What kind of café is cash only even for the larger priced orders?! Mad annoying to see when you come in — and this place is so darkly lit that you can’t really do much. The décor there is such a waste of space and is super uninspiring. There are many other coffee shops that you can go to for better coffee and environment. Bagel also took forever to get and it was so expensive as well.

Love swallow! Great coffee, plus the bagels are Bagelsmith, and they’re BOMB. Go earlier for a bagel though, they tend to run out pretty quick. Also, cash-only spot, but there’s an ATM.

I was sitting here with a PC… and people made me feel funny about it. I mean, listen cool people, some people dont have Macs. Actually, truth be told, there ARE people out there that dont even like Macs. Swallow that down.(see what I did there?) That said, I like the space. I like the coffee and I think the service is fine. Dont be a dick and you wont get treated like a dick. Write that down and thank me later. Cool little spot for a stop over. Wifi not killer and when too many people are there… its slows to a crawl. Other than that, this place works.

There’s this one woman who literally looks like she wants to murder me just for smiling at her/asking her how she is. Lol. I don’t really care because clearly her problem, not mine, but I think she needs to change industries. I’ve only been twice but both times I got that icy stare and chilly vibe… two stars, because at least they’re consistent!

They’re specially brewed coffee just for them is worth the travel to Brooklyn. Whatever is in this blend it’s so delicious and smooth you can’t get it anywhere because they have a blend that’s only made just for them. Latte was super delicious frothy… if you’re a coffee lover and you’re in Brooklyn you’ve got to try this place out. They also have a lot of vegan options as well good for them.

First time here & I’m a tad bit disappointed. I pass this place a lot but I’m always in a rush but I decided today was a good day to finally stop in & grab an iced latte. The service was fast that I cannot deny, the espresso okay but the vibes were one I did not find myself wanting to return too. No smiles, no friendly please come back or welcomes not to mention my latte was just sitting on the counter & I’m pretty sure she didn’t call it out. I get that the hipster thing to do is act like you don’t care & not smile but come on guys this is a business — if you want me to keep paying $ 5 for an iced latte I can almost get on every few blocks be a little kinder. I will be returning in hopes to receive better customer service…

These guys are always just a bit short of rolling their eyes at you. It’s as if they want you to feel terrible about yourself for stepping in there. I give up on this place. Also, learn how to toast a bagel.

It’s coffee. You should go there to get one. Then Leave! You people who post up at coffee shops and play on your laptops are the worst. Get a job loser.

Solid place to pull up a seat and do some work. Seems like there’s an abundance of outlets to keep you juiced up and good to go. We ordered the sencha tea and a everything bagel with cream cheese. I usually put a lot of cream cheese on my bagel but they doubled what I usually put on hehe. But I’d rather have more cream cheese than less. Ain’t nothing fun about a bagel with minimal cheese. Décor is like it’s a repurposed building. Which it probably is. It’s dim and, well… it’s what you’d expect from this hipster haven. This spot is cash only so come prepared. There’s an ATM on site though!

I gave this 4 stars because of the space to work in this café, there are plenty of sockets around and seats, I love coming here to work. The coffee was nice too, I think swallow serves a standard coffee house taste.

Love this place! Coffee is good and so are the croissants and bagels. The chocolate croissants are delicious! Service is friendly enough, and the line always moves quickly. It’s clean and the open layout is inviting. Lots of light from the large windows. Prices are fine. It’s probably a good place to do work during the week because there are lots of plugs and tables and seating, but I feel like it gets too crowded on the weekends to concentrate. It also gets touristy on the weekends, with lots of people taking photos and such. Oh and the small coffee is really tiny. You’ll have to get a medium.

I was going on a street art walking tour and it started in front of Swallow, so I thought I’d grab a quick coffee for the walk. Wasn’t expecting much from the drip coffee, but it was actually pretty good. Glad I decided to be cheap and not get an espresso based drink, which is usually my regret at new coffee shops.

Espresso here isn’t that dense creamy sweet kind. Kinda tasted very earthy and a little too strong for my taste. Cortado needed more milk — prepared like a macchiato instead. Maybe this place is just for hardcore coffee drinkers that like everything crazy strong. Drip coffee was okay — strong as well. Total hipster central — the crowd and décor. Old school student desks and lots of refurbished wooden tables and chairs. Kinda cool. Very dark — good for dates or catching up, not so much for studying and/or reading. I feel like a lot of people go here to kill time withstanding the wait at Roberta’s around the corner. Prices are decent, and service is standard. Pastries looked kind of gross and sad, but their cookies looked really dense and huge.

Soy cappuccino is unusually good. All other soy cappuccinos are garbage water to me now. –1 one star because the music was too damn loud and the chairs were pretty cold. :-/

Excellent coffee, cash only(but why?) Convenient location on the way to the L, but a lot of people come here for their morning coffees and I almost always have to wait in a line –1 star because the lighting is dark and horrible if you’re trying to get work done or read.

A nice chill spot on the corner of Atlantic and Clinton. The big windows allow for people watching lol. Wish they had more on the menu:/ Try the gourmet chocolate bars; a bit pricey, but so tasty

Nice pastries here(kinda huge compared from some places in Manhattan) and amazing cappuccino. I loved their almond croissant. The place may look like they furnished it with rubbish, but it’s just another hipster place(with real amazing food– so let’s close an eye here) with a way too dark ambience.

Luscious creamy soy cappuccinos with a beautiful leaf drawn on. Very pretty crowd makes things taste better. Some gluten free treats for an afternoon pick-me-up. Just ask, as they are not marked. Richie: it’s a thumbs up from me! Peter: very yummy oat bar(gluten free) helping with flatulence condition while still delectable. Cappuccino on point! Lovely view. Baristas perfect balance of apathetic and knowledgeable.

I just wanted to leave this picture. When your neighborhood feels like the chill opening day of a music festival at all times, it’s scenes like these that really get your heart fluttering. This should keep the stroller set out for another 2 years. Great work, people.

Beautifully drawn leaf On top of my macchiato… I’ve only taken a sip. But I just hold it like a hot treasure In this cold Polar Vortex winter weather. A whiff of aroma from french presses Filling the spacious room… To wake up my senses. Music echoes brick walls and I want to sing, My heart warming up under Swallow’s wings. … (Oh, and they have free wi-fi too)
