Excellent service and fast turnaround. The burger is one the best I have ever tasted. Fresh off the grill and their milkshake is thick and creamy. Service is always great and they always make sure that you are not waiting too long for your order.

Decent place for a Burger. Much better then other fast food place. Very nice corner location inside the gateway center mall. Reasonable price as well.

Smashburger might be an adequate place for a vegetarian to find something to eat with a carnivore, but it is definitely NOT for someone with a milk allergy or for an uncompromising vegan. Nearly everything on the menu contains cholesterol, which indicates an animal ingredient (milk, butter, egg). If you can get past that fact, try the black bean burger and emphasize no butter on the bun. It tastes okay and isn’t dry but it easily crumbles apart. There are a lot of free veggie toppings to add to your black bean burger. The veggie frites are fried and salted green beans and carrot slices, also with cholesterol, and very caloric. The french fries are very thin and greasy, and start out crispy but wilt pretty quickly. The food is mega-​salty and I’m still thirsty 3 hours later. The staff are very pleasant, helpful and efficient. They bring your food to your table after you order at the counter, and they keep the tables nice and clean.

Help the worst. I’ve included a picture of my chocolate shake, first its half filled and looks vanilla. When I ask where’s the chocolate and the other half? My response that’s it, it’s portioned. Not going back

Burgers are made fresh which, to me, is the biggest perk of all. There are an assortment of toppings that can be added or you can chose from their predesigned burgers and chicken sandwiches. Either way you can’t go wrong. I’ve never had anything but a pleasant experience here.
It’s often crowded but the line moves quickly and it’s generally easy to get a table. I’m all about sides and they do not disappoint. Smash fries, buffalo fries, stack of onions and fried pickles are my favorites. Deciding which to get with my order is what generally takes the bulk of my time.
Overall I would have to say that the service is satisfactory. Employees are pleasant and helpful and they are always cleaning the place which is a plus with any food establishment.
In my opinion this place is the perfect combination between seated restaurant and fast food joint. Definitely eat here– you will not be disappointed!

The burger was pretty good. Loved the «skinny fries» as I would call them. However, the service is subpar and the conduct of the employees need to be overhauled. They certainly need training in customer service, employee conduct.

I went in to order something to subside my hunger. I have had smash burger before at the location near Herald Square, so I knew how to order my meal specific. I chose to make my own, which included egg bun, aioli, cheddar, cucumbers and lettuce.
I made it through about 80% of the burger before I started tasting it. F******G bacon in my burger! I was raised not to eat pork. I’m drastically disgusted, nauseated, and emotional about this ish.
The manager came out to apologize with vouchers for the future and I received my money back, which is the right way to go about this but I still really upset about it. God forbid I had an actual allergy to it. I won’t be going back and my friends can have my vouchers.

Nice place ! The burgers were really good ! My wife and I got food to go and brought home food for our 2 kids. Altogether the food was about $ 40. Where can you go to get 4 burgers and fries for that amount, other than a fast food joint.
The food is good and the price is right. I think if you’re in the area it’s worth a shot. I don’t think you’ll regret it.

My friends and I were shopping around and decided to grab a bite because we got hungry. We chose Smashburger over the pizza place a few doors down. The place was pretty crowded when we arrived and it took a while to find a table. We had to wait in line to order, then wait at our table for someone to bring out food.
My boyfriend ordered the classic burger and I ordered the avocado club and we also had a side of their fries. My boyfriend liked his burger, I thought the fries were okay, I’ve had better. When my burger arrived, I was pretty underwhelmed. My avocado club burger came with a three little slivers of avocado. While eating it, I tasted no avocado at all. What was the point in even ordering the avocado club when my tongue can’t even tell if there’s any avocado in it?
While my friends and I were eating, one of the employees insisted on having us move our legs so she can sweep under the table. I thought that was a little rude. She could have easily waited until we had left to sweep. Also, another employee stopped at our table and asked if we were all done, while I still had half a burger in my hand. One of my friends told her that he was all done and slightly pushed his tray towards her to let her know that she could take it away, but she took everyone’s tray but his. This really left us a little puzzled. Customer service here is so confusing and the food is mediocre. I will definitely not be returning.

I came here after buying into the hype. I will admit when you first walk in the aroma gets you but after ordering I felt like I got the short end of the stick. For one there is no sense of professionalism. I understand about having fun in the work place but I would appreciate you not standing around talking and laughing over my food. And for the 30 $ I would expect some fresh avocado. I could have went to Applebee’s and got better food and service. Never again smash burger you were less than smashing.

I don’t tend to try many burger places, mainly because I’m a vegetarian and almost always limited to ordering a big bowl of fries. But one day, after doing some light shopping, I decided to step into Smashburger and check out their menu. Naturally, I was starving so you can imagine my excitement when I saw a black bean burger on their menu. I made the line, ordered my burger and some smashfries, and anxiously waited at a stool for my burger to be delivered. They don’t take your order at your table at Smashburger, you have to wait in line, find a table, and wait for your food to be brought to where you are sitting. My order took about 15 minutes to arrive, and when it did, I went to town on that tray. The black bean burger is perfectly seasoned and their smashsauce complements the entire meal. The fries are thin and crunchy, just how I like them. I would love to give this place one more star, but the seating is a bit uncomfortable. I also would enjoy dining at this restuarant a lot more if the employees took your order from a table.

Tasty burger, great service, and casual atmosphere. I want to give it one more star, but it doesn’t quite measure up to Shake Shack in the burger dept and BurgerFi in the quality dept. the burger is juicy and flavorful, but I didn’t love the egg bun my Truffle Mushroom & Swiss came on. I would’ve liked more mushrooms too. But for an area that’s overrun by McDonald’s, Checkers and Subways, Smashburger is a delightful upgrade.
Order the large burger for more meat between your buns and maybe add on a few items. Get the onion stack and/​or sweet potato fries. And a milkshake. What’s burger and and fries without a shake?

Go there if you are on diet or if you are not hungry — the burger is tiny like 5oz and fried are very dry and cold.

Omg, we were there with less than six dining patrons.
The servers were all at the kitchen door, gossiping. My plate came out first and my guest’s plate arrived 20 minutes later (I don’t start eating until we’re both served. Needless to say, I had a nice cold burger)
Later we order a shake TO STAY and it arrives in a paper cup. Asking for the glass and the shake cup (because that’s what you do) were informed that there are no more glass cups — WHILE WE ARE LOOKING AT THE STACK OF CLEAN GLASSES AY THE COUNTER.
yes I get it, you don’t want to do dishes.

Today was my first day eating here and I must say that their customer service is great! The food is good and the wait is not long! Theres an outside area as well so you can enjoy the breeze… I’m a fan & I def. would come back.

It’s fresh! Thank God it’s fresh! I don’t want another frozen burger that taste the same since I was a kid. Gotta love the option of getting pastrami, mustard, onions and pickles on your chicken sandwich or burger. Feel free to let them know to he anything you don’t want.
The burger is not packed with sodium so you do immediately tell the difference in the lighter salt taste. I highly recommend you use the option on Unilocal to order and pay ahead. It’s fast and convenient!

Ordered: Avocado smashburger (minus the ranch dressing and mayo) and Sweet potato smash fries
Pros– The «smashed» burger had a nice grilled taste and wasn’t too heavy.
Cons– The fries weren’t that crispy and were too oily.

I went into Smashburger with hopes to find an official burger spot in south queens/​Brooklyn area, a Shake shack type maybe bare burger but I was disappointed to find out it’s just another 5 Guys/Wendy’s mass produced burger. The menu has a vast array of toppings n options than the lower tier burger spots but the essence in the patty, that’s why I got the classic Smashburger with the hopes of being blown away all I got was thin and over cooked. Aside from that the Smashfries were really good and I will be back to try the Chicken smash burger
had the chicken and it wasn’t anything special either but it wasn’t terrible but much of the same too much bread overtaking the sandwich as a whole

I heard nothing but good reviews about Smashburger so since I was craving a good olé burger, I decided to give them a try. This location was extremely clean and there was a sense of order in here which allowed everything to flow smoothly. The wait time for our food was about five minutes which was cool with me. My son and I decided to dine in rather than take our food home. The service provided was pleasing to me, very attentive to each customer’s needs. My son ordered the bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions and regular fries along with this delicious strawberry lemonade drink by a company called Natural Cabana. I ordered the BBQ bacon cheeseburger with spicy buffalo fries along with a Oreo milkshake which was so good. I enjoyed my dining experience here at Smashburger and will definitely patronize the business again.
