Don’t go here! They don’t care for your dog. Our dog was so scared when we got him back. Something went wrong, wish I knew what goes on in the back area. Be ware!

Do not board your dog here, or shop here for that matter. Used to go in to purchase things and my dog would gladly go with me. We decided to board her there one weekend and she seemed traumatized when we picked her up. She will no longer go in this store and my dog loves everyone and everything! I’ve also heard dogs Unilocaling in fear/​stress too many times when I’ve been in there, and the staff always seems like they don’t even like animals.

Been taking our dog here most days of the week for daycare and he’s always happy to go, at times don’t want to leave! Judy and her staff are great! They’re decent members of society — not criminals nor murderers. I’ve never used grooming but it’s not fair to call these people murderers. They don’t set out and kill dogs. Neither it is fair to try shut down the whole place because of one incident. I can imagine how fragile a 5 lb dog is, to be frankly honest dogs shouldn’t be bred to be that small. Read about tea cup dogs and health risks involved. I’m not excusing bad care, but we don’t even know what exactly happened. Accidents happen. There might’ve been a predisposition. There might’ve been negligence of one, I don’t know. But murderers these people are not.

My dog loved Paws in Paradise and so did I. We went there regularly for daycare for years. My dog can be a lot to handle sometimes — he’s got a lot of energy and anxiety. Everyone at Paws in Paradise always welcomed him with open arms. They were also very accommodating with my weekly schedule. I appreciated how they stayed on top of the dogs’ vaccination records, and made sure that everyone was up to date with their shots. Very important for the dogs. I mostly scheduled daycare with pickups and drop-​offs included, but whenever I walked my dog over myself, he’d make a bee line for their front door as soon as we turned the corner. It’s such a great feeling to know that your dog is having a blast and that he’s in great hands while you’re off at work. I speak in past tense now only because we recently moved to California. We highly recommend!

I liked the service here. My friend took her dog here and I liked how they left his fur. I decided to take my puppy there, and I was happy with the results. They trimmed the paws really well. I would recommend Carlos, he did a really good job.

Walked in to get a nail trim on a whim. Guy at the counter said the lady in the back couldn’t do it because she was pregnant. As I was walking out, another woman walked in and said she wanted to get her dogs nails cut and that she would be in and out. The guy said «sure no problem.» Not sure why I was discriminated against but won’t ever be returning to this place again.

I brought my shih tzu puppy, Zoey here for her first cut! She loved it! It was very quick and seamless and Zoey looked great! I actually just took her back for her 2^nd cut (a little shorter for Summer) and had to have Jill again, (she’s amazing and Zoey defiantly favors her!) :-) I definitely feel comfortable taking my puppy here and am going to look into boarding when I go away! Friendly staff and great prices!

I brought in my pom, Noah, today for a few hours in daycare. Noah absolutely loved it here. All the workers here are really nice and they all seem to really like what they do. There’s always several of them watching the dogs and it never seems understaffed. The staff here took well care of my pup and made sure he kept himself out of trouble since he has a humping problem. Definitely bringing him back in the future and for gromming.

This was our first time bringing our little Pnut here for grooming. She loved Carlos and looked great. We will definitely be bringing our other dogs here.

Took our Zozo to this place yesterday and he came back a dapper dog, what an AMAZING job they did with him, not only did his coat feel and look like mink, but he was a chirpy little fella and didn’t want to leave after all the attention they were giving him! Also stopped by to pick up a few staples and was pleasantly impressed with the large selection of toys and snacks available in this shop and not to mention the reasonable prices of everything from the grooming to the alligator chews! Definitely will be back soon!

After reading reviews on Unilocal and visiting the shop, I decided to try a new groomer after traveling to Long Island to the same groomer for eight years. The price at Paws was the same as my Long Island groomer. I was pleased by this, cause I thought I was getting a good price from Long Island groomer. Firstly, I would like to say that when you enter the shop there is a peaceful, calm energy. The grooming rooms are towards the back of the shop. No Unilocaling or barking dogs to heard. The staff at the desk were pleasant and professional. I met Jill who would be Chloe’s groomer. I decided to face my fears and try a new groomer closer to home. The day of my appointment I was pleased with how patient and kind Jill is — she listened to me carefully as I explained what I wanted and shared Chloe’s extensive seasonal and food allergy history with her. She recommended a specific shampoo treatment for Chloe. She was very warm and sweet towards Chloe, She did a beautiful job and even asked me if everything was fine when I examined Chloe when I picked her up. I will definitely be back. Chloe looked beautiful and was very calm when I picked her up. They also have a nice selection of clothing for dogs –better than many places! Thanks Jill! I would have given more stars but it was first visit — But We will be back!

This was my first time bringing my pup here and I think we found our forever groomer! We went to a place back in April and they did a horrible job so I had to allow time to let his hair grow out and as it got hotter out, I knew it was time to find a new groomer. I noticed my neighbor’s dog had a very cute shave and I asked her where she took her dog and she highly recommended Paws in Paradise! So glad I took her recommendation! They were so nice and friendly in there! And they were very patient! (I am going away next week so I decided to get my manicure and pedicure done while he got groomed but it took longer than expected and the folks at Paws in Paradise were understanding. Thank goodness I was only a block away! I was a little nervous as I am never late for anything!)
Let’s get to the actual grooming! When he came around the corner, he looked so cute! I was very pleased! They did exactly what I asked for! A nice low summer cut. Trim the face down and even out his ear length (the first place again, did a horrible job!) I was so happy with the final look! The groomer also provided feedback on how my dog behaved and what parts scared him a little. I appreciated that a lot as it is good information to have especially since you aren’t with them when they get groomed.
I also think they have a good selection of food, treats, clothes, bones, toys, etc. Most of your doggie needs can be met here! I love to shop for my pup and I am also an impulsive buyer so I bought a few items and the guy at the counter offered to hold my shopping bag for me till I returned for my pup! It was a small gesture but I really appreciated it!
All in all, we had an amazing experience and we’ll be back!

I’ve tried several Groomers and the are all GREAT! Carlos has been the regular groomer and he always has her looking adorable. They all have their own little style so when ever I go and pick up Maya, its like getting a new look. The service is good and the employees are always welcoming.

This review is for both dog walking and for daycare. We LOVE Paws in Paradise! We had to change dog walking services after a pretty terrible experience with another small company, on very short notice. A friend recommended Paws in Paradise, so we set up an interview. Judy, the owner & Anthony who does the walks, came to our apartment (in Sunset Park) that evening, met our dog, explained how they work, and we were able to show them around the apartment to get familiar.
What I love: a) Paws In Paradise is organized, b) The same person walks our dog every day (other than sick or vacation days, then there is one alternate) c) They take security/​possession of our keys seriously and are careful about letting strangers into our building d) Our dog LOVES Anthony e) Our dog is walked either on her own or with one other dog, but not in a big group. This is great for her.
Basically we completely trust Anthony and also the systems that Paws has in place in case Anthony isn’t able to walk our dog. Paws has been totally reliable and we appreciate that so much, particularly after the bad experience we had with a different service.
Daycare: We bring our dog to daycare approx 4 days /​month. She LOVES it. It’s smaller than the other place that we’d bring her, she LOVES going there, and has so much fun playing. She doesn’t get overly wound up from being there all day, and she never comes home smelling like disinfectant or with weird rashes on her skin, which used to happen at a different daycare service.
Grooming: We’ve only gotten our dog’s nails cut, and they have done a very good job cutting and filing her nails.
Overall: Great experience, a well-​run business, and very reliable. Thank you Judy, Anthony, David and the whole Paws in Paradise crew!

Paws in Paradise, is definitely a paradise for my dogs. My boyfriend called earlier in the day yesterday for a grooming session, and they were able to squeeze a 4:00pm appointment for my dog, Envee. Walking into the store, it seemed a bit small, but as you go deeper into the store, you can see that theres actually so much more that meets the eyes. They do grooming, boarding/​pet care, and also have a variety pet supplies.
Okay, moving on to doggy spa day! I don’t know who groomed my dog, but whoever the groomer is. you are amazing! My Envee came here looking like a homeless dog, and came out looking so polished with a pink bow on her head! Super adorable, smelling fresh and feeling soft! I am extremely satisfied with the grooming and will definitely be back to have the groom my bigger dog, Lady.

Paws in Paradise did a great job grooming my yorkie, Harvey. They were able to squeeze Harvey in for a last minute appointment with Carlos, and he did a great job. I will definitely be bringing Harvey back!

I started taking my dog Dutchess to paws in Paradise since she was about six months and I’m happy with the results. Carlos is her groomer and he works wonders on her.

Einstein loves the staff here at Paws in Paradise. He is so excited to see them every morning he comes in. I know he is in good hands at daycare and they walk him home for me midday which gets him exercise and saves me the trip of having to pick him up on my way home.
