Rustik tavern is a cool neighborhood spot whether you’re having weekend brunch or just hanging out at the bar for happy hour. There’s a nice and spacious patio with sun umbrellas for the warmer degree days. They have a decent brunch menu with an «unlimited brunch» option; they do a good job of keeping your glass full. I had the steak and eggs here several times. The steak was well marinated like they stated and it wasn’t chewy or tough. Reserve a table so you don’t have to wait during brunch hours. Other than that the place is normally empty when I walk by so I’m certain walk ins are welcome.

Rustik is my Sunday brunch go to place. They have unlimited mimosas, screwdrivers, bellinis or bloody Mary’s. Their food is affordable and its plentiful. They also have great dinner.

This is a great place to hang with your friends after work, have bunch, and even party on New Year’s Eve — endless champagne!!! It’s right in the mix of Brooklyn, looks very… well Rustik. I love it here. The food and drinks are awesome and the staff is wonderful. Try it out! You won’t regret it!

Um, I have been trying to think what jacked my stomach up from Sunday night and the only thing that I had was this salmon burger and now I am having«issues». The burger itself was delish and I got two more burgers for my parents which they enjoyed and had no issues so maybe there is something wrong with my body. But this is day three and I’m still suffering from«issues». I just made two trips to el bano and it was within ten minutes. I still have to go to work and don’t know how I am going go survive again. I have no appetite so I am hoping whatever is inside of me comes out eventually. I may have to stay away from this place since this was the only thing I had different on Sunday.

Sunday Brunch is so a thing now… Idk how that happened but it has. This particular Sunday myself and few friends were celebrating a friend’s birthday. Why not do it with a $ 30 boozy brunch. Yup, you read that correctly… $ 30 boozy brunch. That’s a great price but, was it worth it? We had 2:30 reservations… however since 1 of our party was 5 minutes late our table was given away. So there is no grace period. So we contemplated going somewhere else, but the hunger and fear of another place being just as packed kept us right there waiting. We were seated around 3ish… so now I just hope the food was worth it. We ordered and the food came out within 20mins or less. We had a house salad for the table that was one of the best salads I’ve ever had or I was just to hungry to think otherwise. 5 mins after the salad was destroyed entrees came out. I and a friend ordered the tres leches French toast… Amazing!!! No syrup needed but of course I added some. Steak and eggs, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits. Of course the swapping ensued with everyone tasting each other’s food. The steak and eggs were tasty, the season their egg… thank you! The chicken was surprisingly good enough for me to want to actually go back and get that next time around… yall know how I feel about good fried chicken. The one dud seemed to be the shrimp and grits. I didn’t taste it but my friend who go it only liked the shrimp. Maybe not enough seasoning in the grits. All and all it was worth the price and extra wait time. So I’m sure I’ll partake again.

This is one of my favorite neighborhood brunch spots. I love their shrimp & grits(minus the salsa) & they are very generous with their bottomless mimosas(attentive & constantly refilling)! I’ve been here several times over the past few years & love to take anyone visiting here. The ambiance is quite cozy & rustic as implied. I will certainly continue to support this local business!

Really great food. Highly recommend the salmon with mashed potato and the chicken and waffles. The calamari was on point. I just wish that there was a larger entrée list to choose from. Great environment. Can’t wait till summer essay outside.

Came here yesterday, Sunday, for brunch. It was a bit of a trek to get here so I was really hoping that it would be good. There was good and not so good about our visit. Got there about 12:30 the restaurant wasn’t crowded yet. The décor was very nice. Like the name suggests it was rustic. We were greeted and seated right away.(Good) Our waitress while very sweet was a bit of a… space cadet. I’m just going to assume that she was new. When she came back to your table to take our order she didn’t say anything she just stood there. Didn’t ask if we want to start with a drink or anything. So I just started talking. She wasn’t very familiar with the brunch drink special. She had to go ask someone when I asked her about it. My bf ordered steak and eggs. She didn’t ask how he wanted the eggs or the steak. After some moments of silence he had to fill in the blanks. Then she came back to the table 15 minutes later asking if we ordered.(Not so good) We choose to go for the $ 30 unlimited drink options(90 minutes) that included an entrée. Drinks included mimosa, Bellini, screwdrivers, and Bloody Mary. After a couple of signals the first few times to bring another round she was on it and made sure we were taken care of the rest of the time we were there(Good) We were told we have to stick to our first selection and couldn’t switch(Not so Good) Every other place I’ve been allows you to switch your drink as you go along. Not the biggest deal I guess. So before our food arrives and we are waiting there is a man at the bar that is clearly drunk and it’s just 12:30. He’s swaying at the bar and trying to sing to the bartender that is ignoring him. He is clearly familiar with the place and the staff and probably the owner because at one point he tries to go behind the bar. The bartender tries to block him quietly without a scene but is unable and he goes behind the bar and gets himself a glass. He tries to go into a closet they have back there. Bartender again tries to stop him but can’t. Then he goes to pour himself a beer from the tap. Once again she tries but is unsuccessful and he starts drinking behind the bar. As a customer seeing this made me very uncomfortable.(Bad) The saving grace from this scene was the food. It was very good! I got the chicken and waffles. Chicken was nice and crispy. Waffles had good flavor. My bf got steak and eggs which came with home fries. The home fries were good and so was the steak. Only thing is that the steak was a bit under. He asked for med well and it was more like med.(Good)

Bartender was busy but waitress just standing around the bar watching him and chatting with the customers. He clearly can use help but they could not be more disengaged. I ordered the tukey chili which was delicious. It was slightly spicy but with sour cream and chips for scooping it was the perfect meal. Another good oprion was the wilted caesar salad with chicken. They grilled the romaine which gave it a bit of smokiness — yummy! Definitely a spot for locals and nice to see a place to go to on this end of Dekalb Ave.

Rustik has been my go to brunch spot for a few years now! The food is amazing and service is phenomenal. For the warmer seasons I always try to make my way to the out door space… Great for small to large groups!!! And did I mention brunch is bottomless mimosas!!!(Yes!!! And they keep it flowing) They also have a space next door that my sister in law used to host my bridal party. The space was transformed into a cute day tea party! The food was yummy and the host Josie was amazing… my guest raved about her stellar service! Rustik is a great place for brunch to an intimate event in their space! #mygotospot

Every time I come here the food is always on point. The happy hour is great and the bartenders are super friendly. The only reason I can’t give Rustik 5 stars is because the service for brunch is sometimes subpar – the waitresses, although super nice are very slow with the service. Nice ambiance and the outdoor seating had gotten better, it’s a great neighborhood bar/restaurant!

This place is so comfy! We sat in the backyard for hours. I ordered a house vodka & cranberry which was delicious. My friend ordered a Caesar salad & bbq wings. The ‘salad’ was some romaine lettuce with cheese & pepper sprinkled on top with 4 squares of toasted bread. She was not impressed & sent it back. She loved the wings though. Our waitress Rachel was so awesome. She frequently checked up on us as we were the only 2 people in the backyard. She took really good care of us. I would go back in a heart beat. We had a really good time.

Second time here and the food was even better. The steak was juicy, eggs were yummy and potatoes were great. No waiting which was surprising for a Saturday afternoon around 2ish and it was not crowded either. My boyfriend loved it, he had the chicken and waffle. The only thing is we weren’t full. It felt like we needed 2 orders of our meals. Lol but good food nonetheless

I’ve been here several times, and it’s always a great time– drinks are creative and potent, service is friendly, DJ is great on weekend nights and I love the cute patio in the back. I’ve also planned a dinner that took place here, in the private room. As a professional event planner, my standards are high and sometimes dealing with small venues can be frustrating because of the lack of communication and usually a bartender or host filling in as an event planner. Not the case here. Planning was a breeze, and the event went off very smoothly! Great food(the ribs are so good!), service for the large group was courteous but didn’t intrude on our gathering, and afterwards, we joined the party outside in the bar area for those that wanted to stick around later. Frantz, the owner, was there both before and after the event to make sure everything was perfect. This is a great place to host a dinner for friends, or any small gathering! Highly recommended.

Came here for brunch with a couple of friends. Had chicken and waffles. Was highly underwhelmed. I just don’t understand why as appetizing as my chicken looked it had zero taste. Absolutely NO seasoning whatsoever. Won’t be coming back.

So after relentless hours of researching places in Brooklyn with a bottomless brunch like my grad school thesis I gave up. It’s damn near impossible. But alas the mimosa gods shines down upon thee and bestowed me with a friend who referred Rustik to me. So I decided to give it a shot after the decent reviews and menu options that included the necessities. The weirdest part was that this place is located next to the PJs… I know I know who cares but this is the first brunch place I’ve seen across the street from pjs lol. Food: So on to Rustik, the hostess was very pleasant and had a good sense of humor which appealed to my sarcasm. Kudos to you. The waiter dude was kool too. Here’s something(or 2:(/() you should know. I think the menu online hasn’t been updated or something. You get 1.5 hours of bottomless brunch drinks– not 2. Not a big deal but good to know. I’m sure no one likes to get David Blained when it comes to their bottomless time limit. The bottomless deal is 30 cash which includes an entrée of your choice. They have some good options– I came with two of my home girls whom had the shrimp and grits and the other had the steak and eggs with home fries. Me? I thought I was all trendy when I said«I’ll have the chicken and waffles.» My chicken and waffles were what has to go down in history as the most regular tasting chicken and waffles I have ever vacuumed at brunch. It’s seriously just okay… They should just call it «K». It was good just not great. My friend says the shrimp and grits were damn good and finally the steak and eggs were the winner. This serving of steak and grits is entirely epic. The plate was like bigger than my face and the portion looked like the cook got the bottomless option mixed up– good job! Drinks: The waiter did what I would call an «okay» job at keeping our glasses topped off. Could’ve been a bit better but I wasn’t disappointed. The mimosas however were seriously kind of watered down. I mean who do you think is coming to brunch Barney and friends? Spike that betch! Other than that this place is good with me. I’ll def be returning. Good to know: You don’t have to get bottomless option in case something’s wrong with your throat and don’t want to get drinks. They add an extra 5 cash to the steak option and after my review… Rightfully so.

Walking into Rustik for brunch on a Saturday,(as I find myself doing more and more often lately) is quite the experience. I really didn’t expect to find a place with such an awesome old-school feel, playing awesome music from the likes of the Beatles and the Beach Boys in our area. I especially didn’t expect to find such an awesome yard, and fantastic kitchen serving up great food and bottomless drinks so close to my apartment; this place is amazing, and with such great servers(the time limit seems to be quite flexible for boozy brunch…), it can get you into trouble — in a seriously fun way. Brunch is the best meal of the week, I think we can all agree on this fact; I am personally an avid bruncher, and nothing makes me as happy as getting to gather with some good friends enjoying a meal and drinks(preferably unlimited) with no stress or agenda. It can be a bit scary taking a risk or gamble with this most enjoyable of times, especially with a city that has so many amazing places to offer(God bless our city and all the wonderfully fun places we have to waste a perfectly good Sunday away). Let me rest any fears you may have about this place to rest; if you like a good, long brunch with copious amounts of booze and some seriously tasty food, Rustik is a place worth checking out. Walking in you’ll find a big wooden beer closet, with visible kegs(really antique looking, and really cool), a smallish bar in a large main room, and an epic yard in the back(only open when it’s warm). The staff has been very welcoming and warm every time we’ve been in telling us to sit where we like, which if you know me is like asking«bar or yard?». Either way you’re in good hands, both the servers and bartenders are nice, and almost as importantly, attentive(no one likes an empty brunch glass). They offer up a pretty standard brunch drink selection — mimosas, champagne, Bloody Marys, and(my personal favorite) bellinis. The food menu is a little on the limited side, but everything they serve tastes as good as it looks. The burger served on a large English muffin is particularly good(spring for the cheddar and bacon — you’re welcome future you), as are the chicken and waffles. If you don’t live off the G, this place can be a bit of a pain to get to, but with its amazing yard and laid back atmosphere, Rustik is a must try for any true NYC brunch enthusiast.

I really enjoyed my meal at Rustik Tavern. You enter and seat yourself whereever you would feel comfortable. The server came over right away and took our drink order. The restaurant has a bar and TVs and everyone seemed to be there for happy hour. We ordered our food and it didn’t take long to come. We had: –The Grand Butcherboy Burger which was done just right with a side of fries which were delicious. They tasted like they were handout and fresh. –The Roasted Beet and Kale salad(with onions) which had a light dressing that was just enough to coat the leaves! –The Butcherboy Sliders(mini Turkey Burgers) with fries were just right! –The Sanford Salmon(Blackened salmon) with mashed potatoes and braised kale! The salmon was well seasoned and cooked so good! We opted to have dessert which was another pleasant treat! The brownie tasted freshly made and was topped with fudge and ice cream. The peach cobbler was warm with a cake like topping and also served with ice cream! We were pleased with both desserts. The only negative thing was the draft in the restaurant. They have an outdoor space which people seemed to be using for smoking. When the door would open a gush of cold air would come in. Perhaps a curtain would help to keep the draft away. Overall a great visit and I will definitely be back!
