Horrible experience with them!!! Ordered a samsung led tv from their website during the black friday weekend. Upon checking out, the total price for the tv plus shipping was reasonable. After waiting for an email confirmation, finally chatted with their customer service via their website, and they were of no help! Then I sent an email to their customer service to confirm I was going to receive an email confirmation. Not until 7pm(while having dinner) did customer service call me. To make matters worse, this customer service rep tried to upsell me other products that I told him I didn’t need. After about 5 minutes of telling him I only wanted the tv, he tells me that there is going to be an insurance fee added to my purchase! I tried to explain to him that the insurance fee should have been listed on the website during the checkout process. Ended up canceling my order and going to Best Buy and got the same tv for LESS! Their customer service is a JOKE and I would not recommend them to my friends!

Long story short… DONOTBUYANYTHINGFROMTHESEGUYS! I bought a projector from this place just over a year ago(Feb 2009). Just(April 2010) started having problems with it(just after their warrantee ran out). So I called Panasonic(the manufacturer) to see if the manufacturer’s warranty still applied, but it was 1 year as well. The guy from Panasonic asked for the serial number and ran it. Turns out the projector was built in 2008, sent back to them, refurbished, then sold to us as «new» in 2009. So basically when PowersellerNYC sold us the projector, the manufacterer’s warranty was expired. I noticed most of the equipment they sell has a spot in the description for«condition» but it is left blank. I searched for«refurbished» and found several pieces of equipment that are listed as such in the title«i.e. Panasonic AE1000UREFURBISHED» and the condition is listed as «refurbished.» So I’d figure it’s safe to assume anything where the condition is not«refurbished» is new? Nope. I called the sales dept to see if they could check the condition of my order from a year ago and one guy claimed he could but I’d need to call back the next day. Called next day and the guy I was talking to claimed he was the owner and that there is no way to look that up. So I asked how I’m supposed to know if something is refurbished when they sell it to me if they don’t explicitly say so… he said«you should have taken it out of the box and run the serial # with panasonic then sent it back if there was a problem» to which I responded«so it’s MY responsibility to buy a projector from you thinking it’s new, run the serial number to check if it’s what you sold me, as opposed to YOU running the serial number before selling it to me and telling me it’s refurbished» The response I got was not very nice.

This place is a cover for their online store. Their brick and mortar store doesn’t actually exist! Their online store had a nice price on the TV I wanted. I figured they’re in NYC so I’ll pick it up at their store. I called them to make sure they have it in stock at the store. When I asked about the price of the tv he asked me what search engine did I find it on, red flag number one. Didn’t cross my mind to actually ask where they are located since I figured the address would be on their website. The address listed on Unilocal(Ave T) has nothing there, I’ve been to that corner a billion times. Google map it and see for yourself. I hate buying electronics at small NYC stores(they ef you over 11 times out of 10), but the price was a good $ 500 less than at B&H Photo for example. So I went to their website to get the address… nothing. Odd omission considering the fact that they have a «15,000 sq feet showroom.» I call em up. It went like this. «Where are you guys located?» «Who’s asking?» … nice… «Uhm… I wanted to pick up a tv at your store, so I need the address.» «What TV?» «I called about the TV before I just need the addressac.» «One minute.» … scrambles about to find the address… «Brooklyn, ny» «Uhu.» …silence… “Nostrand ave, between X and W” «Bye,» So there you have it. Nostrand Ave, Between Ave X and Ave W Brooklyn, NY … Except there is another electronics store there(no its not 15k sq ft), they photoshopped it for the pictures on their site… Somehow they managed to sell a lot of shit online. Beats me.
