This is the best NY style pizza in Greenpoint, hands down. So very good! Delivery comes in a reasonable amount of time as well, is hot and fresh, and both the guy who takes orders and delivery guy are polite and friendly. I love this place!

So pleasantly surprised by Russ Pizza! We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza for delivery for 2 people, and not only was it not crazy expensive like so many places have unjustifiably become, but it was DELICIOUS. We planned to eat one slice each and save the rest, but that obviously didn’t happen. We had two slices left over, ate them for breakfast the next day. Also ordered a hero for lunch the next day, and instead of guessing what my online order meant, I got a call from the restaurant to confirm they got what I wanted right. THUMBSUPFORSERVICE. Honestly, there are lots of pizza places in NYC and it’s hard to know which are good and which are an embarrassment to society. Russ is so damn good it’s not even fair. I almost don’t want them to start making all those Buzzfeed/Thrillist/Eater lists so I can devour all that pizza myself… but I want them to be successful because it’s so well-deserved. The cognitive dissonance is real.

I Have tried many pizza places since moving to Greenpoint and I have to say that Russ is the best, most authentic NY Pizzeria around here. They are spot on with the taste and also unlike other pizza places around here they actually have very reasonable prices.

The thing is, the pizza was pretty good. Really thin crust, good sauce. But 1. they only had plain slices when I came in, which struck me as odd, and 2. the guy behind the counter blatantly and creepily came on to me. I sat way in the back and scarfed down my slice cause I wanted to get out of there. Its a shame, that was my first experience there.

I LOVE this pizza place for delivery. It always arrives hot & fresh out of the oven, which has been a bit of a challenge in Greenpoint. We always get the grandma and it is a huge pizza, again very fresh, and one of the better pizzas I’ve had delivered in the area. Nothing fancy, just plain and simple good pizza.

$ 3 plain pizza(increased by $ 0.50 from a week ago) and all the cheese slips off because the dough wasn’t cooked fully. Never again. Find another pizzeria in the neighborhood.

I just learned that the owners changed and that they’re skimping on portions, which, explains my frustration. The issue was that it wasn’t just one thing. Here are the frustrations(if only for me to vent): 1. The chicken parmesan plate was half the size it normally is * I’ve ordered this dish at least 50 times, as I’ve lived right near Russ’s for about 5 years. 2. The Chicken parmesan didn’t have any sauce. 3. I asked for a salad instead of ziti or spaghetti and they said that is a completely separate dish, and therefore, an additional and separate price. They then agreed to give me the deal and include it with the chicken parm itself. well, they charged me $ 12 instead of the normal price of $ 11. ok, whatever. 4. I asked for caesar dressing on the side of my salad. They gave me ranch. So I called, got annoyed, probably yelled a bit too much after explaining myself calmly and being dismissed, and it ended with me realizing after i hung up initially that the chicken parm didn’t even have sauce. I called back. The guy flipped out about me being upset, and said, «Il hook you up the next time you’re in, ok?!» I didn’t want to be hooked up, i just wanted a chicken parm dinner tonight, not some other time after being cursed off. I do like their pizza, but now it’s about not wanting to support people who at their core act like this.

I have been going to Russ since the 1970s because of the great pizza. Recently, they got a new partner and new pizza maker and I am very disappointed with the quality of the crust which is thinner, and less cheese on the pizza. Seems that they are trying to cut cost and subsequently quality. Bring back Federico who was at Russ for about 25 years and since he left quality is not the same. Also, the new partner just takes the money and runs… he doesn’t even greet his customers as Federico did. Thank God there is still another Spanish guy and Sal who have been there a long time and make one welcome. For old time sake I didn’t give a 3 score.

Careful if u ask for wings sal the owner might slap u lol just kidding but seriously he is old school Italian. So u can imagine but u gotta try meat ball hero is amazing or shrimp hero. Everything is pretty good.

I have been going here since I was a kid and I keep coming back. I love the eggplant pizza they have here. They also have really good chicken slices and chicken rolls. My top three go to items. Mozzarella sticks are homemade and worthy to try.

Yummy! We found our pizza place in Brooklyn! True NY style and pies are huge, just the way they SHOULD be. They have a great vodka sauce as well. Could work on their mozzarella sticks but they still taste great. Very impressed with delivery time as well! I’m happy to have discovered a go to pizza joint in Greenpoint!

Prime example of a traditional neighborhood pizza joint. Whether you order a sandwich or a slice, everything is made fresh. Service is spot on and everyone here makes anyone feel at home. This is a great go-to spot when I’m in a rush and need something delicious that hits the spot. Hands down, the must try are the chicken slices and the spinach and tomato pizza.

Probably the best pizza in Brooklyn. Even if it’s not, it’s certainly my favorite. The Sicilian ambiance in here is amazingly hilarious. As a South Philly transplant, this place really made me feel at home.

You call this sh*t pizza, do ya?! Ordered a large cheese pizza and what I got was a stale bread disk blindly plopped with«cheese». Sure, the delivery was swift, and their garlic knots were decent, but the PIZZA was one of the worst I’ve had from an establishment, and that is saying a lot.

Ok… first and foremost, I am not trying to knock anyones personal experience at Russ Pizza nor am I trying to discredit it… but some people need to chill the fuck out. Going on Unilocal and making comments about the staff or calling the delivery boys«crack addicts» or «homeless» is simply ridiculous. Born, raised, and still living in Greenpoint, I have been going to Russ forever and have never had a bad experience. NATIVE greenpointers love Russ & everybody at Russ. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion… calling people homeless, crack heads, etc is fucking ridiculous and you should be ashamed of yourself(asshole somewhere below… yea, you…“Charlie”). Bottom line– Support one of the only old school Greenpoint shops left because the pizza & food is good!

Always a great stop for a quick tasty slice on the go. Never a long wait at Russ’ and they keep the line moving pretty fast throughout the day. Not the best I’ve ever had but a solid pizza place in Williamsburg where I haven’t really found too many others in the area. I never stray away from their counter slices as I’m usually in a rush, so I can’t tell you about their sandwiches, salads, etc. The slices are always solid though and the slices with fresh tomato slices are my favorite because it tastes like the tomatoes are seasoned with an Italian marinade before they go on the pizza. Always a place I can rely on when I’m up in the area.
