Unfortunately, I am allergic to both life and myself. I was born an itchy red baby and most likely will die an itchy (hopefully) elderly adult. I’ve been to countless allergies to treat my chronic hive as well as other allergies that cause itchy skin, redness, sneezing, and overall In an attempt to diminish the crappiness of how my body feels. The thing about allergies is that it’s very hard to detect the root cause of what’s causes it and what’s going on in your body. Because of this all the established midtown high end allergists I’ve been to basically say to me, yea allergies suck. Take a Claritin. This is not worth my time of the Copay.
Dr Patel is refreshing different. He really takes the time to help you understand what’s going on in your body and gives you options on treatment or a plan of attack. He recommended a new drug to try that normally is not for chronic hives but it has shown to produce results. I was really surprised that no other established midtown allergist offered that option. He also have me a coupon for some medication to save on antihistamines. How great is that?! A doctor that actually wants to help and save you money on medications. I cannot recommend him enough. He is a knowledgable, caring, and all around great doctor without an atrocious ridiculous wait. This department in the hospital runs like clockwork which I also appreciate. No sick patient wants to get even more irritated by doctor offices that don’t respect your time.

I saw Dr. Patel for an allergy test. I had been suffering from sinus-​related headache and dizziness for several weeks. I was anxious about having an allergy test and was nervous about the appointment but Dr. Patel was soothing and gentle. He spent a ton of time talking me through the results of the test and helping create a plan for how to manage my allergy. He typed up notes and printed them out for me and also shared the notes with my ENT. He clearly took my high anxiety levels into account in the way that he treated me; he used positive affirmations and laid out concrete treatment steps in a way that left me feeling confident that my sinus issues would eventually succumb to treatment and I would be back to my old self soon. The whole visit was a pleasure — from his friendly front desk team to his capable nurse — I highly recommend Dr. Patel’s practice if you have allergies.
