This is a family run restaurant with some of the freshest food I have ever eaten. They are very helpful and there was a steady flow of people of every different background coming in for lunch. I really felt I was invited for dinner and I was the guest of honor. Why no 5th star? because if you don’t advertise with Unilocal.they remove the 5th star! Good food, excellent prices and kind people. They make all the Nan right there! I’m going back!!!

Besides their garlic naan, I really wouldn’t recommend anything. I also think they don’t treat people that are of a different culture respectfully. Everything seems to be overpriced in my opinion.

Second time here but but the first time was years ago before hurricane Sandy and they’ve redone the entire restaurant. Now its very nice and clean inside, before it was kind of a dive joint for a quick bite. I tried about 6 different things plus a few desserts and everything was very good, ill definitely be back. The woman taking my to go order was extremely friendly and she even took the time to tell me what everything was even though i knew most of them. Price was very fair considering fresh homemade type food, spices and flavors were a burst of delicious currygasm : —) The made to order naan… was the bomb, few different types of naan and roti’s actually, check the pics and you might be able to zoom in on the menu and read the options. Clean, cheap, fresh and very friendly combined with a large selection of foods = happy foodie Check them out, i think their open 24hrs but im not sure, i forgot to ask but I’ve diven by at late hours and i remember them being open. Only thing that sucks is that parking can be a Bit$@h during the afternoon but then again its the same allover NY so its all good because its worth it.

Fabulous food, quite clean place and customer service was great! I would definitely come again here. The goat curry was a big HIT!

I went here with some friends for dinner. We decided to order chicken samosas, vegetable samosas, garlic knots, and chicken curry. The chicken samosas are large, juicy, and filling. I would definitely recommend this to people trying Indian food for the first time. The vegetable samosas are a bit too spicy. The staff gave us a big portion of chicken curry. My friends loved the dish, but I wasn’t a bit fan of it. The garlic knots definitely complimented the spicy food. My friends and I also ordered some desserts. Unfortunately, when I asked the staff what the dessert was called or what was inside one of the desserts, they were unable to tell me because they didn’t know themselves. One dessert we tried was a rice pudding type dessert. It was pretty good, but I wish they could have told me what was in the dish beforehand.

Goat curry, chicken keema naana, two kabobs, and vegetable rice, $ 15 for everything — a meal for two! I thought the cashier gave us the wrong price but I guess I’ve become accustomed to Manhattan prices heh. My dad liked it and he’s usually hard to impress! Go here for a cheap quick flavorful meal. Plenty of tables and chairs, bathroom was clean. They have complimentary salad and a pitcher of water for the table.

Three stars for the friendly service. Not for the food. Two max. Twice I didn’t enjoy. I will look for alternatives in the area.

A frequent destination on my visits to NYC are the delicious hole in the wall restaurants in Coney Island. This restaurant in particular is a family favorite. A must is their delicious chicken kebabs-always mouthwatering and devoured within minutes. Besides indulging in a healthy dose of barbecued meat I would suggest trying the chaat Papdi and palak gosh happy eatings

Came here last week with my parents and my older sister. Customer service was satisfactory and so was the food. The place is clean and spacious and has Pakistani newspapers and Pakistani news on two TVs in true Pakistani restaurant fashion. I loved the chicken kebab, tandoori chicken, and naans. The kebabs and chicken were very flavorful with just the right amount of spice. While the naans were very fluffy, buttery, and light. We also had the channa ki daal gosht and biryani which I didn’t like very much. I also didn’t like their battered fish at all. Overall, my experience here was satisfactory, but if I was ever in the area again, I would definitely stop by for their tandoori selections.

Before deciding on Pak Nashamen my family & I had stepped into a different Pakistani restaurant. Thankfully we were able to convince my hungry dad to do the 5 minute walk over to Nashamen otherwise we would’ve been stuck w/stale pakistani food over dirty tables. When we walked into Nashamen, all of us breathed a sigh of relief, looking at the food you knew right away that it was fresh & it smelled great. The tables were clean, the staff here is friendly & accommodating. Pros Naan — the naan here is so fluffy Chicken Seekh Kebabs — tender & spicy Tandoori Chicken Leg — tender & juicy Halva Puri — this hit the spot for my dad. He’s been craving it for a while now Meh Battered Fish — my dad loved this but my sister, mom & myself were really not into it. I’ve honestly never had fish at a pakistani/indian restaurant that’s prepared well. Bhiryani & Alloo Gosht — it felt like these had a little too much garam masala in it. If I lived closer to coney island I’d definitely come back

New to the area and exploring restaurants with my husband until our kitchen stuff arrives. We moved from Europe and were used to the european indian food. Here we had vegetarian samosa, chicken and beef. Everything quite spicy and oily for my taste, but my husband liked it. «A little bit» spicy here means«very» spicy. The naan was quite oily. Here I tried for the first time the«ladoo» — indian sweet I knew from the movie«English Vinglish» and liked it. So if you like very spicy food, this is the right restaurant.

So I came across this small place at Coney Island. It’s clean and prices is superb. Naan bread is very nice. I had chicken kebab and samosa. Taste was good. A touch spicy. Overall a nice place to grab good on the go!

The roti and naan was fresh and delicious(both types of breads). I had chicken tikka leg, kabobs, and a skewer. The leg was my favorite. Ask for yogurt sauce it works really well to counter balance the spices. Missing 5 stars bc of the interior décor. Food taste and cleanliness was awesome

I mostly get takeout from the revolving offerings on display in the hot case and I haven’t been disappointed yet. The food tends toward oily but it’s tasty with a level of spice appropriate for the dish. Oh, and their baklava is great!

What a nice change of pace out here. Can’t say I know Pakistani food but this place definitely compares favorably with Indian fast food in the city. I normally get the chicken curry but I’ve also tried chicken keema(ground). Both are very tasty, spicy but not off-puttingly so. The naan is light and chewy if not as charred on the outside as I’d like. Food here is served hot, something not to be taken for granted(unfortunately). Portions are enough for lunch(for ~$ 9 with soda) though not as heaping as I’ve seen elsewhere. I believe it’s just been renovated and hope that means it’s here to stay.

Late and need food… I get 3 chicken kebabs on a roti with LT, carrots and cucumbers and raita sauce. It’s like an pak-indo gyro! Well for the other food… It’s ok, the channa is a lil oily and the biryani is not as fluffy as I would like. Overall get an ok. Décor is lacking, but thing is you’re not coming here for the looks it’s food 24hrs.

The worst Indian food I’ve ever had. I’m staying in Brooklyn for a while and this is the only Indian place around me. I ate chicken tickka masala in so many places and the one I got from here was the worst ever. The sweet and tasty souse I’m used to was a disgusting, oily, very very spicy souse. I love chicken tickka masala but the meal I got today from this place was the worst thing I’ve ever ate… The only good thing they had was the rasmali.

My friend and I were in the mood for Indian, did a Unilocal search and found this was the nearest place. It seemed to be primarily a walk in and order to go place. There is seating but I’d describe it as «no frills» in terms of traditional restaurants with seating/service but the food made up for that. I ordered the chicken curry and it was amazingly tasty, with bone-in chicken to give it more flavor(unlike other places I’ve been to that used only white meat chicken). The spice level, the rice and even the garlic naan were all just perfect — really can’t imagine it could have been better. As previous reviewers said, the service is friendly and the place was clean. I noticed a lot of desserts in the display case but the chicken and rice portions had been so big we didn’t have room. Next time we’ll definitely try those.

I was in the neighborhood and, despite my overwhelming craving for tacos(El Rey across the street) I decided to try out a new Paki restaurant. I’ve got a few by my place, but I am by no means an expert. I’m mostly going to compare the places I’ve been to. The place is cleaner, and the lady running it is very friendly(they all are, but this consistency is good). The prices are a bit higher, but your wallet will not by any means feel it. I had a potato samosa($ 1) and some ground chicken dish. The meat was superb, but the sauce it was in was amazing. They also gave me some sauce on the side(minty?) which was amazing. The samosa was the best I’ve had. I should have gotten their bread, it looked really good. Will probably be back when I’m in the neighborhood. Solid place.
