Great food and place my favorite dessert is the chocolate brownie. And the milk sharks full of flavor

This outback has kinda been like a family place for celebration for as far as I can remember. The food had always been good and the service was either okay or good. But the last 4 times that we have come here in the past year. This place has continued to disappointed us and last night was probably the last straw. The steak tasted like it was just defrosted and wasn’t marinated at all. The service has gone to crap!

Disappointing sorry to say. Food wise ! Our waiter was very pleasant and accommodating. We ordered simple this night. Salad and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp were just slightly over cooked. The were edible, but barely. It was 10:45 and we were tired so didn’t want to make a fuss. The salad was the real problem . Suppose to be predominantly mixed green but arrived predominantly iceberg. And since iceberg lettuce basically hasn’t any nutritional value and cost penny’s and is used primarily as filler, are the main reasons we stay away from it. The waiter did check the menu to confirm it was to be mixed greens, plus we added grilled chicken on top. That was the kicker. For strips of chicken. Like four strips cut from the breast. Like they must have gotten for servings from that one breast. Really? Really? 4 strips and they tried charging 14.95 or there about’s. So we choose something else and had a couple of bites and went home. This isn’t the first time. Our last couple of visits to this outback have had issues. We like to go there because it’s nearby but they really need to step it up or just shut it down. We wait a couple few months between visits with the hope that we’ll find improvements . We’re still waiting.

Today my family went out as a celebration for my sister’s graduation. I come here a few times a year and the service and food just keeps getting worse. The only positive thing about today was that the wait for a table was quite short. We only waited for around 5 – 10 minutes. Once we got seated in our booth, we stared at our menus for about 10 mins waiting for our so called waiter to come by. Ten minutes in, no waiter, no bread, just us waiting. Finally our waiter, Nicolette C. came by and asked for our orders and placed some plates onto our table. My dad ordered the New York Strip medium with clam chowder and baked potato, I got the Outback Sirloin medium well with baked potato soup and sweet potato, my sister got a chicken sandwich with baked potato soup and we got wings to share. The funny thing was while ordering, my dad asked for a budweiser and somehow she took that in as a margarita. My dad has a chinese accent but I’m pretty sure that was still no way near a margarita. She told us she would«be right back» with our drinks and bread. We passed out the plates just to see these black residue sticking onto my dad’s plate. Of course, disgusted, we wanted a new plate but we had to wait for Nicolette to come by. I went to the bathroom and came back, yet there were still no drinks. About another 10 – 15 minutes later she comes by with our drinks and bread. The bread wasn’t even warm, it was quite obvious it has been siting in the counter for a while. After another 10 minutes, another worker came by to give us our wings. Then another 5 minutes, another worker came to give us our soup appetizers but the oyster crackers were not with the clam chowder. Seriously? My dad, seeing that even if he wanted the crackers would have to wait a decade for it to even come, decided it was too much of a hassle to wait for Nicolette to come by. After another 5 minutes another worker came to give us our entrees, Nicolette was nowhere to be found. We asked for some napkins and some A1 sauce but the worker said she would have to tell Nicolette to give us it. Now, we were pretty upset already because Nicolette was definitely not serving us and our table was completely filled with garbage. Plates from eating the wings, the actual plate the wings came from, our soup bowls and our actual entrees. We started eating anyways because we were hungry and after a few minutes Nicolette came by to clean up our table. We asked her for A1 sauce and some napkins because we assumed that worker did not relay the message to her. Once again, she told us she would«be right back». Ok, that’s fine. My family and I started eating and then we realized our orders were wrong. My dad’s steak seemed much smaller than mine and looked medium well and mine had blood in it. Since we were quite annoyed at this point, we really just wanted to eat and leave. Nicolette came back when I was half way done with my steak with one tiny bowl of A1 sauce. Did she not notice my dad also had steak? Also, when she handed us the napkins, the top one had A1 sauce smeared on it, which is pretty disgusting. The quality of the steak was also horrible. The outer part was burnt while the inner meat was red and bloody. Whenever I put a piece in my mouth, I tasted the burntness of it and it grossed me out. Not only that but I felt as if my family were treated unfairly compared to the table next to us. A family sat down at a table next to us about 45 minutes during our experience. I watched Nicolette constantly go to their table from the moment they sat down. They got their drinks and appetizers a few minutes apart and she kept going back to them while my family needed service and was not provided. I stared at her as she struck minor conversations with that table while she never even came by once to ask if we needed anything, if we wanted dessert or if we were enjoying our dinner. Not only that but when that table asked for A1 sauce, they received a full bottle, I wonder why? Not to mention, in the very few times she came by, not once has she even smiled or even ATTEMPTED to smile at us, she spoke as if our presence were torturing her BUT towards the other table, she was full of smiles and attitude! Well, at least we know that she is SOMEWHAT capable of smiling. As we were almost done with this dreadful dinner, she placed the check onto our table and told us «whenever we are ready». Excuse me, what? Without asking if we wanted anything else, she just gave us our check. That level of rudeness was unacceptable. As we saw the bill, the 20% tips was underlined. Hah, they would’ve thought we would do that. My family was seriously debating to not give any tips at all from a horrible waiter, horrible service, wrong orders and horrible food except we simply decided on 15% from sympathy. I wouldn’t recommend this steakhouse to anyone who wants to eat in general. Might as well go to a nearby deli and grab a sandwich, it would most likely taste better than what I had.

The food is mediocre, just like any other Outback. However, the service is a huge disappointment and leaves me questioning how these servers/hosts are qualified for this position and how they even got hired. The wait is usually long and even longer when waiting for the food. The bread is always warm and serves as the perfect appetite grabber. However, the wait is so long my family goes through 5 – 6 loaves of bread just to contain our hunger. The bloomin’ onion is crunchy and the sauce pairs well with it. The Alice springs chicken quesadillas were quite delicious. My only gripe would be that the chicken was a little too dry(they may have tried to overcompensate with the addition of more cheese). The clam chowder soup is thick and creamy, but clams were absent from the dish. I think every clam chowder needs at least a couple of clams in it so there is a meaty element and a textural contrast. The crab stuffed mushrooms were meaty and delicious and I would definitely recommend. As an entrée, I got the full rack of baby back ribs with a side of broccoli. The ribs were good but smaller than I envisioned. I have a pretty petite figure and a full rack didn’t fill me, so imagine how much a person of normal size would have to spend to be full from their meal here. The side of broccoli seems like it was cut by someone blindfolded. The pieces are so large that they can’t be eaten in one bite. Nonetheless, due to the size, I guess it makes it okay to only put four pieces of broccoli on the plate… My family members ordered the firecracker salmon, no rules Parmesan pasta, ribs and chicken on the Barbie, the ribeye, Aussie lobster tacos, and chicken Caesar salad. The salmon had a nice glaze and grill marks and the veggies were lightly seasoned with salt. The mango salsa didn’t taste fresh at all. The mangos weren’t even orangish-yellow. The pasta was extremely pricey for some boxed pasta tossed in a cheese sauce and I would not recommend. The ribs and chicken on the Barbie were unevenly cooked. Some parts of the chicken were extremely overcooked and some parts were undercooked. The ribs were succulent. The ribeye was not cooked to medium, as asked. It was closer to medium well or well done; there was no pink left in the meat. The Aussie lobster tacos were excellent. The breading was flavorful and crunchy. The lobster was still moist and the pico de gallo had a good amount of acidity to it. The chicken Caesar salad was just like any other salad, except with way more dressing drenching the lettuce. Overall, the food is below average and we would rather spend money elsewhere.

I understand why this restaurant got bad reviews; it was for the service. We got seated immediately after we went in. But after that, it was a long wait before a waiter actually came to give us our water and take our orders. The food also came out quite slow too. It was roughly an hour wait from the beginning to when we got our food. The place had dim lighting; as if they don’t want you to see the uncleanliness. The floors under the tables were dirty. I don’t believe that they sweep after each group leaves. The lamps that hangs over the table is dusty. If you tap on it, you will see dust fall on the table. The food was actually very good. I came here to celebrate my father’s birthday with my family. We all ordered steak. I ordered a rib-eye steak with mashed potatoes and fries. The rib-eye steak was cooked perfectly — medium rare. I finished everything that was on my plate. It was deliciously good. If it was not for the cleanliness of the restaurant, I would have gave this place a 4 star.

Our server Chris was wonderful. My complaint is not about the service at all. Everyone was very sweet. It was so busy on Mother’s Day, so I expected the long wait for the food. My compliant is completely with the chain itself. This restaurant was so unbelievably DISGUSTING. It smelled absolutely horrible. Honestly, like someone peed all over the stairs. The bathrooms made me want to vomit. I feel as though I may have a disease. Some clear maintenance on this outback needs to be made. And some facility upgrades. And just general cleaning. Maybe some better planning for holidays. The food was very sub par. I was not impressed. The cheese served on the vegetables and the appetizers was very poor in quality. It made the food actually worse. I was just not impressed, nor we will be going back.

So today my family went out to celebrate my moms birthday. I was disappointed in my experience here since it was my first. I was disappointed about the wait time for a table. I understand that I had a party of 9 but it shouldn’t take about almost an hour for seating. Besides that, my party had a reservation made ahead of time. Next, we were seated and the waiter accommodated us with drinks. But honestly, how long does getting drinks take??? It took about 15 – 20 minutes just for drinks. He also didn’t give us any bread until we asked for it. I really didn’t like the service. It took an hour to get our food. The food was just warm to cold; everyone’s steak/sirloin wasn’t even made properly. Each meat was either hard, dry, or just dead even thought it was all ordered as medium rare. I saw my uncles side dish of broccoli with cheese; it look like a broccoli with a piece of cheese over it which didn’t look appetizing and anyone can tell the dish was done a long time ago. My cousin had a sauce with his side dish and it tasted like a salty A1 sauce used in a Chinese fish dish. I’ve heard countless complaints my friends have told me about how the outback gets some orders wrong yet they serve everyone in order. It was similar tonight but the main thing that ticked me off was the service/food. I really question why they like to serve all the food at one time? Like the waiting time is originally slow but why make it even slower by holding onto food and making it colder before giving it to the customers. Overall, my first experience will probably be the last time I would come here. I will probably only come if they start to improve. It’s basically a hit or miss. In total, I was here for 3 hours. Basically waiting for more then 2 hours and probably only 5 – 10 minutes for the meal to be done. It was just a ridiculous meal that could have been done quicker and sooner without the slow service.

Wood-Fire Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie — give me a break. For $ 11.49 I dont expect to get tiny over-cooked shrimps with spicy tomato pieces. Not recommended. * MARSALAROASTEDSIRLOIN — not bad. A bit over-done, will get med-rare next time. *** CLASSICGRILLEDCHICKEN — Again, a bit over-done, but was good. **** Aussie Fries — nothing Aussie about them. Plain soft fries. ** Clam Chowder — pretty good but a bit spicy. **** Baby Back Ribs — saviour of the meal. Soft, juicy, cooked right, liked by all. ***** For such small portions I would not expect to pay $ 85, but for 4 it’s fine. I guess just as with Applebee’s the more you pay for an item the bigger and better it is. I dont recommend $ 10 specials there, and neither at Outback I dont recommend to order cheaper items. Go all out, pay more and get bigger portions. Overall, based on what we had I say it’s a 4 out of 5 stars.

I am extremely disappointed in my dinner experience to outback yesterday, I do not plan on returning to this location anytime soon. Look I know outback is a chain that is not top of the line, I cannot expect it to always be beyond mediocre, but last night was a total fail. First of all there was 0 parking in the designated lot, all the spots in the front that are for take out customers only were totally being taken by those planning to dine in for the night. We had to get parking across the street, we were lucky to even have that. The smell of this restaurant when I walked in was so putrid. It smelled like rotten eggs, old dirty dish water & a chemical polish that you would apply to wooden furniture. I have to say it was a short wait to get seated, took us less than 10 mins to find a table. The menu itself was great in terms of variety, you had your classic cut steaks like filet mignon and sirloin to strip steak and t bone, they also expanded their options by adding carved meat and surf and turf add ons. They also have good options on adding butter when your steak is grilled our sautéed mushrooms. they also expanded their sides of soups and salads since I was last there. Of course there are the infamous appetizers of bloomin onion[still frickin amazing], or cheese fries which you can add bacon to. The drink menu has expanded greatly, I liked how there was both skinny options and seasonal options like key lime martinis, blackberry martinis, peach or strawberry sangrias for as like as 4 – 8 dollars, you can even order a pitcher for less than $ 20. We opted for the coronarita, and this is when I realized this place lacked consistency, why is that only one drink had salt on the rim and the other did not. I also was not happy that some pieces of my bloomin onion had breading coming off, like it was almost raw. The entrees were messed up, I ordered a sirloin and my bf got a filet mignon with lobster added, but they switched our steaks up. Since I happen to try his filet mignon thanks to the mix up, the medium rare we asked for looked more like a dead animal. While the seasoning was fairly decent, the meat was already tough to begin with but both our steaks were practically impossible to cut. We had to have it thrown back on the grill. I also asked for steak sauce and got some weird Heinz 57 sauce that can be used on any meat, whatever happened to classic A1 sauce?!. I have to say my sides of veggies and mashed potatoes was delicious and very filling, but that’s pretty hard to mess up. Oh and the waiter who was friendly but timid, forgot my seltzer, took me about 30 mins to finally get it . Overall for two drinks, two entrees, and an appetizer, the bill came out 75 so it is decent prices. I would not go out of my way to come back to this place, the smells and inconsistency is unacceptable.

Good place! My favorite: Victoria’s filet steak+ baked potato + milkshake+ dessert(ice cream on warm brownie cake) = yum! Even though it’s very busy on a weekend it is worth to wait in a line. Recommend!

IF I CANGIVETHISRESTAURANT0STAR, I WOULD. 1STAR does not even justify what a terrible experience my cousins and I had last night. We will definitely not be returning.(WARNING: long post, but it’ll prevent you from making the same mistake we have made! I promise!) We wanted to celebrate my cousin’s birthday and since it was freezing out, we wanted to stay close by and decided to come here. This was probably the worse decision all of us made in our entire life thus far. Not joking. We got there around 7:30pm and got seated right away(YAY! The only good thing about the entire night) But this was also the start of the horrendous night. We were sitting there for 30 minutes and there was no waiter assigned to us. We did not get water, bread, or utensils. Like seriously? Is it not common courtesy to serve water and bread once customers get seated?! My cousin’s boyfriend had to take out his own water bottle from his bag because nobody came to assist us. When our waiter came, we ordered our food and asked for lemon wedges for our water. Another 30 minutes went by and we still did not get our lemon wedges! So. how much time does it take to bring over lemon wedges?! Did they have to go out and buy some fresh lemons or something?!(At this time, my sister was heading to the restaurant from Downtown Brooklyn) I ordered a medium sirloin steak with mash potatoes and broccoli. My steak came out BURNT, so I had to send it back since they have this«steak policy.» The waiter asked me to try to cut it because the inside might be «good» and oh my goodness, it was hard as a rock! I could not even cut it open and the waiter was said it himself, «well, that is not good!» Oh really?! At this time, my sister arrived, ordered her food and she was eating already! Yet… all I had was some appetizer and mash potatoes. my broccoli did not even come out! Second time around, my steak was super well done, it was like rubber. I literally gave up and did not even ask to remake it again because by that time, we have been at the restaurant for 2 hours already. And again. all I had was MASHPOTATOES and some FRIEDONIONS. The same thing happened to my cousin’s steak. We both ended up having to cancel our meal. Also, she had to wait about 30 minutes for her calm chowder soup. Did it really need to take that long?! It better have been made to order or something. But clearly, it is not. My boyfriend ordered a French onion soup, and it came without a spoon. Like… did you expect him to use his fingers?! By the time he got his spoon(10 minutes later), his soup was already cold. Such a disappointment. This place just never improved. At the end of the meal, we asked for our check. My cousin’s boyfriend went up to the front to give in his credit card because we were treating my cousin for his birthday. He saw the worker just playing on her phone and not acknowledging him. Like hello?! If you are going to just play on your phone, then mind as well go home. He had to tell the worker to put away her phone and give us the check. How embarrassing! We did not want to be rude and NOT tip at all, so my cousin’s boyfriend went up to the manager and asked her what is a decent amount of tip should we put down after all this. She had the nerve to say she would give 20%! LIKEWHATTTT??? IFYOUWERESITTINGNEXTTOUSONOURTABLE, YOUWOULDNOTGIVE20%!! She must have been out of her mind. She was trying to say she gave us free food and deducted two of our orders. The extra food that were given to use were technically NOT free when you guys were the ones messing up our orders. When we said«Isn’t it policy that they HAD to deduct the two orders because it wasn’t up to par»… the manager said«Oh, you’re right.» I have no words for this restaurant. I will never be coming back. All I have to say is, thank you for such a horrible dinner/night. **It really was not our waiter, Steve’s fault. He tried his best to accommodate us. Our table got thrown onto his responsibilities because the waiter for our table never showed up. I’ll have to thank him for putting up with everything. He really did try his best.

I always miss the outback steak coz the price and the quality is quite reasonable. The rip eye is good, but i was sad about their slow cook prime rib because when i order the server told me they have medium to cooked only no medium rare… Therefore i hv to order rip-eye. The reason y i rate this place so low is because the service is really slow. First there are many tables. I don’t think my wait for a table has anything related to are there any tables, but there are two hostesses. The regular one didn’t call for me while mine left for a long time. Is that how they work ? Second, the food server was soooooooooo slow on my french onion soup… it came after i finish my steak. On top of that the mash potato is way too salty. The steak n and soup is pretty good! Lastly the waitress is so slow… i knew the tables next to me waited at least 15mins for their check n I waited 10mins. Omg too slow!

First i must say this used to be my absolute favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. When they first opened this was a model for what a casual family restaurant should be. They greeted you at the door, every server knew the menu inside out, it was immaculately kept, the bathrooms were always well groomed and the drinks and food were excellent for the price. Perfect for after work groups. Today was a far cry from those days. I ordered a wallabe darned, a signature Outback drink that tasted like poorly flavored ice shavings. Which was so badly made it is a candidate for the worst cocktail I have ever been served. We then sat down and ordered a bloomin onion, another Outback signature, and it was over cooked and dark brown at the tips and nearly raw on the bottom with a very tart raw onion taste. We sent it back. In the meantime, the table across from us had been seated before us and awaiting an entrée after sending back appetizers that were cold. They were still waiting by the time my bloomin onion was sent back and steak was served nearly 20 mins later, which leads us to our meal. I ordered a 10oz Rib Eye, a staple for my winter visits to Outback because of the marbling that enhances flavor. What I got was a 10oz piece of leather that was although was cooked medium well as I asked was tough to chew!. I can only assume that they thought no one would be able to tell the difference. My garlic mashed potatoes were warm, not hot, however the saving grace was that the broccoli was done nicely. My girlriend had an order of wings that also were cookwd at too high a temperature, dark brown outside, not finished inside. Of the 4 tables that were around us 3 of them had complaints and while the manager did comp 1 table the rest of us were offered extra bread to try to soothe a horrible dining experience. What happened to this place? I used to recommend it to everyone I knew. At this point, it may be a long time before I am willing to give this shell of itself another try.

Franchise steakhouse with family-budget friendly steak menu; Your expectation of a gourmet steakhouse should be left by the generous spaced waiting area of the establishment. Keep your expectation as high as the price point for the majority of the menu; the waitstaffs are as attentive as it can be, we can tell they are just doing their part of job to serve and get through their days, treat them with respect, they deserved it. Very detailed menu, informative yet not overwhelming for the novice steak eater(me), with detailed descriptions of different types of meat/cuts and choice of rarity. You do feel slightly detached from your waiter from once the orders are placed to arrival of your food, personally I wish he/she can be more thorough to follow through with us before our meal comes, but it was never a hassle to catch their attention if you ever do need another drink or two. When the food arrives, the plating needs some improvement, given the meats will always be the prime focus, the two complimentary sides that tags along really an afterthought, I almost feel unfair for the unrecognizable sad and deflated sweet potato, the grill asparagus was good though. Flavour are what you can expect for the cut and price you are paying for, it never hurts to re-confirm again with your server how well your meat should be prepared when placing your order; since mine did came slightly less bloody than I desired for. One thing that bothers me is how quiet the place seems, it wasn’t lively enough; maybe time to make the drinks stronger… MUCH stronger. Haha maybe…

If you go to the Outback and expect Peter Lugar or the Atlas Steakhouse, you will be disappointed. But if you’re realistic and realize you are paying much less money, I think you will agree that the Outback does a good job for the price you pay! Our server, Irvin, was cordial and helpful. John, the Manager, stopped by to ask us how we liked our meal which is always nice. We started with warm bread and butter. I then ordered the chopped steak which was flavorful and cooked as ordered. It came with delicious mashed potatoes and mundane vegetables. My friend had the sirloin steak dinner special which included a salad(quite basic), and for $ 1.99 more, onion soup that was a bit short on cheese but flavorful. Her steak that was ordered medium rare but arrived rare. Our server was very accommodating bringing it back to be cooked a bit more. It took two returns but better to under cook than over cook a steak! I tried it and while it was not dry aged quality, it was worth what we paid. We finished our meal by splitting a piece of cheesecake that came with her meal and was quite tasty. Some things they could improve on. When we received our dessert, no one cleared the main course dishes, so we pushed them to the side of the table. Also the men’s room was not as clean as it should have been(the flush mechanism on the urnil was leaking). Overall, however, the food and service were good, the value very reasonable and outside of the men’s room, the restaurant was clean, comfortable and welcoming. By the way, the give a 15% discount for AARP, so bring an old person with you when you go!

Over the years I’ve worked, I’ve gone here 3 times since my boss treats us to an annual Christmas dinner. Yesterday was the worst food service I could possibly have. I understand that it’s a weekend and there are bound to be waits. However, I believe they made a reservation for 26 people so it isn’t as if we bombarded them with ourselves. Our wait time through the years went from minutes to well over an hour. But given our situation, large party and weekend? I can’t blame them. They tried their best. The next part came after we sat down. Although they said it was good for 22 people(although we had originally said 26 and it still was around 26), we were sitting elbow to elbow with seats missing for some people. In the end they brought more chairs and a table. Next came our food service. I cannot blame the wait staff because they are all busy but our dinner lasted until past their closing time — with the kitchen closed so we didn’t even get a chance for dessert. Now let’s talk about the food. I wasn’t expecting a gourmet meal but I expected the steaks to be cooked to a relative degree of what we had all asked for. However, some of ours came back overdone(in which was brought back and remade) and you could hear them moo in others. My coworkers ate the parts in which they could but otherwise left their steaks untouched. It’s a shame because steaks aren’t cheap and should be made decently well at a steakhouse — albeit a chain steakhouse. Mine was cooked to it’s medium rarity so I was happy but I felt bad for some who sat around me. Some of the sides that came with our steaks were also underwhelming. Some potatoes were still cold in the center when it should be warmed from baking. You could argue that it’s from the sour cream but I doubt it can have a huge effect on it. I think the greatest downfall to our meal yesterday night wasn’t because anyone was inadequate. I think from all the miscommunications and our sheer size’s intimidation had led to our underwhelming dinner.

What do you expect it’s outback not old homestead, which I recommend if you want a good quality steak, like they say«you get what you pay for» well that goes for chain restaurants also, no one really goes there because the food is that incredible, or the service is impeccable, no one would really go here for a romantic dinner right? It’s basically you drive by and say«oh let’s go here for dinner because I’m in the mood for the onion bloom or French onion soup» Basically first and foremost, there is never parking in the lot, good luck with that, if you find something on the street grab it. There is always coming at the door with a iPad taking your name, while a bunch of miserable looking people wait, there is usually always a wait especially on the weekends. Good luck getting a smile for the teenagers running this place. They are too busy conversing with each other than to pay mind to anything else. Once seated, a teenage waiter will one by, sometimes being professional, sometimes thinking that cracking jokes & being cool is going to be a better representation of the business. The drinks are watered down, so don’t even bother. The food like I’ve said, it’s a chain place, I highly doubt there’s a «chef» in the back, this is just a fancier McDonald’s. The food is always brought out by a miserable server, most likely upset that they didn’t get the job description they wanted. Always order your steak down, so if you want medium, order medium rare, because as I’ve said this isn’t really a steak house. Basically it gets the job done, belly is full, you got through the wait, ordered some good apps, basically only got the steak because you are in outback, and you go home, saying to yourself why did you even go, but knowing that one day you will be back…

Went here because my date wanted to try the Endless Shrimp special. I was always iffy about Outback in general, but heck, why the hell not. As soon as we stepped in, it started going downhill. The greeter in the front didn’t greet at all, I had to approach HER and tell her it was a party of two. Who then told another hostess to sit us in a seriously uncomfortable table for two. I’m talking falling-off-your-seat-because-your-seat-was-so-small uncomfortable… I requested to be seated elsewhere and she went back to check with the front, and I never saw her again. Then I went to the front and got a new booth right away. Okay, off to a good start. Server took 10minutes to notice us, couldn’t even get drinks until 20minutes after sitting down. But enough of that, let’s get to the food. The date and I ordered pretty much the same thing, the 5oz sirloin and shrimp– I’ve always had horrible experiences with steaks at Outback. but I thought it deserved a second chance. We both ordered it med-rare, I received mine med-well, and hers was… I’m not even sure what the doneness level was.(see picture) It was a 5oz steak. TINY. How can you cook it so uneven? Do you leave half the steak dangling off the grill?! The server offered to take it back and put it on the grill for a couple seconds– but who knows what’s going to happen back there right? No thanks. My side of broccoli was OBVIOUSLY frozen and zapped in the microwave to hell. It tasted horrible and was rubbery, to the point that my fork didn’t penetrate it when I tried to stab it. Steak was underseasoned and overcooked, saw that coming though. Was at least hoping for better service, which was almost passing. Just because it’s Outback Steakhouse doesn’t really mean it’s a Steak house. If you want steak, go elsewhere.
