One of my favorite places to eat. The food is amazing and so are the drinks. The service is great and the manager is great. He brought us a round. The place is usually crowded so get there early and reserve a table but you can have have a few drinks at the bar. The food was fresh and so tasty. The plates are pretty big so come hungry. The food, drinks, and service are worth the money you will be paying. Tell them Kris Nelson sent you.

Wow! Holy Thursday was a disaster! This restaurant is so loud. The food is so lack luster. Are these people even Italian? Are table shook every so often from a train running underneath. So you can only image what’s crawling up into this place. The owner is arguing with women at the bar as we were leaving. He looked Like Frank Perdue& Phyllis Filler had a kid together! Lol all 4 feet of him. We would never go back to this dump! In fact we heard this guy was gonna open in N.J. haven’t those poor Jersey people been through enough with that Jersey shore show? To bring such lowlife behavior to NJ would be further devastating. We already have wonderful restaurants such as The Molly Pitcher, Osteria, etc… I would have given zero stars but it wasn’t an option. Save your time& money!!!

Simply put, this place is an authentic Italian restaurant with great service, quality food and a great atmosphere. Definitely one of the better Italian places in this particular area of Brooklyn. If you came here on the weekend and had a bad experience, I’m not sure I can relate since I was here on a Tuesday night but I know you should give this place another shot based on what I experienced! Try the Vidello Spedini or Burrata!

Very disappointing. I made reservations for 6 for my bday. Got there on time, Our table wasn’t ready waited 40 mins and no one called us. We ended up going somewhere else. Also the valet left my friends window down with the key inside the car. Anyone could of took the car. Careless employees and owner!!!

I’ll start with the good: great atmosphere, very inviting and comfortable. The service is very accommodating, we asked to switch to a different table once seated and they moved us without a problem. They offer great wine options and have reasonable prices. The mediocre: the food is okay. We ordered the octopus and crab cakes for appetizer and both were just okay. The main course wasn’t bad but, I found the veal a bit too salty but edible. The bad: the bar area was way too crowded and extremely loud. Also, the restaurant gets extremely loud, we had a hard time hearing each other. Background music wouldn’t be a bad idea.

I’m not sure how to feel about this place, because overall I think we enjoyed ourselves, but the quality of the food does not match the high price tag. First of all, this place is insanely loud. I don’t even understand how it’s possible for a place to be this loud without bumping music. We could barely hear the waiter over the yelling. I ordered the Linguine Nero and my husband ordered the gnocchi with tomato and mozzarella. Now, squid ink is a very delicate flavor profile that, in my understanding of the dish, stands on its own. I knew this dish was served with calamari and sausage, but what I was not expecting was my squid ink pasta to be completely doused in tomato sauce on top of the ink. I felt like I was witnessing an unforgivable sin against the Italian kitchen. The tomato sauce was completely unnecessary. It was also incredibly oily. The pasta texture was fine, I could tell it was fresh. But for the life of me I don’t understand why they took a high-end, simple dish and murdered it with tomato sauce. My husband’s gnocchi was completely over-sauced with what tasted like canned Ragu. WHAT. His little gnocchi were swimming in this gross metallic, unseasoned sauce. I have no idea how they thought that was a restaurant quality dish. Why not gorgonzola sauce, or a pesto to coat the gnocchi? The whole thought behind that dish was bizarre. The tiramisu and crème brulée were delicious, however. We enjoyed our evening overall, but for nearly $ 30 for the plate I was really looking forward to an authentic squid ink pasta. And the MINIMUM requirement for an Italian restaurant, I think, is to not serve canned tomato sauce. We may be back for cocktails, because the décor is really beautiful, but I doubt we’ll eat a meal here again.

I love coming to Ponte Vecchio, it’s for sure one of the top 5 Italian restaurants in Bayridge. It’s such a nice romantic modern atmosphere. A group of 5 of us came on a Sunday night with an 8pm reservation. We sat by the bar and waited for everyone else to get there, and had a cocktail. Once everyone was there we were seated at a table in the back room. Our server came right over to see if we needed any refills on our drinks and we ordered some apps. For appetizer we split the spedini and an order of penne vodka. The spedini was amazing, I’ve had it from another Italian restaurant in Bayridge before, but it was definitely better at Ponte Vecchio, the pasta was also delicious and cooked perfectly. We did want to order the stuffed artichoke, but they didn’t have anymore so that was disappointing. As an entrée I got the chicken Marsala with no mushrooms, I know that’s what Marsala is but I hate mushrooms, so no mushrooms for me ever lol. The entrée came with a side of mashed and a small rice ball, it was great. All of my friends really enjoyed their meals as well. The service and food was excellent, I can’t wait to go back again.

Mob Wives meets Housewives of NJ I’ve been going here for over 30 years now and the food has always been terrific; however, the scene has changed over the past few years, middle aged singles rather than families it seems. So my husband and I decided go a couple of weeks ago and it took me a while to notice(there were plenty of Mob Wife lookalikes), Caren from the show was there and a little while later, Reno from Housewives walks in(it is his restaurant). The place never disappoints, it’s dinner and a show. In fact, one time I went a patron was beating up the bartender and she also swatted a vase and water flew all over my husband’s jacket. The restaurant bought us a drink. We weren’t upset though, it was very entertaining. Last time we went(about 2 weeks ago) we had one of the most delicious appetizers I have ever put in my mouth, bacon wrapped fig stuffed with gorganzolla cheese. My husband had the Chilian sea bass, which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had my usual penne filleto dipomadoro. The bread was amazing as usual. The wine was terrific. The service was terrific. My only complaint would be the noise level. But with everything going on, who needs to speak? I was soaking it all in. I wish I could work there — I’d be entertained all day.

The food there was pretty good but my issue was the service. I was there last night and our waiter took forever to take our order. He seemed too preoccupied with mingling with whom I believed to be either his friends at an adjacent table or they were his regular customers. It took about 2 and a half hours for us to finish dinner because it took him so long to wait on us, and the times that he did come over(which we pretty much had to wave him over) he looked annoyed as if we were interrupting his conversation. I will most likely not be coming back to this place. Service is everything to me when it comes to dining out, and last night it was non-existent.

It’s a steep mountain to climb to get a good review/have a positive experience when your visit begins with a 6pm reservation and you’re not seated until 7:15pm… I’d note that the staff were not the least bit apologetic– no visit to our party saying«sorry for the wait;» no complimentary cocktail– just time to wait… During that time my wife and I noticed the dirty conditions in front of the restaurant– no one cleaning the cigarette butts that were EVERYWHERE, and she noted that the ladies room trash was overflowing. This was Easter Sunday and by the time we were seated, no surprise there was no more lamb to be served. When the waiter put the bread down, he knocked me in the head– HARD– he HAD to feel it– but he didn’t pause for a moment to apologize. The food was satisfactory, but not worth all this hassle.

In a nutshell… the food is quite good. Our experience with service wasn’t. First, the food. Our group was celebrating a graduation in the family. Everything really was delicious. The stuffed zucchini flowers were a standout among the appetizers. Everyone seemed happy with the variety of apps… but I found the coating on the fried mozzarella triangles to be a bit heavy. It took away from the fresh cheese. The entrees were all a hit. Several people enjoyed their chicken parm, and one of us had a steak dish which she enjoyed. I had the stuffed veal chop, which was wonderful. It was tender and the sauce was great. The sides — one potato croquette and some broccoli rape were pedestrian. The service really took a star away from the experience. I know it’s a local place, and perhaps the folks next to us were regulars — but it was hard to get our waiters attention as he stood feet away chatting to the group. Need a 2nd glass of wine? Prepare to wait. I asked for a glass of water as everyone else enjoyed dessert — and was brought a pitcher of water 20 minutes later — with no glass! It’s a nice room. Be prepared for a quirky valet experience as parking in the area is brutal. Also be prepared to shell out a little more that Ponte Vecchio delivers on.

Came here on a Thursday night and wow was the food disappointing. We started with the fried calamari and mussels. The fried calamari was so chewy I gave up after a few bites. The mussels were fishy and also chewy. My main course was a pasta dish which was average. My boyfriend ordered the risotto which he liked. Service was strange. The waiter kept trying to be funny to the point it was almost annoying. We probably could have had a better meal at Olive Garden for half the price.

The most amazing food I’ve had in a very… VERY long time. Tonight, I had the Manzo di Porto all a Rob Sabbagh. It’s the fillet mignon that’s topped with portobello mushrooms and smothered with Port wine sauce and it was absolutely AMAZING! It literally melted in my mouth. They also had the Seafood Risotto special that I just couldn’t resist so I had to order it and that too, was to die for. My girlfriend had the gnocchi sorrentina which tasted just wonderfully. Sided with some Pinot Noir, it was definitely one of the best dinners I’ve had. Although it as slightly on the expensive side, I still feel like it was well worth it and I cannot wait to go back to try everything else on the menu. Also wanted to add the waiter that was helping us for the evening was Moe. Very friendly, very funny, made us feel like family. Like we were at home.
