping ability at one star. Sorry Mango Thai, I’ll hook you up, but next time it will be through delivery.

As a foodie, I have been very picky about restaurant and have not found any good ones in Manhattan. Found this restaurant on Urbanspoon with over 90% rating at time of visit. Since the app allows reservation, I made a reservation for 5pm on a weekday. Phone calls came from the serving staff at 5:05 and 5:10 again, reminding me of my reservation while my friend and I were walking toward the restaurant. Nice. Space is small but quaint. Great variety of fancy cocktails with excellent price($ 6). Their house wine is riesling! Menu has extensive selection– indication of confidence of the chef. We ordered mango salad — not my friend’s favorite since they probably splash it with fish sauce, but I didn’t mind the fishy sweet and sour taste. Crab fried rice was very nicely done and flavorful; it reminds me mom’s cooking! Pad Thai with tofu and vegetable is excellent, moist and tender with many variety of vegetables. My friend and I spent three hours in the restaurant deep in conversation and enjoying ourselves. Serving staff were friendly and polite; they kept our water glasses filled and always approached us with a smile. First impression was good. Definitely recommend for girlfriends’ night out, first date, taking your kid to try Thai fried whole bass(as one of the dad with his daughter) or just by yourself. The only suggestion I have for the restaurant is to place some large potted indoor plants to sound proof each table; I was conscious of how loud I might have been while seated by the window corner.

Not sure about the earlier bad reviews but I believe that Mango Thai is at least on the same level of food quality as Joya. I had the drunken noodles and they had a good texture and the flavors went well together. I know it is labeled as spicy on the menu but if you want your mouth to be on fire ask for some spicy sauce. Having said that, no complaints about the drunken noodles. My girlfriend had the Hawaiian sweet and sour. The sauce was NOT overpowering and went well with the fresh tasting vegetables. The shrimp were cooked quite well not too chewy. A refreshing change of pace was the salad that came with the lunch special. Instead of that weird Orange sauce that is way too strong, they used peanut sauce. It went well with the veggie dumpling and meatless springroll.(Not a complaint the spring roll was light and pretty refreshing taste wise). Even though we were the only ones in there we didn’t get ignored and were very polite. We ordered the appetizer 5 – 10 after the entrée and they still brought that out first. The resturaunt looks very nice with its warm colors and interesting design. We will definitely be coming back to try more of their delicious food!

A rare neighborhood Thai place better for dining in the lovely back garden than ordering in, as the overall food quality is just OK. We stuck with traditional Thai dishes, as the«fusion» entrees, which included a blue cheese Udon noodle dish, didn’t seem very appealing. The yummy sake-based cocktails and absolutely delightful server are other good reasons to dine-in here. The food is good but lacking the fire one associates with Thai cuisine. My Labb, a salad made with n this case ground chicken that in it’s most excellent state balances pain and pleasure in equal measures had a nice crunch from the toasted ground rice but failed to incite even a mild sweat. An appetizer of calamari was expertly fried and crispy, but I was underwhelmed by my duck, which while tasty also swung too far towards the sweet side of the Thai palate.

We order from this place regularly at work for lunch. Their lunch special deals are $ 6.95 for an entrée, soup or salad, a spring roll, and a vegetable dumpling. A pretty solid deal and the food has always been pretty good. They are prompt with their delivery and courteous over the phone. I guess my own complaint would be that I wish the food was spicier at times, but that’s just a minor detail that I can easily overlook for solid food at a good price.

A huge menu with all of the classic dishes, plus a few wild cards(sweet potato fries?!) The food is comparable to most Thai places, nothing exceptional but the noodle dishes are good, the papaya salad is fresh, and the calamari appetizer has a generous portion. Most of the dishes I’ve tried have been not QUITE as good as Song on 5th Ave, but the prices are about the same and its BYOB! Service is always quick and attentive but not overbearing. BYOB means that this is my go-to thai place for dine-in, but I will continue to be loyal to Song for take-out.

My best friend wanted Thai so I recommended my favorite neighborhood Thai spot on Seventh Ave. in Park Slope. But damn this recession because they were closed! After pacing back and forth and silently wringing my fists, I searched Unilocal and found Mango. Hungry, we cautiously went in while wondering«what the hell does Thai fusion mean?» Here’s our experience in a nutshell: The menu’s bigger than the place which makes my living room look like a yard. There were 2 open seats but we still had to ask for seating. The spring rolls tasted stale. How’s that possible? The Thai iced tea was whatever. And when we walked out, we were met with the unmistakable smell of pizza. Was it a former pizza joint? I can’t recall. The Pro: Lots of veggie friendly dishes and a bang for your buck. I would eat there again on a super hungry, fitful day but trust that there is better out there.

The delivery guy came to my door and was pretty rude, so I was afraid for a second that I forgot to add a tip when I put in my order online. I hadn’t forgotten… so what was up his ass? Something about me: I love fresh summer rolls. You know, soft rice paper, noodles, veggies, and a peanut sauce to dip them in. I often decide whether or not to order from a place solely based on whether or not they have fresh rolls on the menu. Sometimes, I just eat the rolls and put the rest of the meal away for later. I just want to stress how important these rolls are to me. I unwrapped the pair of summer rolls from their cellophane(strike 1) and uncapped the little tub of peanut sauce, noting that it was a little chunky and oily(strike 2). I dipped the first roll into the sauce, and took a bite. Basically, y’all, these vegetarian summer rolls are giant wads of lettuce with little else. I was so sad. I kept taking bites, looking for something to redeem them, but was rewarded only with more and more lettuce, and then something else I couldn’t identify but that tasted kind of funny. I didn’t even finish the first roll, and left the second uneaten. I think by now you know me well enough to know this made me genuinely unhappy. Strike 3 :-( I popped the top off the veggie and tofu roadside noodles, and they were edible but mediocre. There was fennel in them, which I wasn’t expecting and don’t like. I admit my opinion of the noodles was tainted by my disappointing and scarring experience with the rolls, but that’s why I’m giving a second star… I’m sure they have lots of other food that’s great. But as for me, I won’t be ordering again. *** 5÷15÷11 — Got a lovely message from the owner offering a free meal as a make-good. Props for the proactive customer service, but there’s so much thai available that it seems like a waste of time to try Mango again. Maybe in a few months when they’ve had a chance to get it together a little more. *** 7÷26÷11 — A message from another user: «How is it a „waste“ of your time to get a free meal? Come on.» I think it’s a waste to spend more time eating food I didn’t like in the first place.

Very clean, comfortable atmosphere. Awesome lunch menu. Absolutely delicious. I go so often that they know what I want when I show up. I haven’t tried *everything* on the menu, however, I have liked most things. Here is are the things I’ve LOVED: 1. Chicken Satay 2. Golden Curry Puff 3. See-u noodle with whichever protein you like, or veggie 4. Pineapple Fried Rice 5. Thai Iced tea or Thai Iced Coffee In the Summer, you have the option of dining in the backyard. It’s very cool out there too but being inside is just as good if not better :] Hope this helps!
