I’m so glad that I found Sage! One of my favorite cuisines is Thai. There are tons of Thai options out there, especially in the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area, but not all of them are quality. When I worked in Greenpoint, Erb Thai on Manhattan avenue was my favorite. When I stopped working there, I went on a desperate search for a new tasty Thai place. Being that I now work in Williamsburg, it was fairly easy to choose from the many Thai options that deliver to my job. I’ve only ever ordered delivery from Sage so I can’t comment on the dining in experience here. Although I’d love to give that a try because it looks really cute and the cocktail options look yummy and interesting! I found Sage on Seamless. They had a decent delivery time and $ 8 lunch specials so I thought I’d give them a try. They said delivery would take 35 – 40 minutes every time I’ve ordered from them but they always come before that. Friendly and speedy service is always a plus in my book. Especially when the food comes hot and delicious! The plum sauce that comes with the light and crunchy spring rolls is so incredibly delicious. I can just eat it by itself. The coconut rice is the best I’ve had. It’s not just sad white rice with some coconut flavoring. It comes in a sticky hunk of creamy, delicious coconut rice joy! The steamed vegetable dumplings are very unique with a filling of broccoli, sweet potato and taro. The sweet chili soy sauce is out of this world. The eight dollar lunch special is a great deal. You get a choice of entrée and one appetizer. The Pad See Ew is good. Not the best that I’ve had but the flavor was there. They don’t fill the container up but you get your moneys worth. i definitely will be ordering take out from Sage again and am looking forward to sit down and dine in here one day.

you haven’t had great Thai food, if you haven’t had Sage. We order in at least once a week and it’s always superb. Get the curry! Or get the Sage fried rice! I have never been to the restaurant but their food is fantastic.

Sage came highly recommended to us by a local and you can now add us to the list of those who highly enjoyed the experience. If you like spicy cocktails, try the Sage margarita. For appetizers, we tried the Thai meatballs which were delicious and had high hopes for the chocolate braised spare ribs. While the sauce blend was unique and fun, the rib meat was too tough. That was our only mild disappointment and shouldn’t deter you from visiting! For my entrée, I had the salmon and jumbo shrimp. Wow! Exciting combination of flavors. A party in your mouth. They have live music and the servers were very attentive. We will visit again when we’re in Brooklyn.

I love all the curry dishes here, and the spicy fried rice is another one of my favorites. The noodle dishes are a bit greasy for my taste, with the exception of the Pad Thai. The Tom Yum soup is also great for nursing a cold!

I recently moved from Queens into Brooklyn. I was so happy about the move, yet so sad to be leaving our local Thai spot behind. Finding Sage made everything better! Their menu is delicious! Delivery is ok, they’ve messed up our order on busy nights before… But, hey, it happens… Nothing major. Sage is also a really nice, atmospheric restaurant to visit. I’d recommend it for a date night, dinner with friends, or even for lunch. Try the massaman curry, curry noodle soup, or drunken noodles… and don’t forget their Thai iced tea. Overall great restaurant!

My friends and I happened to be in the neighborhood and wanted to grab something to eat so randomly picked this place. But we weren’t too hungry so we ordered one main dish, chicken curry, and three appetizers, calamari, shumai, and what’s called Crying Tiger, some seasoned spicy meat, and beers. What then came all kind of tasted the same; they were all too sweet and overly seasoned so much so that if not the textures, I wouldn’t know what I was eating. By the time we finished eating, I had finished my second Guinness, but because of the overwhelmingly unpleasant sweet and salty etc. aftertaste, I wanted to wash it down with something(no water had been served; actually none of the waiting staffs even asked whether we would have wanted water) so I asked if they had tea. They did so I asked, «Do you charge for the tea?» And the waitress said, «ABSOLUTELY!» I was like«…Absolutely???» So, I asked for some water. I looked around then and as far as I could tell, we were the only Asian customers. «No wonder!» we thought and left. The only decent thing about this place was that they had Guinness on tap for $ 6 and that’s about it! It was a big mistake picking this place to eat.

My favorite and most frequented dinner spot. The drunken noodles and green curry are amazing. The prices are awesome around $ 10 an entrée and $ 5 for a lagunitas ipa. Ambiance is great for everything/anything. Staff is super cute, attentive, & quick with the food. On certain evenings there’s live(mellow/good) jazz.

Jungle curry was just ok, despite glowing reviews from the staff. duck summer rolls were a nice mix of fresh but satisfying and the shrimp pork dumplings were also decent but kind of small portions. The rest of our table enjoyed their red curry and pad Thai but no one really raved. I’d maybe say 3.5, but I’d certainly give it another shot and see when I’m in the area. Prices for dishes are quite reasonable.

Delicious Thai food with a really trendy vibe. This might have been the best pad Thai I’ve had in the city. Sage creates a contemporary and swanky atmosphere, with dim lights and live performers. The space is huge with tons of seating for groups both inside and outside. Service here is very attentive and the prices are reasonable($ 9 for chicken pad Thai). This place is a great spot for a casual date or a night out with a group of friends.

Great selection of drinks, and the food is amazing, I got the pad tai with duck, it was pretty great, and i was with a party of 4 and the bill was just under 85 bucks, with two appetizers and two drinks, not bad at all I’ll say. And the vib their is pretty chill.

I come in a lot. And bring friends. And carry out. I love their food. I think the prices are fair, and that they have a great drink selection. The décor is also very nice. Some aspects of service are excellent too; the kitchen is very accommodating: I often order dishes with calamari and scallops, but not shrimp, and it is never a problem. My beef salad last night was outstanding… much spicier than I ordered, but delicious anyways. Sadly, I have had a lot of bad experiences with one of the servers, who is not the caliber of everything else about the restaurant, so I have to hold back a star. Can’t imagine I am the only person that feels this way, so hoping for an improvement.

So where do I start… Let me just say that my first experience with Sage have been great. So great that my first time trying their food, I came back for 3 days straight in week for my lunch break! Great food for the price, great drinks… until I had my food delivered for the first time… Food arrived an hour after ordering-not too bad considering even though my office is 7 minutes away walking. I ordered the Massaman Curry with Chicken, Edamame, and Chicken Curry Puffs(yes I pigged out that day). My food was quite tasty, no complaints. I didn’t finish it so I wrapped it up and decided I will finish when I get home. Get home, heat up my food, grubbing down and what do I notice… rat droppings… wait… I said to myself there is no way! What if it’s coriander, rosemary or seasoning! Trying to make every excuse but nope once I looked closely and smushed it, INDEED it was rat shit!!! Of course I immediately barfed and felt absolutely disgusted and disappointed. So as I sit here in the doctors office getting checked out because I have been having some serious stomach pains since my discovery, I advise you to please think twice about eating here. I should’ve known when I first Unilocaled this place and saw a pic of a roach and fly in the food. Smh but not rat droppings! Ugh I’m not sure what is going to happen but something does need to happen.

I was so grateful for the good weather that I had to sit outside, but the inside is beautiful. The padseeew was perfect as it should be in such a beautiful arrangement. Thai iced tea = a must.

Hmm… how do I feel about Sage. To be honest it was cool. Went in there on a Monday evening with a friend. It was definitely not crowded at all. Upon arriving I was greeted by two ladies very pleasant. into the dimly lit restaurant. Seating was really tight. I felt the tables were too close together… I had to squeeze pass to sit and my big ol booty definitely slapped the other table lol.(side note… honestly even a pancake booty would’ve slapped the other table) too little space. But! Outside had big picnic like tables, we probably should’ve went outside but it was chilly. The waitress was honestly my biggest issue she was too impatient and rushed us a lot. She didn’t make us feel welcomed at all. I don’t even know if she introduced herself. Anywhoo the food! I ordered pineapple fried rice with chicken. It honestly came in less than 10 minutes. I would say 4 to 7 minutes. Did they have it waiting and microwaved it IDK lol. But it was good. I enjoyed the pineapples and cashew and the sweet chilli sauce I added to it gave it extra ummmph. But all in all I would definitely go back again wasn’t bad at all.

Food: 5 Service: 5 Cleanliness: 4.75 Atmosphere: sleek, contemporary, inviting I can’t get that Salmon and Jumbo Shrimp Plate off my mind. That broth-like sauce had me licking the plate, my mom split it with me and she agreed. For a party of four with monstrous appetites, we could have not picked a better spot. We ordered Summer Rolls & Green Papaya Salad for starters and were served immediately! Incredible! Like I mentioned, we indulged in the Salmon & Jumbo Shrimp, or least it felt like an indulgence because it was so decadent and addictive. The fish had a decent sized(I would guess 5−7oz) Salmon fillet cooked«medium» which created a soft and supple texture along side two jumbo shrimps and an array of mushrooms including chanterelles(my personal favorites). This dish along side some coconut rice took me to a magical place… all inside my mouth. The waitstaff was so sweet, clear, and quick. They were also very prompt about removing plates as soon as they were done. A+ for service. Would I return? Ohhhh yes!

I really enjoyed my dinner here. I came with a friend that had been to Sage before. He didn’t wanna come out of the house, but I forced him since I was dressed already. The atmosphere is rally calm and chill. When we got there it was pretty empty so our food came out quick. My guy friend got some beer, which I don’t remember because beer is not my thing. After I made my mind up I got the Sage Margarita… She said it was sweet, but I’ll beg to differ. But it was good and momma don’t waste alcohol! Appetizers were just vegetable rolls and they were nice and full. For entrees, I got the salmon and jumbo shrimp. The food came out looking all exotic and fancy, like a magazine. And thank goodness the taste matched. The food was full of flavor. The salmon was medium well and just flaky and sweet addy the same time. The food was bathed in a broth that agreed a nice touch to the food. The shrimp had a nice grilled smoky flavor to it. In other words, it was soooooo good. My friend got the lemongrass seafood bouillabaisse and it looked good and according to him tasted good too. He did say it was spicy and his nose was runny a lil bit, so I believe him. All in all, I like Sage and will be back in the future for just a chill dinner or lunch.

This place is SUCH a gem — versatile for just chilling/catching up with friends or a place you would go on a date. Outdoor or indoor seating, take your pick. It’s just a really cool place to hangout, which I think the city needs more of. It’s like a black dress that can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. The best deal is the freaking CARAFEOFSANGRIAFOR $ 7. Be still my heart(and liver). All of the food is excellent, about as solid as you can get with standard Thai food. However, that coconut rice is seriously the highlight of the meal.

Good food. I like that’s it’s no fuss and I know that I enjoy everything I have tried on the menu. Saddened that I no longer live within walking distance it was always a quick dinner spot that the whole family could agree on. Kids Menu: my kids love the fried rice and chicken satay. One order of rice is usually large enough to split between the two and an order of chicken satay comes with two skewers so I usually order them their own. I love that their juices are served in plastic cups with vacuum sealed plastic lids. Great for keeping the juice in the cup. We started with the shrimp dumplings(yummm) and vegetable spring rolls(didn’t love them as much) my favorite is simply the pineapple fried rice and I like it very spicy. Cocktails are just ok. I usually just opt for water with lemon. No complaints I leave full and happy every time.

I was slightly disappointed with Sage because the food was just okkkk for me. I had the grilled salmon, which I thought was a bit bland and dry. Inside was an icebox, which was very unnecessary since the weather was a breezing evening. We asked to sit outdoors instead, all seemed well until one lady decided to have dinner… with her DOG at the table next to mine. It would not have bothered me as much if the dog would not have barked at everyone who walked by and growled at every dog that trotted along. Service was not all that. The waitress was not very pleasant, she seemed tired and preoccupied. My husband seemed to really enjoy it but I did not. The experience with the dog was just too much… I plan to visit again and hopefully have a better time(as per the husband, lol) This is a very nice restaurant in terms of: the décor, outside seating and there’s a backyard patio from what I was told.

Just hop in. You will be glad you did. Authentic Thai restaurant with quite a creative fair. The environment plus good quality food will make this a solid 4.5 in my book. Will visit again soon when I visit my father in law in Brooklyn.
