This is a nice neighborhood place, the owner hires from the area and helps out the community. Its clean and the service is good and they value your business as well as your thoughts. On every bill there are 2 questions rating the food and service. The portions are big the food is always fresh and really good. Nothing bad I can say about D Amore

The Unilocal prices are completely different than the pizzeria. When I spoke to the person who was taking my order she just kept reiterating that the price for a della nonna pizza with fresh mozzarella was $ 22 instead of $ 13.95 which is posted on Unilocal under the menu section. Once I received the pizza it was just mediocre. Not what I expected.

Hosted a party for 36 here and had a great experience. The back room was lovely, servers were awesome, and food was delicious. Would definitely return for another party. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five was because as we were leaving the owner(I am assuming) was screaming at a delivery guy in front of the entire restaurant. That was uncomfortable and off-putting for me.

Ok so by now you know I’m an Italian food fan. Have been here before with a friend and remembered how much we liked it Happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to return. See from other Unilocalers that parking can be a problem but I lucked out and found a spot right in front, a very good omen! Ordered chicken franchisee with sautéed broccoli and it was delicious. The portions were big as described in other reviews. Place is visually appealing as well. Tonight it wasn’t busy and the staff came over at least 4 times to see if I needed anything, which I like! I had forgotten that it was a byob place and have to remember to bring a bottle of my favorite red wine next time, which will be soon! One more thing, the gelato was delicious like something we get in Italy! Bravo D’Amore!

Our family went here yesterday we were a large party. It was mid day, place was quiet and they set our table in front of window full of the sun either in our face or on our backs. They have not invested in blinds ! A simple fix. One server for 14 people. Food was just ok. I wanted to move but the family didn’t want to make a fuss. I was the last one in from out of town or I would have requested to be reseated! I would not go back.

Pizza D-Amore is my new Italian place. The place up the block from me(don’t know if I can mention it by name) has gone down hill in a major way: Fried Shrimp that is mainly breading with the tiniest butterflied shrimp underneath and if you order it later in the evening you can just tell it was fried in oil that has been sitting around all day. Disgusting. The other Pizza /Italian place near me that I actually do enjoy has gotten totally out of hand with their pricing AND they charge a $ 2 delivery fee. That might have been acceptable when the price of gas was through the roof but now it is ridiculous. Pizza D’Amore has FRESH, delicious food and it is reasonably(not cheap) priced and I wanted to thank them BUT I also wanted to go back to the topic of delivery: I was absolutely APPALLED by the review where the Unilocaler complained she got an attitude for not tipping the delivery person! She said in her review that the delivery min. was $ 10 yet she ordered $ 19.60 worth of food! When you don’t have the money to tip the delivery person you LEAVE something out of your order so you can tip them. My Goodness — they WORKONTIPS. That is their salary. So I guess the next time your boss is feeling sick and hungry he can go without paying you and you’ll understand. RIDICULOUS. So glad a family friend turned us on to Pizza D’Amore.

Food is great service has always been good down home feel casual attire, wait staff friendly and attentive. We have had several pvt parties and have always been satisfied. The Byo wine is great over all a fine place with that family feeling that is missing from so many places

I ate here the other day and throughly enjoyed the food. What’s missing is a few things to make it feel like a real restaurant rather than an extension of the pizza place. First, a liquor license would be nice. For me personally, I don’t care. Second, just because I order a beverage doesn’t mean I don’t want water. Third, there’s no salt and pepper nor is there any bread on the table. Who eats a salad or pasta without bread? When a pasta dish is ordered, no one asked if I wanted black pepper or grated cheese on my pasta. The décor is lovely but a few tweaks would make this place great.

Don’t know how the food tastes because I waited 2 hours and never got the food. Ordered on GrubHub and called after it said the delivery should be there. I was told it was on the way. I called back an hour later and was told that there was no order and that the girl was training. If she was training then why was nobody watching her??? That was bull. No dinner for my sick girlfriend and I. Too late. Thank you liars.

I’ve ordered from here a couple of times. Honestly the food is just okay. Penne a la vodka is a bit runny. The pizza is alright nothing special. The calamari is alright too. Nothing screams amazing here.

We sat in the dinning area and I love how the pizza area and the dinning area is close to each other ! The food is really fresh and made with love ! The menu is good and is affordable ! It was my first time here and I would definitely come back !

Normal pizza eatery. Bit pricey I’d think but it’s fine. I like that every time I order they already have my address saved. Creepy. Not a bad place!

Food wasn’t bad. Reasonable prices. Staff was friendly but forgetful. They’re young so maybe they’re gaining experience. Saw on here that someone’s guest felt sick after. I felt nauseous the night of eating there too but I just had leftovers so I took a risk to see if it was them. Might just be because all I had that day was cereal and pizza. Maybe it’s a sanitary issue or quality of food. I’ll update if I feel sick again lol.

Best In The Neighborhood I give this 5 starts, not because it’s michelin or zagat top of the line, but because it’s the best in the area at what it does. A restaurant should be judged on what it’s trying to achieve, and Pizza D’amore nails it. I’ve become a regular… order delivery on a regular basis, and my go-to neighborhood restaurant when I want a good meal but don’t want to travel far. Delivery is fast and accurate. Good portions and well executed. Favorite appetizers are the eggplant rollatini, fried raviolis and crab cakes. Entrees are the Pasta D’Amore(excellent) good ala vodka and alfredo. Best restaurant lasagna I’ve had in a long time. The décor is classic but upscale and pristine. very clean, and the service is friendly, fast, and accomodating. You wont be disappointed.

Pretty awesome! My boyfriend and I always order delivery from this place and it has never disappointed :) We usually get the mini margherita pizza(that’s shaped in a heart which is so cute). the thin crust and thick cheese makes for a perfect pizza. And we get a chicken Caesar salad which is also great. Delivery times are always faster than expected, can’t complain. Definitely wanna dine in one day too. My finger slipped, meant to make it 5 lol!

I’ve been a regular at Pizza D’Amore about 4 years, since they started. They used to say there were getting an alcohol license but never did, so they continue to be BYOB, yay! Compared with shiny new restaurants around that are trying so hard to be so trendy, Pizza D’Amore’s classic décor is sophisticated and is kept pristine. That smaller room separated from the main area by French doors is a great space for gatherings. My family and friends still love the consistently good food, especially the salads. We are never disappointed in anything. As another Unilocaler said, this part of Brooklyn is full of «experts» on Italian food and we’re hard to impress. The staff still tends to be young, and some of them might be a little forgetful, but all of them are polite and helpful and they don’t get your order wrong. We occasionally get takeout. The rolls are extra-large compared with other pizzerias, and sauce comes with it and doesn’t cost extra. One thing that’s changed is the restaurant recently gave up the adjacent parking lot. So when it’s busy parking nearby can be hard to find, and that’s annoying. Something else has changed: I went vegan, so I usually order the pasta primavera – garlicky delicious! It’s made with a good variety of veggies(mushrooms, zucchini, spinach, etc) all cooked crisp-tender and never mushy. I get mine over perfect, slightly al-dente angel hair.

Nice fresh Italian food. They have to come correct as this area is full of «experts» They are always super friendly. Go before the Cunningham kids take over or after school time. Delivery is normally good. Arrives fresh. It is takeout so don’t go if you want Italian family style cuisine.

I order through grubhub, so I apologize for my inability to review the physical setting and service inside of the restaurant. I just recently discovered this restaurant, and I used to order italian food elsewhere, however this is my new go-to restaurant for my Italian cravings. They have good quality food ingredients and it definitely reflects in the taste of their menu. I’m sad that there seems to be no more Penne Vodka on the menu which is my favorite Italian pasta dish, I do hope they bring it back, I would love to taste it, and it seemed to have gotten good reviews prior. Below is the receipt for my order via grubhub, so that you can see how much it cost me, along with tax. It’s fairly pricey when you think about it, I only ordered 3 menu items and it totaled to approximately 20 bucks. However their portions are quite large and in my opinion matches their pricing. 16 Mozzarella Sticks $ 5.25 1 Baked Ziti $ 9.75 1 Pinwheels $ 3.00 Subtotal $ 18.00 Tax $ 1.60 TOTAL $ 19.60 The reasons why I deducted 2 stars from my review are 1) because I’ve never been to the restaurant itself so I cannot thoroughly rate and review the restaurant in full, and 2) their delivery boys could be more polite. I’m currently under the weather and ordered food today and only had enough to cover the food payment itself and he was visibly annoyed at the lack of tip and walked off without another word. I understand how it feels not to get a tip, but if a customer doesn’t have any spare change or money, I think you should be understanding and maintain a polite demeanor. Aside from that, I definitely recommend ordering from here, there’s a 10 dollar delivery minimum which is reasonable. It’s definitely worth a try, one of the better Italian Restaurants in the neighborhood!
