Second or third time using this place to replace my lenses. Fast and inexpensive but the frames are pricy. I highly recommend this place and the people are nice.

I should’ve known better than to go to an eye doctor in a shopping area better known for its custom name-plate belt buckles and discount electronics. 1800 Contacts made this appointment for me since they wouldn’t reorder my lenses without my seeing a doctor, and it seemed easy so I went. The doctor who gave my exam kept calling me by my last name instead of first– and it should be pretty obvious to anyone who has spent time in the Western hemisphere which is my first name and which is my last name. That was warning number one that I ignored. Warning number two was that he determined the sight in one of my eyes had gotten stronger instead of the usual weakening or status quo, so he altered my prescription. Bad move. My eyes never adjusted to the new scrip and I wound up going to my old reliable doctor, Adam Friedland, in less convenient Park Slope. Lesson: don’t be a lazewad about your vision care. You need your eyesight – it’s kind of important.

They take many insurances. They are polite and listen. They are willing to work with you if you do not have an insurance. Prices are very reasonable. Recommend highly.
