I know this place as «Spinning Window.» It’s not recommended that you go here alone after a certain hour, which is inevitably after all the other bodegas close and you need cigarettes to keep you holed up in a hole in the wall until it’s close to 6 a.m. and time to go fishing at Valentino.
I recommend getting orders from lots of people. It’s the courteous thing to do. And when you buy your 6 packs of cigarettes at 4 a.m., the dude will give you two crappy lighters absolutely for free (at least if you are a drunk white girl with dimples).
Oh. And don’t tell anyone that you are going there by yourself if you are a girl, because they will yell at you and tell you that it’s not safe to walk there alone. Probably because it isn’t. But, dammit, you’re wasted and an adult and perfectly free to make your own decisions.

The Dark Window is where you can get a fine cheeseburger and a pack of Newports at 4am. The one you want is called the «Big A-​Z Burger» and be sure to say exactly that because otherwise they’ll give you the smaller cheeseburger (name unknown) which is kind of cool because it is only $ 2 but isn’t as satisfying. Things to note: This deli will look closed because all the lights will be off and sometimes you have to yell into the bullet proof revolving door for someone to come (they’re often asleep). The other thing is that after midnight this place has the potential to get dangerous, like shootings up the block dangerous, but it is rare and I don’t think anyone would pop a shot off at you. So if you’re not into that sort of thing, I understand but if you want to take an adventure and get a finger licking burger this is the spot.
