Bagel order incorrect. Coffee too hot and flavorless. Bow tie donut stale. A waste of $ 11.00. Go somewhere else.

I order lunch from here a couple of times a week. Their sandwiches in particular are excellent. I don’t think pasta is their strong suit, though. Incredible variety to the menu, and really good food for reasonable prices.

This place is super hit or miss. People still go here because there is nothing else like it nearby. I once got soup and found a rubber washer in my mouth while eating it. I stopped ordering food for months and just got coffee here which is also hit or miss. My husband likes the pancakes but they screw up the order about half the time. Last time I ordered delivery I got someone else’s food and had to call them to let them know they probably gave my order to someone else. The receipt in the bag had all this woman’s personal information on it. Today I decided to try the soup again since its been almost a year and ONCEAGAIN had to spit out a chunk of something black and not edible. I have no idea what it is. DISGUSTING!!! Ugh.

I’m done with Soho Café and Grill. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for too long, and frankly I’m just fed up. This is the first time I’m giving a bad review to any place on Unilocal,I’m just tired of their terrible customer service and employee’s apathy towards getting orders right. This afternoon I ordered a California Wrap, they charged my credit card without further question and delivered. The problem was, without specifying, there is a morning«California Wrap» and a lunch«California Wrap». I ordered at 11am, and they did not ask me which version I want, they just gave me the morning California wrap, which is not what I wanted. Fine, ok. When I called back and told them they gave me the wrong wrap, they insinuated it was my fault for not specifying which version I wanted. How would I even know that? It’s there job to ask which version I want. Once again, fine, I’ll categorize that under misunderstanding. I then asked if they could give me the correct wrap, which they replied its another $ 2 more. I told them I ordered with credit and didn’t have two dollars on me, and a curtesy exchange should be a nice gesture(what’s $ 2 for a wrong order?). But she said I needed to pay another $ 2, so I hung up, hungry and pissed off. This is the first of several occasions that there service was either subpar, non-existent, or just flat out getting my order wrong. I’m not sure where the problem stems from; whether its lack of proper management, apathetic employees, too busy to care, or a combo of all of the above. But this was the last straw for me, I’m just tired of the terrible service and lack of consideration for the customer. I don’t care if you’re the last deli in Kensington, I’m not ordering from Soho Café anymore. Also as a final cliffnote; I got sick last month from what I assume was undercooked meat from them. Just beware of this place all around everyone.

The food isnt as great as you would expect it to be for the price on their menus. Some of the people are nice and some are rude it depends on when you go. they are cheap with their utensils and with their fries for some reason like for that price dont give me like 6 fries. Anyways I do not order from here anymore nor do I go there, youd rather eat pizza with the delicious carbs: P

They had a sign outside advertising a chicken rice platter and canned drink for $ 6.99. I ordered and when they rang me up, they wanted to charge me $ 7.99PLUS $ 1.50 for a can of Coke. I told them it was $ 6.99 advertised outside INCLUDING the drink. The cashier was someone I’ve seen before a few months ago, so I know they know the price. Anyways, shady shit like this doesn’t deserve any business. Also, the chicken was dry and the rice too salty.

Shady place. Overexpensive for what you get. They receive a huge volume of delivery orders and I think they make their money off of that volume. I’ve gone in there and once waited 40 minutes for pancakes and eggs while delivery person after delivery person went out the door. Most recently, I ordered something so simple there’s no way the woman working behind the counter could have gotten in wrong. I asked for a small salad($ 7.50) with one meat that costs extra($ 1.50). The woman wrote down($ 7.50 + $ 3.00). I had to ask for the receipt but I didn’t look at it until later when I realized they charged extra. Meanwhile this now 10.50 + tax salad was barely half a meal. Way overpriced and too many mistakes.

Great place to get almost any kind of food you want. My boyfriend and I use this place for most of our deliveries because they have almost everything. Any kind of breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, panic is, pasta, steak, chicken, fish, fries, salads, wraps, and tons more. It’s just regular food. Nothing too special but definitely worth buying. Delivery is always quick and if there is a mistake in the order it is usually taken care of. Also, through you can earn mad points so $$ accumulates and you can save $ 3-$ 5 every once in a while…

My first reaction while taking my cheesesteak out of the bag was that it looked pretty big. After un wrapping it, it appeared to be very flat and more panini like than any cheesesteak I’ve had before. There was very little meat and it wasn’t cut well. Overall it was okay but not great. For my first time here, its about what I expected after reading other reviews.

I was in the neighborhood visiting a friend… We went for a drink then craved dessert… My friend wanted a cake… We couldn’t find a place anywhere. I said lets just get Carvel, she said lets try cakes at Soho. I didn’t want to… but I caved in. Big mistake. Huge mistake. First of all, it’s so hot in there. So we got Tiramisu and Napoleon(at this point I blame mojitos for this awful decision) We walk to OP to sit and eat them. Her Tiramisu was old and tasted awful. My Napoleon didn’t taste like one(at this point I knew it wouldn’t since i got it at some lame café) I ended up playing with a fork in it because I wasn’t going to have a bite, and what do I find? Mold! I was repulsed, disgusted. My friend had a dirahea all night and I kept dreaming of mold all over me. No more mojitos on a night I want cake hahaha

My best friend and I used to order from this place practically every night. We had just moved into the area and would get home late forcing us to eat out for about 2 months. We would get the same thing every time but they would STILL get the order wrong. It came to a point where we did not leave the store without checking the bag to make sure everything was there. Aside from their incompetency to get their own orders right, the cashiers are RUDE. One cashier had the NERVE to try to charge me $ 0.50 for a side of sauce that THEYFORGOT to put with my order. When I proceeded to show her that it was supposed to be included in my order, she didn’t apologize but instead rolled her eyes at me. Like what? You see the same customer everyday and that’s how you treat her… real professional. The one thing this place has going for it is their food — it is somewhat decent. Only go here if you have no other option. You will be disappointed if you expect anything more.

I order lunch from Soho several times a week as I work nearby. Quick and easy delivery(phone or grubhub orders are sent quickly and correctly). They have a wide range of items but I can only speak to their wraps, salads and smoothies… all 3 are excellent. My regular order? The Santa Fe salad. Excellent. Thanks for lunch, Soho!

I ordered a chicken Marsala tonight and was so excited as I used to love how they made it. My delivery came and I noticed immediately how light it felt. To my surprise when I opened the container I was presented with a platter of dry chicken which tasted only of the egg wash it was pan fried in. No sauce. No flavor. I quickly called and was lucky enough to speak to a really pleasant and understanding woman who stated that she would fire me up a new one and rush the delivery. Excited, starving, and hoping for redemption. I eagerly waited for the delivery. It was prompt however just as disappointing. Overly drenched in a bland sauce with an undercooked brown rice that I did not order. Does Marsala wine cost that much that they didn’t even bother to use it?! Soho what happened!!! Wishing I went with my gut and ordered the chipotle burger. Sigh…

One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. First time we ordered for delivery, and it took FOREVER to get to us. I called a couple of times to see where it was and the girl who answered the phone gave me an attitude for asking. Finally they called the delivery guy, and he said no one was there so he left. Our instructions said to call us when he arrived, because we live on the 2nd floor and must come down, and I confirmed these instructions when I called. At that point I just canceled, since our food was going to be cold and gross when it got to us. They had what sounded like really good food, though, so I decided to give them another shot. Second time we actually got our food, which was a step in the right direction. I ordered lemon ricotta pancakes and a coffee. The coffee was ice cold(I did not order iced). I didn’t expect it to be hot, but I was at least hoping for luke-warm. The pancakes were gross. They didn’t taste like lemon at all. They were cold and had clumps of ricotta dumped on them. Not at all appetizing. I took a couple of bites and then ordered from somewhere else. My roommate, who ordered the French toast, also said his meal was not very good. We will not be returning.
