Subway

Google Maps told me they close at 11 p.m. I got there around 10 p.m. and ordered. When I sat down they told me they were closing. Inconsistency and misleading information really annoys me…
The dude working there wasn’t particularly friendly to me either.

There were 4 pieces of meat in my entire footlong sandwich. That should be a damn crime. In fact 4 seemed to be the favorite number of the guy making my sandwich. 4 pieces of meat, 4 slices of tomato, 4 olives, 4 cucumbers… it was ridiculous! My $ 5 footlong was all bread and lettuce.

I’ve never felt compelled to write a review for a chain restaurant but this is the worst Subway I’ve ever been to! They’re sooo cheap with the toppings! Want spinach? You get 3 leaves on your 6 inch sandwich. Want tomatoes? 2 paper thin slices. I didnt even know it was possible to slice tomatoes so thinly. Green peppers? 3 pepper segments. Sweet peppers? 3 peppers. Ask them for a lil more of any ingredient and you get 1 – 2 extra pieces depending on how generous they’re feeling that day.

I come here all the time when i’m in downtown Brooklyn and i have a different experience every time.
Some things are good and some are bad, a couple of the workers have been there for a while and they are good. They work fast and know the routine so the whole process is smooth. Sometimes they will ask you if you want extra dressing on the sandwich which is nice.
The quality of the food seems to change week by week, the bread could be perfect one day and stale the next time.
For some reason it’s always hot in there, they don’t like putting the temps at a reasonable level.
Overall fine, just don’t expect the same experience each time.

Had two bad experiences here. One was when I ordered a sandwich and asked for extra meat and tomatoes and the employee literally took one piece of ham and placed it in the middle. (I’m supposed to pay .50cents for that??) and he didn’t even put an extra tomato on the sandwich. He just took the tomato and replaced it with another one. I quickly understood what was going on. it was miscommunication because the worker spoke very little English (understood only yes no and okay)
One other bad experience was with the Buffalo chicken sub. It tasted like crap! Yuck.
Ill let it pass. Other times Ive came here and ordered my swine orgy sub Meats: bacon, ham and pepperoni on Italian bread. toasted with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, oil, vinegar and hot/​sweet peppers. the works! Lol and it was made spot on and quick.
Guess it was just a temporary love/​hate relationship with this place but when I’m in the neighborhood i will be sure to go back. Just will be mindful off who likes like they know what they are doing.

I’ve been over charged on a couple occasions at this location. Also they are stingy with meat and toppings more than any other subway I’ve ever been to!
