They upgraded the store and it looks more clean now. When I go shopping the lines are not that long like they used to be. Better now.

This place has been remodeled in the absolutely most confusing way. If that’s not bad enough, there is alway a very long line that does take forever. If it wasn’t the closest pharmacy l, I would never come to this location.

Now that they completely redid the store, it is much better. However, you can still expect to spend a lot of time on the line. At least now you’re waiting in better surroundings.

I lost my patience with this pharmacy. I really had no choice but to use this riteaid location since its only 3 blocks from my house, but at this point the bad outweighs the good. Each time I come in here the pharmacy has the isles and items rearranged which confuses me, even though it looks fancier and there is more space, the order in which the items are placed per isle just aren’t logical. I also question if some of the food stocked there like noddles and soups are still up to date, I’ve seen some items expired before. It’s also annoying how most of the deals run out by mid day, so for people like me who work full time and shop at night this isn’t fair. The staff here makes it obvious that they hate their job, I can hardly find a manager here and the cashiers always fool around, this is unacceptable when there is a big ass line during rush hour when everyone is trying to get home .On top of that I never see more then two cashiers open at a time when you have about 25 people in line, that’s not enough staff. Also the latest problem is that their machines don’t take debit cards so you better have a credit card or cash handy, what kind of crap like that doesn’t get fixed for a month ?. If you want to find a good thing about this pharmacy, I’d say the hours are, 24⁄7 is very convenient for those late nights out.

Huge variety, big store. It gets busy towards 11 am and it usually stays really busy till 10 pm. I know because Im a manager in this store. A lot of good sales, if we don’t have the items you can get rain checks. Come shop at Rite Aid…

Let me preface this by saying, I hate Rite Aid. No, I don’t harbor some personal vendetta against the chain that I passive-aggressively express via a Unilocal review. This is as objective as they come. The Rite Aid chain(at least in New York) is simply horrendous. I can’t express how pharmacy-dependent I am. I’m always sick, preventing an imminent cold or just in need of something that pharmacy’s tend to carry. So, I can safely say I’ve been to many branches, of every huge pharmacy chain(Rite Aid, CVS, Duane Reade, etc). Now — on to the business at hand. This Rite Aid branch(like many of its sister branches) is a pitiful mess. It is horribly understaffed, unorganized, and almost consistently a pigsty. I’ve never once come here without waiting at least 15 – 20 minutes on line. The lines are long, the cashiers are few, and the rest of the staff just lingers. I’ve seen employees standing behind the counter, singing or rapping, and refusing to open up another cash register. I came in one time looking to get a passport photo taken. There was ONE cashier attending to a parade of customers. And that’s it — nobody else. I walked around the entire store, in and out of every aisle, looking for somebody — anybody — to assist me. Nope. The products I’m usually looking for are out of stock or out of place. CLEANUP!

Enormous Rite Aid. Came here for some Zzquil. Cause I gotta get my zzz’s. I don’t know why this place is so lowly rated, but perhaps people have trouble with the pharmacy. I was in and out in less than a few minutes, and the people who worked here were friendly. No complaints.

there’s always a line here. that’s a serious issue if you are in a hurry. at times it takes 20 minutes to go from getting on line to leaving the store. when i walk in and i see more than 3 – 4 people on line, i walk right out. store is clean and well-organized staff can be nice or rude. one guy helped me out a lot by finding a juice drink. another girl was snub-nosed(but WOW she had a really nice ass… i’d take quick peeks when she wasn’t looking haha — aren’t all pretty girls stuck up though?). and vice versa. it just depends but you will get that from any mcjob worker. they are after all making their corporations/bosses richer with no incentive to work harder or better as pay stays the same so i don’t blame ‘em. they hate their dead end jobs. i just hope they don’t serve me that nastitude(combination of nasty and attitude heh) when i interact with ‘em. sales are sometimes really good and sometimes just OK. it certainly beats buying from a bodega or corner candy store. that’s where you really get ripped off. most important — this store NEVERCLOSES. it is 24 hours day and night. even on thanksgiving and xmas. the pharmacy has separate timings. Unilocal needs to fix that info.

Ok. So… How can a rite aid be bad? Well… It’s not the selection. It’s not the cleanliness. It’s not even the people per se. The problem has seemingly existed for years. It’s slow. Like molasses. Or snails. Or snails stuck in molasses. If there are two people on line when you come in, by the time you grab two things there will be seven. I can’t quite pinpoint it. There is never enough cashiers. Or they’re just not good. Or it’s something in management. I don’t know, but it’s not good.

If you have time to kill then this Rite Aid is for you! I shop here weekly and only because of sale items. You must prepare for at least a 20 minute check out line, 30 minutes for the pharmacy.

It’s a Rite Aid, like any other. But don’t ever come here when you’re in a rush because the lines here are just ridiculous. There’s never more than 1 or two people manning the cashiers, when they obviously need a few more.

It’s fine for a pharmacies, except THEWAIT! Just like the review below me, if you you after 12ish, the line is way-too-long! Often ten people deep! Head over to the other Rite-Aid on Ave U or the much better Walgreens on Kings & coney. Or for that matter any other big named pharmacy on Kings !
