Safra is one of the few coffee shops in the area that makes you feel like you’re a part of the community. The barista is very kind and knowledgeable, and the selection of coffees and teas rivals the selection in larger, more popular coffee shops in the area. Prices are very reasonable, given the area, and the coffee is high quality. The pastries aren’t anything to write home about but that’s true of many coffee shops in the area. Overall, Safra is a neat little coffee joint with exceptional prices. If you’re not too hung up on grabbing a Stumptown coffee but still want a high quality coffee to power you through the morning, go to Safra.

What a gem. This place is your standard Mom and pop type of place that delivers a good cup of coffee and sweets in a superior way. It’s nothing exceptional in any way but it is warm and inviting and I would absolutely return. I think you should do so too. Unless your a Unilocal snob.

Small Coffee shop opened on the NW corner of Bergen street and Grand Avenue. They serve coffee and tea and a small selection of pastries. In the first few weeks they were bringing pastries in from Venieros but those were expensive and looks like they didn’t sell well so now the switched to lower quality«commercial» pastries. The lady that runs the place is friendly but it seems like they don’t really have a plan of what they’re going to sell and they’re currently playing it by ear.
