Everytime I want to grab a sandwich here, they seemed to have just turned off the grill. It’s 330pm on Saturday. Seriously? Wtf? Most everything else is alright besides the perms-mean face workers.

They make good juices but the asian woman(the cashier) seems always angry.

**Rip off Artists** This is the second time they tried to charge me higher prices than the marked price. Watch out for the Asian Female clerk, she’s a sneaky rat and will look you right in the face and charge you more than the item costs. I lived in Fort Greene for 12 years and I don’t appreciate my neighborhood grocery store ripping me off. Please don’t give this business your money or at least keep an eye out on the marked prices here so you don’t get ripped off too! Don’t be fooled by the friendly smile!

I love coming to this place. Like other reviewers said, the owner is so nice and always remembers you. They have you covered for when you don’t have time to go to the grocery store, decent beer, and they have kimchi! 4⁄5 stars — great taste, fair price, msg free, only reason I don’t go here every time to buy my kimchi is because I’m not always in or near Fort Greene.

The owner of this grocer/deli, Bruce Lee(yup), is probably one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Every time I walk in he greets me with a giant smile and a «Hi my friend, how are you?» He’s not faking; he really is that nice. My girlfriend asked him if they had any Korean shrimp chips; they didn’t, but he had ordered some for her by the next time we visited, and the time after that, made sure to ask if she enjoyed them. This little place isn’t as fancypants as nearby Fresh Garden and Greene Grape Provisions – but on the other hand, it’s generally cheaper, primarily due to much less of a focus(if any) on organic goods, i.e., you won’t find yourself paying $ 5 for a simple can of soup here. I generally think of it as the top of the non-upscale grocers/bodegas in the neighborhood, of which there are many, in terms of selection of goods, cleanliness, and of course friendliness. Granted, I tend to buy my more exotic produce items elsewhere, but for bananas/oranges, dairy, packaged foods, drinks, etc., I like to give my business to Bruce. He’s one of the few store owners in the area that makes me feel he truly appreciates my business.
