Didn’t try the bagels but the burger and fries were good. Nice clean place to chill and eat. Wasn’t cheap. But not too bad for good food.

I live nearby and stay up late, thus Sunset Bagels should be a very convenient place to go for me. However, after buying their bagels pretty much everyday for the past few weeks, I just gave up on them. First, they make buying a bagel something very unpleasant. The staff is almost never friendly(except the guy that works overnight), they cannot organize a line for ordering, and it always takes more time than expected. Second, their bagels aren’t so good. I mean, they not only don’t taste very well, but they also make my stomach hurt. After checking some of the reviews here, I just realized I’m not the only one. Third, if you ever need, their delivery services are also pretty bad. Something as simmple as 3 bagels with cream cheese and tomato will probably take more than 45 minutes, even if you live less than 2 blocks away. I wish there were more places with BAGEL in the name around the neighborhood.

Typical bagel store, sells sandwiches, salads, cold pastas, wraps and even hot grilled food. Its open 24 hours. Theres tables to eat on. Nothing special or fancy about it but the workers are chill. Can be pricey.

Food’s decent, but not GREAT. The cream cheese for the bagels isn’t fresh. They have a lot of items in the menu though. I recommend their burgers, they’re excellent.

I work around the corner so they have a convenient location for me. The food is either hit or miss. I have enjoyed a tasty meal from them a few times, with equal amounts of times the meals are cold, and soggy. The service is terrible. The staff flirts with women to the point it can be called harassment. The food is over priced for the neighborhood. They take a long time to take your order, and often mix/mess up the order. It can take 20 minutes to fill your take-out coffee order. They have survived so long because of the limited competition. I try not to go there… If I do, I try to order in advance over the phone(and still have to wait).

I don’t have good feeling about this place after I got here. And against my gut feelin, I went on and got two sandwich from this place for a friend and I. Well I am used to food in brooklyn and these small place food is not challenge to my stomach. My friend on the other hand, end up with a bad day haha. On the clean level, I don’t really trust this. I would go over the Sunrise across the street or somewhere actually have A/C on a hot summer day. Price is all the same for deli in this area around $ 4 a sandwich which is unheard of. Take that you suckers living in the city: P

This rating is for a store visit. Tonight I went in after work and they charged me $ 9 for a sandwich-grilled chicken on a roll. So when I point out that I never paid that before and I wouldn’t pay it the counter dude told me they raised their prices. Shady since I spoke to the same dude when I got home and he told me over the phone it was $ 6. Last time i walk through those doors gents. You don’t deserve to stay open if you want to fleece your clientele. And fleece doesn’t have the bite to describe that shadiness.

Just moved to Brooklyn and needed some food at 2:30am. Not too many places open and deliver at this hour so I decided to try. NEVERAGAIN! First, it took 1 hour for the food to get here because the deliver guy rides a bicycle. Then I discovered the container lid the meatball spaghetti comes in was loose and the sauce was all over the bag. The worst part was the food — I’ve never had meatballs that tasted so bad. It was completely dry and over cooked; tasted like cardboard. I could hardly swallow it without choking. The hotsub was just OK, nothing special. I guess they manage to stay in business by opening 24 hours a day.

This restaurant is basic in every regard. Average service, average food, slow delivery. It’s just kind of… meh. I’m honestly not sure how much more there is to say. They are open 24 hours a day though, so if you need a late night sandwich in the neighborhood then this is the go-to place. Too bad it’s not better.

We were patrons of SPB since they’ve opened and we’ve pretty much had it up ‘to here’ with all the botched orders and late deliveries. It’s not uncommon for a 7 block delivery to take about an hour, and to arrive cold, undercooked(breakfast only, to be fair), and to be the wrong order altogether. The management staff seems inexperienced in running a high volume restaurant as the phone will often ring repeatedly without an answer(when I was in the food service industry, I was taught that anything beyond 3 rings of a telephone was unnacceptable) and orders get confused regularly. Eating in, the food is generally OK. However, with the looming gentrification of the neighborhood, they better get their act together if they intend to last. Sorry guys, my money is going to George’s Diner for breakfast now.

The reasons for liking this place are as follows: Open 24⁄7 Friendly staff Great Food Decently Priced Probably the four main things any person needs out of a great deli. Located in Sunset Park, this small establishment has made a big name for itself. Well, at least I’m impressed. But anyway, I really do love their food and the guys who work there are great; they’re always up for a friendly chat and are not afraid to harass you when you’re drunk and screwing around in their place of business. As you can probably tell, the earliest I’ve ever been here is like 12:45am, but I’m sure it’s just as good during the day too.

First the good stuff: they have flat bagels for those of you who like that, and they also have probably the largest selection of non-alcoholic beverages ever. There’s diet sunkist. there’s also that jazz pepsi. Believe the hype. They are 24⁄7 so its a great place to get stuff when drunk. The staff is friendly, although when they get busy it can take a really long time to get your food. Delivery should be avoidable if you can pick up, it takes forever for delivery. Might I suggest the tater tots, or chicken fajita wrap(cheesy goodness). I used to do the spicy dragon all the time but got tired of it. The belly buster breakfast sandwich is a sick joke that tastes really good. The omelets are good even if the homefries aren’t. Oh their fries are waffle fries, if that’s your thing as well. They have some meats and huge salads, and you can get stuff like tuna salad there as well. They had hummus, and weird refridgerated prepared dishes like vodka penne.
