Can’t give zero or negative stars, so I reluctantly will give one. I brought my wife and two kids in for lunch on a Saturday. They were pretty busy. But we sat really quickly. We had to share a table with a couple. No big deal. But after sitting for a few minutes, I got up and went and grabbed menus. We looked through the menu, it is a typical diner. After being there for about ten minutes, my kids were getting restless. No one had approached us to greet us. No one had brought waters. Nothing. After another few minutes, we left. No one seemed to care about that either.
If you’re busy, I get it. I have worked in restaurants for 10+ years. The place wasn’t even full and they couldn’t keep up. We won’t be going back.

Their jumbo bagels are not jumbo just regular sized bagels very disceptive. The food is just ok and they are slow to deliver order an hour before you need it.

So me and my wife decided to have lunch here today as it is conveniently located between both our jobs lets just if you dont have a suit on you won’t be serviced as well! Table next to us (table full of suits) got the 5 star treatment while we were only asked one time if we were ok we had to wave down another waiter to ask for a to go container and a check after waiting so long for our own waiter never again will i visit this place because the food wasn’t anything to rave about! prices were good

Love this diner — the Spanikopita is copious and delicious, coming with a large Greek Salad. The onion rings are (usually) really tasty and fresh, and the blue smoothie is tasty. I just came back from a big brunch — pancakes, eggs, and bacon — that cost less than a cocktail at some places.
The Latino waiter who’s been there a couple years is a really great, attentive professional. He saw me looking at the milk for my coffee and without asking brought over a new one. I don’t know his name, but he’s awesome.
Oh and their delivery is super fast.

The breakfast here always does the job. The service and wait staff are friendly and accommodating. This is a no frills old school school joint that reminds me of New York back in the day.

11 years I have been coming here for affordable breakfast. This time was $ 11.00 for sausage and eggs in a dish. I ill be back but will get the sandwich next time. This is a local favorite spot. Lunch, etc. Coffee good and service good. parking is the challenge but worth it. By the way they were jammed… no seats.

First time here for breakfast and rating it high because great fresh coffee, perfectly cooked bacon eggs and fresh linked sausage, good value for the money. Clean place and very friendly owner and staff. We plan to come back again. Finally a place that knows how to serve breakfast fare.

I love a good diner and this is tried and true. Huge menu, low-​cost, good food.
The only thing, is I never see people in here, so hoping it can survive the times and changing hood.

This is what a Greek diner should be. A full menu that all kinda tastes the same, and is ready in 3 minutes flat, the waitresses call you honey, the owner is fixated on the perpetual soccer game on tv, and you have a lovely view of the underbelly of the BQE. They specialize in hangover cure-​greasy breakfast and powerhouse platters of Greek specialties. Honorable mention: a pretty legit turkey club

Dear Sunset Diner, please know that if you could just make some decent greasy spoon food then your cute little diner would not be empty as much as it is. Making good diner food is an art and sadly there is no art here. The food is oddly tasteless. No soul!

Just run-​of-​the-​mill diner food. I’ll go here if I have a few extra minutes in the morning to grab something before starting my day. I usually get the sausage omelet, which is good. I like their potatoes, too. And their waitstaff is attentive.

Definitely a jewel. Sadly, nyc is losing classic old school diners like this. They’re simple, the people are nice, it’s not pretentious, the food is solid, and you just feel comfortable here. If I lived closer, I’d be here weekly.
Good breakfast specials till 11am. Classic diner coffee; it’s not burnt like Starbucks, and it’s not single origin or anything fancy. It’s the stuff your dad drank in the 70s and 80s and it did the job.
Spanish omelet today came out in 3 mins. Awesome.
Definitely stop in when you need a good breakfast.

It’s a fantastic little diner with dated décor and delectable food. I’ve only ordered from their breakfast options, specifically the pancakes or waffles, as well as from their burger selection, predominately their bacon cheese burger. Both have been delicious time and time again. I keep going back for more and will continue to do so!

Everything else I’ve ordered has tasted kind of… well, just old. Or, in the case of my sandwich today, had some hairs hanging out that were definitely not mine. The servers are always very nice, though.

Literally, diner food that couldn’t get much WORSE. In fact, it takes dining to a whole new low. I actually laughed when it came out. Thankfully, they unwrapped everything from the plastic it came in before the waiter dropped it at our table. If I had the desire to waste time, money, and dignity by writing a «terrible food» blog, this would be my first post. Also our waiter was intimidating and there was a lot of internal drama taking place in the kitchen/​counter. Probably a front for a drug ring.
