Food was pretty poor, particularly in comparison to Bay Ridge’s other really good Turkish spots, e.g., Hazar Kabab. Our waiter, while probably not intending to be rude, lacked the social etiquette required to be a server. Service was pretty slow and there were hardly any other parties eating. I’d highly recommend you look elsewhere in Bay Ridge if you’re considering Turkish.

I like to give it a 4 star but the service and food were inconsistent. I went on a weeknight for dinner, we were one of 2 – 3 tables for the night, I ordered a lamb kebab combo, the lamb was grilled perfectly, salads were fresh and I barely touch the rice cos it was a big plate, gf ordered kofte kebab which was the ground lamb, I have to say I like mine better, just did not like the texture of ground lamb although the marinate was just as delicious. service was friendly and our water were filled entire time. We went back again on a sat early dinner w party of 5, service was terribly slow, we had to literally wave multiple times for either a waiter and a bus person for ordering, napkins, water and desserts. It was a long wait for the food, appertizers and entrees all came at the same time. I still like the shish kebab, stuff cabbage was abit blant, bakalavah was overtly sweet and tasted like it’s been made for a week, It was just not a pleasant expereince the second time.

This place was awesome! I went more than a week ago and unfortunately all I can recall was thinking that the calamari had some sort of crack in it b/c it made me want to lick the plate. It’s not my neighborhood. I’ll probably never be back… but I will dream about that calamari forever. I will give you an imaginary million dollars if you can tell me what’s in it.

Our favorite spot for Turkish food. I love their fried liver, probably the best I have tasted so far. Service is always great and you never feel rushed or not taken care of. I go there at least once a month.

A bit disappointed with the amount of prejudice my family witnessed. obviously I am asian and my wife is Jewish. once the server found out that she jewish it went all down hill. At the end of the meal when we were presented with the check they said as a matter of factly, «oh the credit card machine isn’t working, hasn’t been working for the last 3 hours» who on earth runs a business and doesn’t tell their customer the credit card machine isn’t working BEFORE they order food. our bill was around $ 75 for 3 adults and 2 children which was pretty decent. but the whole experience soured what was a rather enjoyable night. my wife also felt uncomfortable with the way the staff treated her so We will not be returning. Food: the food was good, portions were moderate/large and fresh. Service was good up until they noticed she was Jewish. I know lots of Turkish/middle eastern places and I have tried many, while I would possibly give this location another try It really depends on how comfortable my wife would feel going back. **** UPDATE **** after the posting of this review the owner reached out to me, she was apologetic and asked that I contact her. I made my wife call her to explain how she felt and what she encountered. I like closure and to confront things that bother you. Now that we have squared away all the concerns I have full faith in returning to this family owned and operated establishment. Thank you for providing the hospitality and taking the time to respond to my concerns. We will be back for sure!

Typical Turkish spot with good food, nice service, okay pricing. Went for my buddies bday yesterday. Extra star for fact that I asked for butter for my bread and they brought out a huge square to satisfy an army. LOL Anyway, nice corner property with good decoration. You know the place is good when a random asian couple walked in to eat there(and no, I’m not ignorant, my first assumption was that they might have been Kyrgyz or Kazahk, but they werent.)

Highly recommend. I had lunch here on Saturday and the food, the atmosphere and the service were great. I had the lamb adana kebab, my boyfriend had a chicken kebab, both were delicious and were very large portions. The hummus appetizer was also very good, although it did not come with anything to eat the hummus with. We still had some bread(which was also delicious) left over from what was brought to the table so we ate the hummus with that. We also really liked the fruit juices that they serve. I would definitely return. Also, they have a nice table in the corner that would be great for groups.

Nice Turkish restaurant. Price are okay and the staff is friendly. Food is classic Turkish. If you live in Bay Ridge, that is a good place to eat dinner.

The food was very average, lacked the strong spices I’m used to with middle eastern cuisine There are so many other great Turkish and Middle eastern places in Bay Ridge that give bigger portions. Tanoreen all the way…

I wanted to love this place since it’s only few blocks away from home. At first I was excited to try eskandar, and the lentil soup since it’s my favorite turkish dish. Unfortunately it was not up to my standards. Pretty much flavorless and dull. There are better turkish spots on 5th.

My go-to Turkish restaurant use to be Sahara on Coney Island Avenue, but after eating at Pashazade last night, that has all changed. This place was nice and bright and big. Food was delicious. The shepherd salad was finely chopped(which I enjoy), the hummus was incredibly fresh, and the eggplant salad was to die for. The bread was super fresh and warm, straight from the oven. I also got a chicken kebab which was savory and juicy. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this meal and will 100% be back with friends!

this place serves fresh delicious food and they do so with a smile. dish after dish came out of their kitchen and onto my table. my taste buds were in heaven. Aside from just being full my stomach was also very happy which told me the food was fresh. If you’re thinking about this place, stop thinking and go because you will be happy you did. I tried the sour cherry juice and loved it, well I loved everything really. enjoy!

I had the Turkish dumplings and my husband had the chef special shish kabob. His was wonderful, with flavorful meat and sides of fresh veggies. Mine was tasty, but there was no variation and the dumplings could have been a lot more enjoyable if they were accompanied with a salad or side dish. They became sort of dull about halfway through the plate, unfortunately.

Always excited about a new Turkish restaurant! Food was delicious & service was very attentive & friendly! I’ll gladly be back! Portions are a generous size. It’s BYOB, they accept Amex & this place is great for takeout as well!

Came here last Sunday for dinner, and I was very impressed. I hadn’t eaten Mediterranean in years(and I hadn’t eaten lunch) so when I came here, I went HAM. The food here is obviously fresh made and the service was exquisite. The two guys who served us were great, and even the regular customers are nice(We spent the evening talking to a lovely lady who lives around there). My favorite dishes(and there were a lot, so I’m narrowing it down as much as possible): Appetizers — Kibbeh was AMAZING. I LOVE Kibbeh but the original version is 100 times better than the Hispanic version. The Feta cheese Pide was delicious also. Entrée — I had the Mixed Grill cuz I’m gluttonous like that, and everything was great but the chicken kebab was life. I didn’t have any dessert because I already ate more than a normal human being should ever eat, but I did try the Turkish coffee and it was a nice kick to the mouth, definitely woke me up out of my food com. Overall, I’ll be back there next week to for another binge fest of shame. My mind’s telling me no, but my body is telling me yes.

First time here! I still consider myself a newbie with Mediterranean food… but…what I liked… 1. Babaganousch(sp?). A must try. 2. Hummus. Also very good. 3. The dessert baklava and the other round small pizza looking dish that’s in my pictures is very good! 4. The lamb is also good. I didn’t try the seafood but from what I saw, the presentation of it made it look good. Lol. We had Turkish coffee as well… But I think they don’t brew it but used an «instant coffee machine»(I’m not sure) but it was still good and I did drink it. Food is good… The prices are reasonable… Service is warm and hospitable… I would come back again… !
