Denise did an awesome job! She was timely, professional, calm, kind and friendly. She was also very informative and attentive. I was very pleased! Money well spent!

My session was very helpful. I felt my therapist (Denise) really had a good understanding of her craft and technique. The atmosphere was very relaxing and I smelled wonderful from the oils! Can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful experience beginning to end. Melissa was attentive, thorough and explains everything she is doing as she is doing it, which is helpful. The room is clean, comfortable and relaxing. Lovely!

I never leave a review on Unilocal,but after the amazing massage I received yesterday, I had to do it. Denise did wonders for my neck/​back pain. She asked very detailed thorough questions about my pain, when it started, for how long, etc. She had a very nice, calm, soothing presence about her and she immediately made me feel comfortable from the moment I met her to the very end. I thought I received pretty good massages in the past but after Denise I realized that none of them even come close. I have officially found my new masseuse and will recommend Spa Sundara and Denise to all of my friends.

Denise was wonderful! She gave me a facial and then a massage. She gave me an in depth skin analysis, which apparently was much needed. During the massage she found areas on my back that were bothering me and alleviated the tension. Because my skin was so youthful the next day, I booked out a facial for the winter months.
The experience was private and her knowledge was something I had not experienced elsewhere. In such a wild city, It was so nice to be treated with care and compassion!

My massage with Denise was great — she is highly skilled and gave me exactly the kind of massage I wanted, with firm pressure and a lot of relaxing stretching. The space is small but has everything she needs, and it was totally relaxing. Denise herself was lovely. I would definitely recommend Spa Sundara to anyone for whom the quality of the massage is more important than an elegant waiting room. Hope to be back!

Simply put, this is one of the best massages I have received in New York City.
When I arrived, Denise asked me detailed questions about what I was looking for. After I described my symptoms and the kind of treatment I wanted, she gave me a very thoughtful response. She was quite sensitive to my particular needs.
She gave me a combination of deep-​tissue and Thai massage, which was exactly the mix to relieve stress and increase flexibility. The room was comfortable and the background music was relaxing. I felt totally relaxed afterwards.
The spa is easy to get to from the Bedford stop on the L train. I live along the L train, so it was convenient. I also found that booking an appointment on the website was simple. Based on previous reviewers’ Unilocal comments, it sounds like the website has improved quite a bit because it worked well.
Most of all, it was Denise who made the difference. I’ve seen massage therapists who are good technically but are not sensitive to their clients specific problems. Denise definitely has that extra touch.

This is a ridiculous business. The website does not work for scheduling and when I finally got a hold of the owner to schedule an appointment (which we agreed upon verbally) SHE DID NOT SHOW UP TO THE APPOINTMENT! I got there 10 minutes early and there was absolutely no signage. Overall, I waited 50 minutes outside for her to return to her closed up shop. Still have not been called back… This is a massage service and supposed to be a relaxing experience and now it will not be one. Reading her Unilocal reviews it looks like she has done this to other people like Loleatta. You cannot run a service business like this, overall experience really put a sour taste in my mouth.

I usually don’t write negative reviews about small businesses, but I felt that I needed to do so this time. I tried to schedule an appointment on the website and was unsuccessful so I called the 888 number of the company. It was forwarded to a cell phone, which I had to then leave a voicemail and wait for someone to call back. Denise, called back promptly and took my information, including my telephone number and scheduled an appointment for the following day.
Fast forward to the day of the appointment and I arrived 10 minutes early. I waited outside the location, which by the way has no signage, for 25 minutes. I left her two messages and was finally called back. Her excuse was that she was with another client, so she could not answer my call. I understand that you are a small business and appointments sometimes run over, but common courtesy would have been to call me before you were running late to give me the option to cancel the appointment or reschedule before I wasted an hour traveling to the location and then another 35 minutes waiting. What was the purpose of taking my telephone number?
What’s ironic is Denise took my credit card information just in case I did not come to the appointment or canceled after the allotted time. I guess her time is more valuable then mine.

I’m in love with my eyebrow! Denise makes the best eyebrows. She’s amazing! Love her!
