If I could give no stars I would. you sent me a soggy wet crêpe with a drop of nutella and a soggy ass quiche. Gross.

So if I lived in the area, this is a place I would stop by on my way to work – probably way too often, or a place that I would go for a quick breakfast. It’s quick, there is variety, and its so affordable. That being said, what this place does lack is atmosphere. Seriously. Nothing about this place says«welcome» when you walk in. Its not a place that I would want to sit and enjoy dessert or a meal alone or with company for that matter. If atmosphere is important to you, skip this place. I see all of the pretty desserts and pastries in the case, and they just look totally out of place due to the effortless physical surroundings. The person behind the counter – um, she tool my order, and that was about it. I actually did end up staying to eat the turkey and egg croissant, which was only $ 5 and pretty good, but definitely didnt linger. I’d come here for a quick breakfast on the way somewhere if it was on the way, but I would not go out of my way to come here. Cant really recommend based on my experience.

Very mixed bag from this place. I live around the corner and come here regularly to buy their baguette, which is delicious. I haven’t tried a wide variety of their foods, sticking to the bread, but food wise I’d give them 5⁄5. The interior needs some rehabbing stat. It is downright depressing in there. Very drab. Ambience wise, 2⁄5 The service is not great. I’ve gotten some poor treatment from who I assume is the owner. A previous Unilocal reviewer wrote of a potentially racially biased experience and I had a similar time. Funny thing is these guys are black, but that’s not necessarily surprising. If I ever catch the owner behind the counter, he ignores me and shouts to the counter girl to come take my order. I gave him the benefit of the doubt at first, thinking that maybe he doesn’t handle that stuff. Lo and behold, I’ve seen him serve non blacks on several occasions and then mysteriously not bother when I need service. Very bad vibe from that. Customer service: 2⁄5(counter girl is fine, as is who may be the co-owner.)

Came in for a simple croissant and coffee. There is zero ambiance in this place but the baked goods are buttery, the coffee is good, the service is friendly, and the prices are great. A solid place.

It’s kind of a sad bakery. Perhaps I wouldn’t feel this way if I had lower expectations, but the 4.5 stars from Unilocal had me expecting a metaphysical transportation to Paris. We had breakfast here. For $ 5, the Turkey & Egg Croissant sandwich is a good deal. I had the more expensive Croque Madame, which was okay, but they left it on the griddle too long because a quarter of it was burnt. Just because the burn is on the bottom doesn’t mean I don’t notice. I also got the almost croissant because I was hoping the pastries would save it. The croissant was soggy and not fresh tasting. It tasted like it came from a box from Costco. The interior of the bakery has seen better days. The photos on the website are either from a long time ago, or they got a really good and creative photographer.

It was a cute place in a not so cute area haha but the food was good/pretty I should’ve gotten the plain waffles instead of the sweet waffles

This is a cute little coffee shop and bakery on Nostrand Ave. The coffee tastes great and is nice and hot. The actual place isn’t too fancy but they had some really nice looking pastries and other baked goods and it all smelled amazing! There is a good amount of seating and the staff is super friendly and the service is quick! I only gave it 4 stars because I haven’t tried any of the baked goods, but once I do I will update!

The food is uniformly excellent and the service, in the café, is friendly and efficient. The reason I’m withholding two stars is because their delivery is horrendous. The egg sandwiches are fantastic. The chocolate almond croissants are heavenly. The hot chocolate is really, really good. I stop by in the mornings on the way to work to get a little something and practice my French. It’s charming. If you order delivery, though, prepare for an exasperating experience – especially if you order online. They will run out of items, but not tell you when taking your order that they’re out of the item sometimes they’ll call back, but sometimes they’ll just show up without it. I’ve ordered a half dozen times, figuring that maybe I’ve just had bad luck, but 5 out of 6 times, my order was messed up. I guess I should get off my butt and just walk over there…

Really friendly staff. Clean. I stopped in for a coffee and it was fresh and made right. I’ll stop in for brunch at some point!

Fantastic. A steal for the quality of the baked goods. I’d have gone five stars but I think the drink prices are a high for just mediocre drinks. I had the raspberry almond croissant(get it heated) and later a french toast and a madeline. I took more items to go but if I’d had more time and a comfortable chair, I’d have stayed longer. And my to go goodies were good 2 – 3 days later. Definitely worth the trip.
OMG! This place deserves 10 out of 5 stars. The fellas working here are a bunch of courtious french guys and they are serving some of the most delicious food I have eaten on my entire NY vacation. For goodness sakes, even their coffee is awesome! I had an almond raspberry croissant that was to die for and then ordered the shepherd’s pie. The pie wasn’t sliced from a larger pie in the back, it was individually crafted. And it was oh so good. My wife got the Waffle Royale-3 waffle pieces with poached eggs, turkey, spinach, and hollandaise sauce. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted even better. If you find yourself within 20 miles of this place, make the journey and you wont regret it. If you consider yourself a foodie, this is a cant miss spot.

My croissants this morning were fresh and flaky, just the way I like them! So the dining room is nothing to write home about, just some tables and chairs arranged semi haphazardly across the room, and there’s hardly what I’d call table service, but it does the job. On my first visit, I had a Croque Monsieur – it was made a little differently than I know(copious amounts of some kind of soft cheese on the inside, but it was still good. It came with a generous heap of dry greens. Today, I just grabbed a couple croissants to go. In and out in less than 5 minutes. The guys who work here are genuinely friendly. It’s very reasonably priced and convenient for those on their way to the LIRR stop just around the corner or the Fulton A/C.

Really just wanted the croissant(the raspberry almond was pretty bland and had no crisp/crunch), but also sprung for an awful, tiny butter pecan and a bad chocolate chip(asked for oatmeal raisin, to add insult to injury). Not sure if people are charmed by the unexpected language barrier or this strip is just this desperate for this kinda place, but a huge miss.

Dear lord… Scrum.diddly.UMPTIOUS! The vegetarian omelette was literally the greatest thing in the history of the universe. It was perfect. Perrrrfect. The cheese to egg ratio… The veggies were diced and cooked to perfection and the eggs weren’t overdone. My co-eaters enjoyed the waffles royal and supreme and were overwhelmed with taste budular joy. Ice coffee(no sugar) outta this world. Let’s get down to the atmosphere – chic AF. Beautiful bread displayed in the window looking in from the street and mouth watering pastries in the display case to boot. The staff have an impressive blend of friendliness and professionalism that I can’t quite understand why it stick out so much – because it deff does. There’s awesome art on the walls and generally tasteful color schemes. Also the music is bomb biggity. Bottom line: this place is INCROYABLE: atmosphere, price, service and FOOD. Totally a no-brainer guys.

A nice little bakery spot to grab a quick breakfast. I was expecting a more restaurant like establishment. But for the price of the food it was good. You place your order at the front and they bring your food. Everything is self service. The food was good.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed the food at this location. We believe profoundly in cooperative economics. Upon our first visit I made a point to introduce myself to the co-owner and leave a generous tip for our server. We looked forward to our next opportunity to dine at this venue. Today was to be such an opportunity. We were very hungry and prepared to spend approximately $ 40 on brunch. However as my girlfriend approached the counter the co-owner did not acknowledge her presence and instead with a huge welcoming smile in his voice asked the Caucasian couple behind her if they were dining in. The experience was troubling on many levels however I will not use this platform to address them here. My girlfriend and I returned the menus and promptly left. Minutes later I returned to the establishment to address the situation with who I believe to be the co-owner however he was no longer at the register. Regrettably we will not be returning to this establishment. My hope is that the psychology of restauranteurs expands to put it kindly.

Amazing pastries and the food is expertly prepared. I would like to give this place five stars but, let’s just say customer service is not their expertise. Don’t let that deter you though, honestly. It’s almost comical. We bought a 25 $ certificate and upon entering, met Albert the chef and his partner standing at the counter. When I asked him if he would honor the certificate, he said«sure, sure» then gave me a very blank stare as if he did not know what I was talking about, but that«ok… no pwoblem» in his very thick French accent. The restaurant was empty, but still took about 5 min or so for him to come to our table. Once he did, he walked up to us and said«ok…what do you want?» Even though we never received menus. My husband and daughter and I just kinda laughed and once he realized his mistake and laughed along with us. We started off with the raspberry and almond croissants and a coffee and hot chocolate and let me tell you, so so customers service aside… all was forgiven! The croissants are light, flaky, not to sweet and the fillings are fresh. I ordered the smoked Turkey panini, my husband ordered the waffle royal with Turkey bacon, and my daughter ordered the chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious and fresh and Albert is an amazing chef. This place is a hidden gem and so reasonably priced, it will definitely become one of our frequented brunch spots. If you have a good sense of humor and can tolerate the lessay faire attitude of the French, go… you will not be disappointed!

We tried Omelett and coffee. All is very delicious. The pastries are from the freezer I guess. But they can be delicious too. The interior looks like the rest of the nearby neighborhood. a little bit shabby. But that seems normal. You should go there anyway. Sehr leckere Omelettes.

Nice french style bistro on the border of crown heights and bedford stuyvesant. The cook must be French because this place has very tasty food. Staff has a friendly Brooklyn feeling. Price for value is very good here. The Almond croissant was so good, it reminded me of a spanish corvata pastry you typically find in Asturias/Cantabria. Waffles Royal is a great Brooklyn take on eggs benny. The turkey panini with dijon mustard takes a lottle longer but well worth it. I’d come hete often if I lived here. Well worth a stop if you’re staying in the area.

The kind of bakery that I would like to have located right on my block. The french owners are super friendly. Delicious lattes and cappuccinos. Their almond croissant is ridiculously good. Flaky and buttery. Also tried their cheese danish, also well made. For brunch I ordered the Waffle Royal(poached eggs with spinach and ham on a waffle). It came in a very generous portion but I though the waffle was little too thick, the bechamel sauce was a little too rich. My husband had the bacon and egg on a croissant which came out really good. Reasonable prices. Free wifi. Overall, we enjoyed their goods and can’t wait to come back
