Poor service didnt even check on us the bus boy check on us more then the waiter and the alfredo was nasty had no flavor it was like the just dumped milk and called it alfredo didn’t even come with meat just pasta and the waiter had a nasty tone the whole time. Not sure why when the place was empty was the only on there not like she had mych work to do

An excellent restaurant with a terrific atmosphere. The service is impeccable as well. I recommend the Chicken Marsala with penne pasta and it was to die for. There’s nothing like a family owned restaurant.

This is my comfort spot for over 10 years! I call in advance because I have little ones and they always have my food and pizza ready. Agatha, Nina and Roman (waiter) are like family. I have had many parties here including a baby shower, baptism and graduation party here and the space is very accommodating. You need very little décor because the linens are great.
Warm fire, hot garlic bread and some Merlot! SOLD every time!

I work in the area. Stopped in because it smelled so good. Smells way better than it tastes.

I stopped in here during Halloween after my sister insisted the pizza was awesome. I trusted her and didn’t check my trusty Unilocal app.
This was the BEST PIZZA I’ve tried in a long time. Classic Brooklyn cheesy slices. It’s all in the sauce. The mozz sticks are freshly made and very big. The marinara sauce was a home run, you can tell that’s homemade also.
Why the average rating? The service is atrocious. Bad attitudes all over. It seems like the servers hate their job. You’re taking a pizza order, whats so hard about that? Give me a fake smile at least. Now I get why their rating is A-​OK.
I didn’t dine in their restaurant (which is a separate dining hall in the pizza shop) but I can already imagine the service there. If you can get past lackluster service just for some amazing pizza then I’d recommend this place hands down.
P. S. I hear their delivery is super slow — so don’t bother. Drop in for pizza, or take it to go if you want to experience it nice and fresh.

The food here is Awesome! The workers there are PHENOMENAL! The Buffalo Chicken pizza was hot as heck but I couldn’t stop eating it it taste so good! Guess I’ll just burn up cause Imma order it again! Thank You!

I have been coming to Ninas for many many years about 18 to be exact. This is the go to place if you want to have a gathering or plan a party. They have 3 rooms the store front where you can get pizza, subs, pastas rolls and other to go meals or sit down for a fast meal. The middle room is a casual one with a few table and chairs where you can order from their to go menu or their entrees. Every time we get pizza we come to ninas my kids love it here. I also like this subs and their potato croquettes. If you want a fancier dinning experience they have a large dinning hall where you cons also host events from baby showers to communions, and other celebrations. If you get an entrée it is very filling because it comes with bruschetta and bread for an appetizer and then you choose either salad or pasta to go with you main entrée. The chicken Parmesan or chicken Marsala are one of my family’s favorite. I also like he baked ziti or the penne ala vodka. These range from $ 14-​$ 18. The pizza slices are huge and so yummy. I also love the Cesar salad and the chicken Cesar wraps. Everything taste fresh and authentic. My only negative review and the reason why I did not give them 5 stars is their service is so slow. No matter whether the restaurant is busy or not the service is slow and sometimes their waiter has to be reminded a few times before he brings you what you need water more cheese etc. also would be great if they offered kids meals.

I don’t get what all the crappy reviews are for because I always have good experiences when ordering from here and my boyfriend & I love their cheese pizza and it’s also piping hot when it arrives, but maybe we’re just lucky b/​c we live fairly close by. I do agree that their delivery could be faster and I’ll also have to say that I really didn’t like their margarita silce that we had at the restaurant-​way too doughy and just yuck… Their plain cheese pizza rocks, though!

I like their pizza. BUT the low rating is entirely based on how they treat their staff.
Apparently if you work in the back, be prepared to make less than minimum wage and have your employer take out money off your pay check due to using kitchen equipment «inefficiently».

If I could give zero stars I would. Took 2 hours for them to end up canceling my delivery order. When I called after a hour and a half to check on my food they said it would be delivered within the next 10 minutes. Then they ended up canceling it. Couldn’t tell you how the food tastes.

Before I start I want to say that Nina’s food is absolutely delicious! I have been coming here since I was 15 years old and delight in every meal I have although the pasta fagioli soup is my absolute favorite soup on the planet! I am fortunate to have been able to attend private parties here where the service is always friendly and accommodating! I have had Romano as a server many times who always works hard to get you everything you want and need. But I have to say something important… The wait for the food is always VERY long. Honestly I think this is because the food always tastes so fresh and homemade that it is as if every meal is prepared from scratch. However I also feel this is because they are catering to their private parties, order ins, and takeout which is a whole lot to manage. If you are willing to wait an hour for food I guarantee the wait is worth it, just make sure you are patient. I love that Nina (partial owner) is always on the floor serving and working with guests. Besides the soup my top three favorites are the potato croquettes filled with potatoes and cheese covered in a crispy breading, the chicken francese with a light breading and lemony taste that feel delightful on the palette, and who can forget the PIZZA with a crispy crust, superb sauce, and a fresh mozzarella cheese! I will keep going back here forever and continue to enjoy the Italian wine bar décor at the private events:) I hope you all enjoy this place as much as I have for the past 15 years!

This placed used to be good, but the service has gone down hill. They have a cheap pie, but it is terrible the next day. The wings are really good, but their delivery takes FOREVER, will be extra late, and probably the wrong order.

I had high hopes looking at an inexpensive menu with a bit of variety but after waiting over two hours for delivery and tasting less than mediocre food, I’ll never order here again. After two or three phone calls to check in on my order status, they said that my apartment was a little far (even though it came up in range on seamless) and that the driver was having trouble getting there. They later said he was having trouble finding it. At the end of all that, I got $ 5 off the order for two people but the food wasn’t worth spending anything at all, not to mention we were starving by the time it actually came. :-(

Perfect cheese pizza

This might have been the actual worst food I have ever had in my entire life. I ordered butternut squash ravioli, green beans and mashed potatoes (super healthy balance, ha!). When my delivery arrived 30 minutes after the seamless estimated delivery window, I was in total shock. The 5 ravioli so cold/​old they were stuck into this «Alfredo» sauce that tasted like fish. The green beans were room temperature and so soggy… like week old thanksgiving leftovers. The mashed potatoes looked inedible. I tried and spit out. They were lumpy and had a weird flavor that was in no way «potato». I think all the food was super old. I should have checked Unilocal first; they had 5 stars on seamless. I hate that I just wasted money on food but it is completely inedible and I do not advise ordering from here. Ever.

It took an hour and 40 min to get to me and at that point I was so hungry I was willing to eat the food without emotion. But the chicken and mushroom wrap is really good. A little dry but nicely grilled and a good thin wrap. I feel like– yes, if I’m in greenpoint I’ll go in to see how the service is and mmmmaybe, I’ll order takeout again but this time 2 hours ahead of my usual eat time!

I’m not usually inclined to write a negative review, but the delivery time was an hour later than what they told me, the pizza was cold, and they sent me garlic bread instead of the mozzarella sticks I had ordered.
Service is half the battle and 50% is failing. I won’t be giving them any more of my money.

We placed an order via grubhub. An hour later, when no food had arrived, we called them to see what the deal was. They unapologetically explained how their delivery person got lost (it would have been nice if they told us that), and that they were on the way with the food.
30 minutes later we still had no food. Called again, and they said that there was a mistake on grubhub and that we were outside of their delivery parameters. Yet they never called us at *any* point to let us know what was going on. Knowing we were going to receive 2 hour old lukewarm food, I suggested they should give us $ 10 off our order.
At that point, the woman on the phone became belligerent. She would not let me speak to her manager, claimed she was the manager, said the owner was ‘too busy’ to talk to me. She refused to give us a discount and tried to blame us for ordering our food from them when they don’t deliver to our area.
So, because they set their delivery parameters wrong, they’re going to leave us hanging for an hour and a half with no food. Either that, or they just straight up lost our order and are going to try to blame us? Fuuuuck that. These people are not only rude and incompetent, they’re batshit crazy. Do not waste your time, especially if you’re hungry.

Order from here if you want cold pizza and hour and forty minutes after you have called. If I had gone to the store, bought a frozen pizza, and cooked it myself, I would have been finished by the time Ninas arrived.
Upon calling the store over an hour after ordering to enquire where our pizzas were, the lady was rude and hung up the phone without answering my question.
An hour and forty minutes later the delivery man arrived. Neither he or the lady on the phone apologised for the delay.
The pizza was cold and the cheese was congealed, meaning we had to microwave it before we could even touch it, which resulted in a chewy crust.
It was a massacre

Mediocre food across entire menu. With stiff competition very close by, you’d think the counter staff would make perhaps even a moderate effort to be pleasant. But nope. These people are unhappy. If you insist on finding out for yourself– be ready to get sucked into a black hole of misery. Avoid this joint. It mostly sucks.
