I love this Salon, recently had my highlights done by Rebecca, ask for her! She is the best colorist. I also love the facials by Ruby, also ask for her for any waxing or spa treatments.

I made a pre-birthday appointment here last week after passing by on my way home. They have an amazing special $ 55 for wash cut and blowdry on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They were nice enough to give me a 7pm appointment to accommodate my work schedule. I was planning on doing a simple trim since I was not familiar with the stylist but when I began to describe the long bangs I was hesitant to try she seemed to know exactly what to do. I had a lot of damage at the ends of my hair so I resisted saying anything when it felt like she was cutting ALOT. When she turned me around, I was so happily surprised. My hair looked so full and healthy and had a great natural wave to it. The cut even amplified my two month old color. Sadly I cannot remember the name of the stylist but she was amazing! I definitely hope they have her on file with my name next time I go. Best hair cut in years and for a fraction of the usual NYC price.

Had an appointment today and no one was there. The doors were locked and the lights were off. As I was waiting outside, a girl passed by and told me they do awful color and not to go there. Not having a good feeling about this place at all. I had to get a babysitter to watch my son for this and now have to find another salon and pay the babysitter to come again. So unprofessional. A call to cancel would have been appreciated.

I made an appointment to get my usual haircut with Edlira(i literally went from queens center mall to bedford just for her to cut my hair, she’s THAT good). When i walked in they casually responded that she’s not here, that someone else will take care of me. I was like [pause] what? I’m guessing the manager was making an excuse that the receptionist screwed up and didn’t understand who i was trying to make an appointment to. But I’m not an idiot. When i make an appointment i specifically request who I’m talking to because i usually know all the people that works there. It’s been a couple of months but holy crap – people who i used to know no longer works there. From the receptionist, hair stylists to the girls that wash hair. I used to tip everyone who washed my hair, to the girl taking my appointment as well as my hairstylist. I know the amount of effort they all put in so I have no problems doing that. Anyways, i was pissed off i was lied to but took the haircut anyway cause i had a flight to California for a wedding soon. Connie took about 2 ½ hours for a haircut trying to replicate what Edie did. Which is difficult since Edie has been my hairstylist since i was 20 … now I’m 28. I waited 8 months to cut my hair and after 2 ½ hours it didn’t seem much was cut. So I basically paid 65 dollars for a «haircut». She tried hard to keep the same style as before but I think she was too nervous to cut further. When my mom took a haircut here she walked away upset because the hairstylist didn’t listen to what directions my mom was giving her(she’s very anal but at least she’s very direct in how to shape her haircut). My mother and i been close to a decade of customers for Aveda. But after that crap they pulled off, we will be no longer. [deletes business number] Edit: If anyone really liked what Edie/Edlira she’s currently working her own business in Cobalt Salon. There’s always one or two that keeps asking for her – send her my regards when you visit.

I made an appointment with my usual girl but when I arrived she wasn’t there. I paid more that I usually pay but I did the same things. Thank you hopefully this will help you.

Honestly, I’m not sure what happened, but this place is completely different from the last time. As usual, I was in the neighborhood for my short fiction workshop and I needed a cut. I made an appointment with my usual girl, but when I showed up she wasn’t there! That’s a very thin crust thing to do to someone. They seriously tried to say this stranger was my usual stylist. I had to leave. As an ex-cop, ex-marine from Chicago, there are two things I loathe: thin crust pizza, and liars.

Any place that badmouths local businesses is not fine by me. Especially while I’m getting a facial.(Are you kidding me? I came here to relax!) There are far nicer, independently-owned beauty businesses in the area that deserve your hard-earned money, and operate with far more integrity than these classless and tasteless jerks.

Last weekend I left this salon with the worst haircut I have ever gotten. I’m not one to complain, or even write reviews, but I feel this is necessary. After spending 1.5 hours with one woman, my bangs were one centimeter long and what was supposed to be a one-length bob was almost a mullet(not kidding, it was down to my shoulders in the back and up to my chin in the front). Then another woman came to try and resolve the problem, spending another full hour pretending to make things better, but the hair was already gone. The cut looks worse everyday. I still cannot believe I paid money to this salon – and am now going to pay another to fix this whack job.

I had an eyebrow shape at this salon and it was horrible. I’ve been growing out my eyebrows for months — which I carefully explained to the beautician. She agreed to just doing a ‘clean-up’ and to my horror she hands me the mirror and has completely taken off the hair I was growing out. Not only that but she explains that she was trying to make my brows match but yet I’ve walked out with mismatching eyebrows, one that looks like half of the McDonalds logo. She needs to focus on the job at hand rather then try make conversation throughout a booking. For some reason she decided to comment that I have a good haircut so I shouldn’t worry about my eyebrows!!! I’m so upset. And it’s going to take ages to grow them out. Don’t takes your eyebrows here!

Tried this salon for a haircut when I first moved to the neighborhood, and now it’s the only place I go and I’m never disappointed. Edie is fantastic — she helped me grow out a bad haircut(from another place) and always spends so much time giving the perfect, intricate cut — she does exactly what I ask for but is also able to suggest what will/won’t look good. Couldn’t recommend more!

Went to the spa for a 1hrs full body massage — and unfortunately it was not a great experience, which I also had to stop after just 20 minutes. The lady was a little friendly lady from Nepal, but she either did not have any experience, strength or educational massage background cause all she did was talk a lot and rubbing me gently in oil. Several times within those 20 minutes I had to ask her to use more strength and go deeper, which is I guess the point of having a deep-tissue massage. Furthermore, the massage bench was dirty when removing the top sheet I found hair and stains of oil from a previous massage. After all they still charged me 30 dollars for a service not worth a dime. If I could leave zero stars I would. I am sure they are brilliant at other services just don’t go there if u need a massage.

I love Jason. He really gives the best blow outs and gave me a dry cut, which I prefer to regular wet-hair cuts. I’m also the kind of person who will scream TRIM in your face because I am constantly trying to grow out my hair and get rid of the haystack ends, but no one ever listens to me! Jason listened and his dry cut gave my hair a new life, but didn’t look like I got any length taken off. I’ve come here 3 times and going back tomorrow. Highly recommended.

I know that this is mainly a hair salon, so note before taking this review into account that it is for the waxing services. I usually go to and love Serenity Day Spa but they were booked and I was in a pinch. I have probably had a hundred bikini waxes, conservatively, so I know the routine and what to expect. This one was very thorough but probably the most awkward one I’ve ever had. The relevant information is that she did a good job but that the place wasn’t particularly clean, the room was hot, and she couldn’t find gloves in her kit she just went ahead without them. Pair that with a lack of disposable underwear or any attempt at draping and it was not a dream come true. Think gynecologist in a basement. Bottom line: no ill effects but expensive for the cleanliness/service/basement situation. I will avoid in the future for waxing services.

First of all, I love Aveda salons and used to go to them often when I lived in Austin, TX. So I’m quite familiar with Aveda hair color. But I had a very unfortunate experience coming here. My hair was dark blonde and had not been touched by color in over a year, so I was ready for a new look. I showed the hair colorist, Jason, the color I wanted in photos — asking for a light to medium coppery red for the spring. He said I needed highlights and would start with the base color. He brought out hair samples, and we decided on a brighter medium red. What I got was a dark, dark brown — with a hint of red. Also, they left the hair color on much longer than I’ve ever experienced(maybe my hair needed it?), but when the dye was washed out, I saw some breakage around my hairline that most definitely wasn’t there before we got started. Jason and I agreed we shouldn’t continue with the highlights. Over the following 2 – 3 weeks I tried calling the salon repeatedly, asking to speak to the manager who was never in, no matter when I called. I finally left a complaint with the receptionist who took my information and promised the manager would call back. Nope. Two stars instead of one because Jason realized the color wasn’t what I asked for and offered a free glaze. Yay.

I used to be really happy coming here. I even got my boyfriend coming here, but I think that it has run its course for me. Jason has always been the one to cut my hair, but when I recently asked for a bit of change, and even showed him pictures, he simply didn’t do what I asked and basically chopped off 4 inches of my gorgeous locks. Now I’m just sad wearing my hair in a ponytail everyday. I was obviously in shock too when he was cutting my hair and I saw how short it was, and he told me «just give it 3 days». Yeah well its been over that and I still hate it. I think Jason just does well with basic cuts, but not any sort of cutting edge changes that actually fit your face and your hair type. In short, he is not innovative. He also never ever styles it how you actually ask him to. Last year he cut bangs for me on the night of my 30th bday party and I looked like a country western singer the way he blew them out. I had to pin them back for a week. My other peeve with this salon, is that despite the fact that every is super nice there, they are constantly overbooking people. When I went in for color a few months back, Jason was so over booked, he only cut my hair. That’s right, someone else put on my color, he showed the shampoo girl how to do my ombré(seriously?!), and then someone else blew me out. Ridiculous. I’ve heard much better things about other salons in Williamsburg, and many months from now when I need a cut after my hair has grown out from this terrible cut, I’ll be trying one of those. Hey, at least summer is coming so a ponytail won’t be so bad.

I had a great experience here with Kristen. I used to frequent the Queens location of Natural Look but I got tired of their so so service. It’s been over a year since I got a haircut and I was in desperate need of one. I usually do a hair day with mom so after much hemming and hawing we decided on this place. We went on a Sunday and were the first appointment so we were able to get all the attention we needed. The décor of this salon is super cute. Very natural and hipster. Kristen spent a good amount of time with my mom who was getting color and a cut. She really took the time to talk to my mom about what she wanted as far as her color and my mom was really pleased. When it was time for my haircut I let her know all my hair issues and she was really great about giving me a cut that brought out the curls in my thin, fine, curly hair. She didn’t take that long with my cut and blowdry. We talked just enough but she was fine with me just sitting there and enjoying the haircut. The shampoo was probably the best part of the cut. She massaged my hair and neck so well I fell asleep. The yummy smelling shampoo and conditioner that Aveda has only adds to the great experience. Overall we got great service and it only took about only an hour and a half for 2 haircuts and color. Kristen was a great stylist and I can’t wait to go back.

I was so thrilled to find an Aveda salon close to me in Brooklyn. It is lovely. Great selection of products but they don’t push you to buy. I really enjoy my haircuts with Michael. He’s very talented & super fun! I couldn’t be happier with this salon. I always look forward to my visits & find them very affordable for how luxurious and professional everyone is, also combined with the talent level and how happy I am with my hair when I leave.

Edie is my savior. Background… I just moved here from Austin and my angled bob needs fairly regular trims and a really precise cut to look good. Last week, I went to a different salon in Williamsburg and was pretty disappointed. The stylist cut my hair dry, spent only about 20 minutes on it and when I said I thought it looked a bit lopsided, he made a few more trims and then said, «It’s your part. It’s supposed to look like that.» Not so much — it never looked like that before. I wasn’t thrilled… so, while a braver soul might have insisted he fix it on the spot, or gone back, I would rather find someone I communicate with better. I love Aveda products so I found Natural Look and got a same-day appointment with Edlira. She knew exactly what was wrong when she looked at my hair and was extremely precise in the cutting. I told her I wanted to grow my hair to shoulder length over the next few months for my wedding, and she knew exactly how to angle it so it would grow out nicely. I was amazed when she was done — the angle was perfect, the light texture was perfect. My hair looks so chic. I don’t color, but she suggested some subtle things we could do, like a glaze, to enhance my hair for the wedding. She was so friendly, calm and professional. I couldn’t be happier! Last but not least, the receptionist was so nice and the shampoo was great. Wonderful salon with all the professionalism and pampering I’d expect in NY at a totally reasonable price. I’m officially a regular!

I had a appt at a local salon but when I got there they ran out of shampoo. Thats another story… It was the day before NYE and I was leaving for the weekend. I had to search last minute for a salon. I found this place as I was driving and they gave me the absolute last appt. I forgot the guys name but he did a awesome blowout! He was very nice even with me being a last minute appt. I am now their loyal client.
