The former Chopin Chemists is the oasis among a desert of chain pharmacies that have popped up in Greenpoint over the last few years. There are so many things to love, including:
— A friendly, helpful staff that is always in a good mood! I love these ladies.
— A wide selection of high-​end bath, body and skin care products including Vichy, l’Occitane, Dr Hauschka, Weleda, and Thymes as well as organic brands such as Tom’s, Jason, and Pangea Organics. They also sell organic cotton hygiene products and many many vitamins and essential oils. This place has saved me so many trips to Manhattan!
— A great loyalty program. I’m not sure of the exact breakdown, but I get $ 10 off every 5^th or 6^th time I come here.
Basically, I haven’t been to Duane Reade in months and I’m loving it!

This winter I stopped by here a few times, quite impressed by the sheer volume of items available. This place used to be called Chopin Chemists, and the selection of bottled extracts and tinctures available with the Chopin Chemists brand is overwhelmingly comprehensive. For example, I went looking for an item nobody in the store knew even existed on the shelves until we went searching together, with helpful enthusiasm. I like this place, and it helps to know why you are there beforehand (maybe after one absent-​minded foray). However, you will see things you’ve never seen anywhere else and didn’t consider trying. Although the staff is Polish, being oblivious to the Polish language can be a benefit, as I felt like I was tended to with gracious concern for my queries. It may have also just been a uniquely caring salesperson that I ran into by chance, as the younger generation tends not to have old world hang ups. Don’t sleep on the Chemists at Sedona, they are legit, but double check that you know what you’re buying.
