This is a great alternate thrift store. The focus definitely lies behind the two Owner /Clerks who have taken their obvious passion for punk music and toys and geared the shop around that. You can tell by the front window and door, covered in hordes of stickers from punk, skate and indie all stars like Scumbags and Superstars. Inside you will find a selection of 80;s and 90’s action figures and toys like, The Simpsons, He-Man and TMNT. There are pins, buttons, books, some housewares and then random bric-à-brac. Also aligning the walls is art made from used and broken toys and neon colors, all made by the one employee. Worth a pop in. They all carry the free quartly PORK, which isnt that easy to come by and i’m super glad to have a place to get my wierdo art and rock & roll fix.

The doorway of this place really caught my attention with the interesting and fun collections of stickers. I couldn’t really tell what kind of establishment it is from the outside. However, to my delight, it is a comic book store/toy store/thriftstore/art gallery and most importantly a super fun spot to spend my money on things I don’t need but things I want! I spotted a side table covered in all kinds of kitchen goodies. And everyone knows I get weak in the knees when one says… Pyrex! Ohhhh Yeah! Come to mama you vintage 70’s fun lemon print Pyrex juice beaker glass with original stopper. I guess this beautiful vintage piece used to belong to the owner’s aunt. The two owners are the epitome of comic book nerds but I love their modern twist of vibrant fun t-shirts(from a cool local brand called«Scumbags & Superstars») The guys were also very helpful, informative and were open for bargaining. And I love bargaining. The shop has some rather interesting works of art on the walls. There was a funny fart one that made me chuckle. I am a kid at heart. I will make an effort to pop in and hunt down some treasures.

The store certainly looked cool, so I ventured in. Only to be harassed and cursed at by the sole-clerk/co-owner. I barely made it past the entrance when the clerk turns off the lights and says«We’re closed, leave NOW». I turned around to leave but wanted to ask about the store’s time schedule, so i could come back. He proceeds to actually chase me out. Okaaaay. Still, the store looked fun, so I took a minute to look at the window display — from the outside, and then(gasp) I dared to take an overall photo of the store, which I was going to post on FB with something like«cool new store in neighborhood», when the clerk unlocked the door and yelled, «did i give you permission to take a picture of my store? You f***ing disgust me!!» WTF? This grown man’s poor mother was waiting for him outside by me and apologized. What a loser. This guy should be attending anger management classes, not running a retail business that deals with the public

This business is actually so much cooler than the name lets on(although I think there’s a good story behind it, ask the owner). It has more toys, collectibles, records, comics, vintage jerseys than clothes. WHICHISAWESOME. I’m glad I stumbled on this place today, because they have some really unique and geektastic items. The owner says they’ve been open for a little under a year, so I’m surprised more people don’t know about this place. I managed to find an LP for the Star Trek Movie soundtrack, a pokemon sticker, and saw some awesome art by Manuel Guzman(Buy it!) on the walls. This place has more than you could imagine packed in there. I honestly had a 90’s flashback for a second and I felt something hit me right in the childhood. Has it been that long? Anyways, Second Time Around hosts art gallery events, which is cool. I can’t wait to come back and see what new stuff they have.
