I made mistake of forgetting that I ordered from this place and didn’t like it, ordered again and had the same bad experience. Subpar sushi and take out doesn’t even include any napkins or silverware chopsticks!!! Will have to remember never to order from here again

Do you like wasting your time? If so come here! Do you like overpaying for your meal? If so come here! Do you like empty restaurants? If so come here! I went at a non-busy time, the restaurant wasn’t packed on a Friday night. Waited 3 hours for my orders. An additional 20 minute for the check. The food didn’t taste like it was made from the hand of God so it wasn’t worth the 3 hour wait. Why did I wait 3 hours? One of my friends really wanted to try it. Take my warning and run. Manhattan priced sushi that doesn’t deserve it. That will be the last time I’m there.

I love this restaurant. The special rolls are amazing and keep me going back again and again. the service is wonderful and the owner is friendly and really gets to know her customers. She knows what wine and cocktail my girlfriend like so as soon as we arrive she knows what to bring us. The apps that we have tried so far are great, the Gyoza especially i love. I even went to japan recently and couldnt wait to get back to have their special rolls. It is also really good value not expensive at all by even Brooklyn standards. if you are looking for a cozy japanese restaurant or a great quality takeaway i would highly recommend and you may end up like us going weekly!!!

My opening line is too avoid this restaurant. I had a chicken teriyaki bento box and it was fine, but that was not the issue. The issue was the staff and their rudeness. I went on a blind date and I sat down to dinner with this woman who I was meeting for the first time. When the waitress came by, I asked for separate checks as I never pay for anything on the first date. There are lots of girls in NYC that don’t have money and just go out with guys to get free meals. The girl I was there with was dull as dirt and was clearly going through the motions. I had not intention of paying for her part of the meal from the beginning when I met her for the first time at the restaurant. We ate and when it came time to pay the bill, they brought everything on one check and I told the girl that she had to pay her portion. She stated that she did not have any money(no cash or credit cards). Who goes out with no money? She said that I could pay for it and then she would next time. I refused that deal as there wasn’t going to be a next time as she was dull as dirt. She was clearly there only for a free meal; she also told me that she still lives at home at 34. When I say thats not good enough, she gets up and walks out. I told the staff that I was not paying for her portion and they go outside to look for her, but they reacted too late. They tell me that I am going to have to pay for everything and I say absolutely not as I asked for separate checks. I remembered that she had given me her cell number over a reputable dating site that we had first contracted each other. I gave them her cell number and they called her. I told them to call the police and they did as I was not paying and letting her walk away with an entitlement complex. No way was I paying for her meal. The NYPD never showed up while I was there. I was disappointed in the manager as they told the police that there was a customer in the restaurant that was refusing to pay as I was not refusing to pay, I said I would pay for what I ate. They didn’t give an accurate story. Luckily, the NYPD never showed up(you get what you pay for) and I was glad as I am not thrilled with that organization and the disparity between how they treat men versus women. If they had shown up, I bet they just would have laughed and told me to pay, but I still would have refused. It probably would have escalated and I still would have refused. I was glad to avoid the NYPD completely. I told them that I wanted to pay for what I ate and leave. I tried to leave and this waitress blocked my path and rudely told me to sit down. She had an absolutely disgusting attitude. I tried to go for the door and she actually sat down in front of the door. When I tried to move past her, she screamed«Stop hitting me, stop hitting me». I wasn’t hitting her and I would never hit a woman ever and never have. There was a guy there who was also pulling the door shut when I tried to open it. Apparently, the staff would have to pay for her portion if I didn’t pay which is why the waitress was upset. However, her abuse claims are unfounded and another reason why I am glad the NYPD didn’t show up as I am sure they would have gone along with the lies. The waitress and the manager had foul attitudes and I turned on my iPhone recorded before it turned nasty so I can prove it. I also took pictures of the nasty waitress sitting in front of the door. I am going to try to post them on here. Eventually, they got it touch with the woman. I think she called the restaurant after I texted her(luckily again, she gave my her number) that the restaurant was calling the police and I had given the restaurant her number. I guess she agreed to come in and pay the next day. Eventually, they gave me separate check and I paid for my bento box and left. As I left, the disgusting waitress told me to never come back and I told her that I wouldn’t. There are lots of other sushi places in the neighborhood. That was my first and definitely last time at Suki Sushi.

Good quality, reasonably priced food. The place is very cute, especially the inside garden that you can use during warm seasons.

Great food. Order delivery usually, but stopped in one night after work and sat at the bar. Wrong move. The bar tender was ultra annoying and wouldn’t shut up about her boy friend. Besides that food was good

Ordered delivery: miso noodle soup, spicy tuna roll, and tempura cheese cake. Food arrived on time so it was off to a great start. Sadly, none of the dishes I ordered was to liking. The soup wasted with udon noodles, tofu, and kimchi which is all good but the broth was really sort of blah, no depth of flavor order than salt. The tuna roll didn’t taste fresh and the tempura cheese arrived smashed and it was way too sugary, the tempura batter was too thick and soggy. Furthermore, it was served with the tiniest dollop of whipped cream that really wasn’t enough to cut the sweetness of the cheese cake. It was garnished with a slice of orange and kale which makes absolutely no sense to me. Such a disappointment all around

Yes, as good as it gets. After being a loyal customer for over 2 years now, Betty and Linda ordered uni just so I can enjoy it in their restaurant. Of course knowing how picky we are, they ordered the best they could get their hands on. And very, very affordable knowing the quality. And… it was some of the best sea urchin I’ve ever had. Suki is one of the best Sushi restaurants in Brooklyn. I have managed several restaurants and I think I have some sense of what quality fish tastes like. The only issue is it caters to people that order rolls and makis and only judge by the price, which by the way, is absolutely reasonable for the quality.

…stopped in for a late, late, late lunch. Had 2 Salmon Sushi, 2 Tuna Sushi and Shrimp Hibachi Dinner. Very good, and generous portions too. The employees are very courteous and professional as well. Every time I eat here I am extremely satisfied. For me to give a good review is very rare. After working in the Hotel and Restaurant Industry for over 15 years I have become very critical. I definately recommend Suki Sushi.

Great place to go if you would like quality sushi and are going to eat with someone who does not eat sushi as they also have a good amount of cooked entrees. The service is very good and the food tastes fresh. Great ambience and clean restrooms too.

I came here at night and it was empty(I guess we came early). The ambiance and décor was really nice. The staff was really friendly. My boyfriend and I both ordered sushi and sashimi. The fish is fresh and tasty. This is definitely the place to come for sushi and sashimi!

This place is an absolute gem. The sushi is fantastic and the quality is consistent. In addition, the staff is extremely and friendly. My wife and I just had a baby. We feared that our restaurant dining experiences were over. The staff at Suki Sushi changed all that. They could not have been more accommodating to us and our family. We also love the back garden!

Came here because my husband was dying for some sushi. Walked in and it was completely empty besides the employees children playing in the back of the restaurant. We quickly sat down and ordered a soft shell crab appetizer and the coconut lobster well which was supposed to be a Suki special, along with the Suki special roll and a volcano roll. The food came out pretty fast but as someone who eats sushi a lot in a lot of different places the food just didn’t do it for me. I found it really bland and the flavor profiles didn’t really fit the menu items. For the price I just would have expected to like it a little more.

This is the best Japanese restaurant I ever ate in NY. Amazing coconut lobster roll, fresh sashimi, beef bento and sake… The hostess is super nice! I love the outside garden, siting there eating and drinking is the best part of my day! Strongly recommend!

I live pretty close by and I always walk past thus place. Finally decided to try it and I’m glad I did. Luckily we went on a Sunday when they had sushi brunch. Fantastic deal! Soup or salad, app, specialty cocktail and any special roll or two regular rolls or other options. The apps were great, shrimp tempura and gyoza. Then we had the pink lady roll and the sushi option. The fish was fresh and delicious. As a drink I got the green tea martini with gin which was also great. So good it sneaks up on you. We then finished with tempura cheesecake, which was out of this world. Lastly, the service was phenomenal. The only thing I regret is not trying this place sooner.

YUCK Good Sea Food is expensive in this case you just get expensive. Wanted Sushi after my workout and the huge Thanksgiving diner I had last night. Basic lunch salad with two rolls(spicy tuna and a California roll) Both were made with soggy rice and were very small. Salad was nothing special and the ginger salad dressing was bland . Whatever won’t be back.

I remember this place as DISH and now they were bought out by new owners and I was so disappointed! I still gave it a shot with the boyfriend since we came out for a nice little dinner but I was just not feeling the place at all. Most of all the decorations were gone and it wasn’t as nice and Asian fusion décor as it use to be, the whole bar is completely taken out, according to the waitress they don’t have there liquor license yet which so sucked! Looking at the reviews it seems this place is been here a little while already. DISH had prob. the best sangria around! I did not enjoy the area where the cooks where, the décor was tacky and the place just looked like a take out sushi. The sushi was okay but I feel I had better and just drinking water all day, as good as it is its boring when you wanna enjoy some alcohol with it(does that make me an alchi?) I don’t think I will come back here. Nothing really makes me want too neither.

Came here for my birthday. Made reservations & were seated right when we came. Waitresses and bartenders are really nice and attentive. Don’t bother you too much, but the right amount of time. Food was great! Everything was really delicious & they have a great selection. A bit pricier than other Brooklyn sushi places(especially the appetizers for the amount of food) but still beats the Manhattan prices. Order the Coconut Lobster roll. You won’t be disappointed ! Atmosphere is perfect. Dim lighting just how I like it and comfy couches. Has that lounge feel. The only part I was not a fan of was the drinks. Drinks are WEAK. BARELYTONONEALCOHOL. My drink tasted like watered down juice. According to my guests, sake was okay. I also had some Pinot noir after, which was okay too. Overall, I had a good experience but Suki needs to stop skimping on the liquor.
