Came here for my boyfriend’s niece’s birthday and it wasn’t bad. They had a wide variety of food and they had sushi. It wasn’t good sushi but it was passable. The biggest draw here were the crab legs– people were fighting over them, tongs a-ready. I hate crab legs so I was merrily picking my lion’s share of the roast chicken, tuna salad, sushi, veggies, shrimp, and soft-serve ice cream. Going there for dinner on Saturday was pricey at $ 17.95 per head but if you’re a big eater, the price will be worth it. Come at lunch for nearly half the price(not valid on Sundays).

It’s definitely not one of the buffets you would have up on the top of your buffet list or any list. Like most Chinese buffets, it has different food options for you to pick, from fried stuff to seafood to sushi(not much to choose from) to fruits to dessert. Not many options but this buffet place is pretty cheap, so what else can you really ask for? I would suggest to go for lunch because dinner time it gets packed, like you get a number to wait for a long time kind of packed. The staff there looks bored, lazy and tired. I don’t know why but it makes the whole place seem so dead and not lively when you eat there. Some plates might not be washed thoroughly and might still have stains on it so look before you grab one and start piling up the food on the plate. The only thing I really eat here is the seafood because everyone eats it which almost guarantees that it was cooked recently or often, whereas the fried food and noodles, etc I don’t want to even guess how long it’s been out or how many times they’ve recooked it. To get your money’s worth, just keep eating the clams and mussels and eat only a piece of everything else if you really want to eat other stuff. If you want snow crab legs go at night for dinner because during lunch they don’t serve that. The seafood is really all I need from this place. Not the freshest but once again, for lunch on a Saturday was only $ 11 and it’s close by where I live, so can’t really complain. But what there is to complain is their sushi, it’s just so poorly made and dropped there, and it doesn’t look fresh nor appetizing. I used to come here all the time when I was a kid and it still looks the same right now(even the kinds of food stayed the same — not a good thing). The dessert section definitely needs an improvement in choices and options. I usually just go straight to the soft serve ice cream machine for my dessert fix.

It’s an ok eh buffet. I’ve been to many Chinese buffets in New York(I’m Chinese) this is ehh. The food was great, but I had better. There is not a lot of selection/choices. I found myself circling around the buffet area with an empty plate. Sushi was not the freshest. This place is very crowded or maybe it’s when I was there. It was hard to get back and out of my table. It’s price however saved it from being a one star.

I wish I could give negatives but… I went here with my entire family(husband 8yr old son and 1 yr old daughter) best friend and her two kids(8&9 yrs old). We proceeded to purchase trays of food for the boys, I purchased, and began to get my food I noticed that they placed all the Afro Americans in one section of the room, humh I thought… Then my best friend came back to the table and stated that they would not let her bring her food to the table and that they would hold it for her until she’s ready to leave(this is after she has already paid for it) so instead they had a couple of servers and the manager come over to our table and harass us about whether we were staying leaving paying for the children or not paying for the children my best friend became overwhelmed because my family had already sat down and began to eat, so she just caved in and ended up paying more than needed to be because of the harassment. after all was said and done the servers and the manager continuously stop by our table looking on and even after we stated that we would pay for the children. basically the meal for the children was $ 13 or so and for a takeout meal(a full meal) could have came up to easily $ 5/$ 6. they made such a big stink about whether we can utilize the takeout at the tables and made it awkward and embarrassing. I WOULDNEVERVISITAGAIN. Also food from a 1 – 10 was a 1. Bleh! I expected more and better off a variety.

Been here many times until today me, my eight year old daughter and husband walk in for dinner. We get the bill to realize my eight year old daughter gets charged adult pricing because she is 4.5 feet tall! Clearly the manager and staff see that she is a child BUTBECAUSEOFHEIGHTSHEISOVERCHARGED! of course I make a point and their staff with only two words of English say speak with the manager. Clearly disgusting way of robbing people of their money, last I heard when I visited many restaraunts a metric stick was never taken at the front door to determine if my daughter is an adult. Never again will I step into this establishment and I will make sure to tell others how grimy this place comes to customer service. I amazed not anyone has pulled a corporate lawsuit on robbing people in such a conniving way.

This place is absolutely disgusting! You’re better off eating at a hospital cafeteria. Your medical bills will be less costly as well

My colleagues and I brought about 70 hungry graduating middle school students here for a part of an end of the year experience. The staff was very attentive to our group and made sure all plates were taken quickly and pitchers of drinks refilled. All of our students found something to eat that was new and exciting as well as old reliables such as fried chicken wings, noodles, and even pizza! I wasn’t a big fan of the mussels. I thought they were a bit overcooked. Also, the sushi was a bit basic, mostly imitation crab meat with cucumbers. I thought that for a seafood buffet, I preferred the more traditional offerings such as the spare ribs, dim sum, dumplings and the egg rolls. Anyway, overall it was an enjoyable experience if nothing extraordinary.

Love that spicy chicken, the only place that serves it with jalapeños. Everything is pretty much standard Chinese buffet, mute smiles from the workers and crazy people that come in for lunch from all over the neighborhood. Sheepshead would not be the same without this place.

This place serves up pretty decent Cantonese food, freshness level is great for the price point. For a seafood buffet, it is considered a lot of varieties of shrimp and shells like clams and mussels. The servers are attentive and offered to fill up the water. The vegetables and fish options could add more to it. The wait for a table is about 20 – 30 mins.

Overall not bad of food and design too. Main problem is that the food isn’t cooked well specifically the Mussels. It’s not too clean in here and not to sanitary. The main bad problem is that the women that put the foods argue about taking too much. The Snow crabs are mostly the ones that are always secured on how much you take. The servents also ask for gratuity when they don’t do anything except for giving people drinks. Overall this place is a good buffet to just enjoy eating but not count as a occasional place.

This was my second time eating here. A very good deal for the seafod buffet. There is a variety of items to choose from such as salads, sushi, seafood, dessert, chinese food, bbq meats, etc. Then again, it all completely depends on how you like your food. This place is also extremely crowded and getting to your table through all the people is extremely hard and annoying.

You have to wait a very long time for crab legs and they go fast!!! Food is really subpar quality and not very good tasting either. The bill was given before we were done with the hot food. Limited menu items. Bottom line, don’t waste your money!

Excellent place to have a huge and delicious meal. Seafood is amazing — fresh and very tasty. Different kind of foods to everybody’s liking. If you are hungry and want to have a quick and substantial dinner then it’s a suitable place to visit.

If you wanna die from food you can go there! As for me I can’t stop and then I feeling that I will kill my self! Most of people are Russian there so you feel that you still in Russia. Food are normal and 11 $ for time from 1−3pm and 17 $ from 3pm! I like more lunch time bec food are better.

Seaport Buffet is probably one of the nicest, if not the nicest Chinese buffets I’ve ever been to. Clean and spacious, this Sheepshead Bay staple isn’t bad at all. A friend of mine wanted to come here for a get together at lunch. The lunch prices are about $ 11 without soda, and be aware that they do include gratuity, making the final price ultimately about $ 13 for a Friday lunch. The lunch options are a little more limited that the dinner I assume, but still adequate. I have to say that the food here is actually quite good. There are flavors beyond grease and butter. I was rather impressed with the wonton soup, seeing that I had a cold slowly materializing. Service is okay, not overtly friendly but not nearly as rude as another Bronx buffet(ahem). The bathrooms are clean, too, which makes a difference.

*** Large space, Great service, Decent selection of food *** Like many Asian buffets, you will find your common selection of Asian-American fusion type foods. I recommend this place if you’re looking for an all-you-can-eat experience. My only issue was the insanity for the snow crab legs; there needs to be a more efficient way to deal with customers who are not so patiently wanting the crab legs.

Mef this place is hit or miss. When the snow crabs are put out Woo Hoo. The rest of the buffet is average. The snow crab legs aren’t always available. I don’t think the owners realize if the food for the rest of the buffet was better people would not try to gorge themselves on snow crab legs. Anyway it is worth the money.

I like it here, the many times I came with the family for special occasions or holidays. Large space, but during the holidays, it can get crowded! To the point where there is a line inside, to get seated! Guess no one likes to cook during the holidays. Staff is similar to all Chinese buffets or restaurants — fast, efficient, no smiles or convo, simply taking your plates and getting your drinks refilled. This isn’t a complaint; this is something I’m used to and doesn’t bother me. But if you expect one-on-one service, intimate conversations or jokes with your server, it ain’t gonna happen here. Be prepared. As for claims that they rush you out, they never want you to stay long because they want a large volume of guests to maximize the tip. I have never been rushed out per se, but our family tends to eat and run anyway. Food is mediocre, generic, Chinese American fare, but there’s plenty of it and it keeps you full. Highlights:(or the junk I typically eat at these establishments) Spring rolls chicken and broccoli String beans Sweet and sour chicken with sauce Shrimp cocktail chicken nuggets French fries, fried chicken wings Lo-mein Fried rice My favorite dessert — soft serve ice cream, on a sugar cone, and dipped in chocolate sprinkles. The times I’ve gone it was creamy and rich. Really enjoyable to eat. I usually fill a soup bowl with chocolate sprinkles and I constantly dip each new bite. YUM! They have an assortment of other desserts, like cut up fruit, jello, other tiny cakes, maybe cream puffs, cookies, but I always avoid them because it never tastes good to me. For seafood lovers, it’s optimal to go during dinner hours.

Complete hit or miss. if you catch this place on the right day at the right time you can roll in BYOB and feast on a ridiculous amount of pretty good crab legs and other semi — decent semi– fresh 90% unhealthy options for like $ 20(including the bottle). On weekends or other random times in the day, it’s mediocre food at best. Trying to get a crab leg from the crowd standing around waiting for the next batch to be brought out might cost you the loss of a finger. Not to mention the social cost to yourself for subjecting to this unfortunate situation for a crab leg. I do not particularly enjoy feeling like a medieval peasant fighting over table scraps when paying $ to eat out. Got take out recently after a long hiatus here and the food was mostly inedible. had to throw it all out. Could do worse I guess, but especially on the weekends, when it’s double the price or something like that, could do a lot better.

I found this place when craving chinese on the way back from Brighton Beach. It was about $ 23.00 per adult on a Sunday. The quality of this food was much better than any other buffet I have ever been to and it was delicious. I don’t eat seafood but the mushrooms, vegetable lomein, green beans and fried chicken were all delicious! It is worth it if you want some variety for a fairly reasonable price.
