Best Mexican around. PERIOD. Excellent food and service. Delivery is fast, pick up as well.

Another great Mexican staple in the area! Have had delivery from here and it was quick. Also ate in last week. Service is good. Language barrier not a problem. The dining room is narrow, but it’s great for an. Intimate date night. Get the fajitas, anything steak, and save liver for me. It’s been gone when ever I ask for it!:(

Authentic Mexican restaurant steps away from the train and the perfect drunk food to stumble to and order from. The nachos are A M A Z I N G. You don’t come here for the ambiance and décor — so best order delivery or take out and devour in the privacy of your own home.

I ordered from them through GrubHub since they have such good reviews there, and the prices didn’t seem unreasonable for the food. I ordered beef nachos with extra guacamole and pico de gallo. First of all, who makes nachos without pico de gallo?! Perhaps that’s just a thing particular to my culture and chipotle. Second of all, the order arrived almost an hour later than anticipated, and without guac or pico de gallo. So my nachos were this: corn chips, beef, beans, cheese– done. I feel the juice is not worth the squeeze with this place– I’m not sure if this is a one-time mistake, or if they thrive in their inability to complete tasks efficiently, but what I do know is that I won’t be ordering from them any time soon. Or ever.

My friends love this place but I can’t understand why. Both my roommate and I got sick after eating Here on separate occasions. Breakfast is disappointing.

I ordered delivery and received the wrong order. Called the place and told them it was not what I asked for. The Lady on the phone was very apologetic and tried to figure something out but I could here a man in the background telling her no to every suggestion we came up with to resolve the issue. My Situation was not handled appropiately or resolved, I paid more than for my original order than I received. They were not willing to bring me what I ordered and not willing to refund my money. Do not waist your time with this place. They are inconsistent with there food and service. I’ve had great times with them previously but lately they have been messing up. Will not order from here again.

I ordered delivery from here the other night for the first time and let me just say that the food was PHENOMENAL! I ordered the Sencillos Nachos with cotija cheese sprinkled all over the top(because I thought it’d be a nice addition and it sooooo was) and a Chorizo Tostada and every bite was pure delight! The green sauce is delicious too! I could not stop myself from eating it! My boyfriend ordered a steak taco and a steak burrito and the burrito was HUGE!!! He said they both tasted amazing and I totally believe it! I will definitely be ordering here again! And again… and again. The food was so FRESH and DELICIOUS and didn’t arrive to my apartment all sloppy like from some other Mexican delivery! Taqueria Cocoyoc… I love you! Keep it up!!! :)

Easily the best Mexican food I’ve ever had in the 10 years I’ve been coming to NYC. I’m from the Mission district in San Francisco and I’ve never had a spicy goat Torta. The meat is tender well cooked, tasted fresher than most Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. There taco game is on fleek here.

Man, listen! When you’re home on a lonely evening and hear the rain drip dropping against your windowpane you immediately open your seamless app and browse. Or is that just me? I ordered here one very LATE night and I was very pleased. Despite the heavy rain outside, my large portion of food was piping hot and delicious. I had an enchilada platter and a tostada because I was just that lonely I wanted to eat enough for two to feel complete. Don’t judge me. The food gave me that guilty overwhelming feeling of not giving up on it because it’s too good. I was so stuffed I had to skip breakfast the next day. BEWARETHOUGH, this is not easy on the stomach. I REPEAT… this is NOT easy on the stomach. I had a lot of personal business meetings between my ass and le toilet but I won’t gross you guys out. It’s worth it though and the delivery is fast. A plus for me is when the delivery man literally delivers the food to your door in ANY type of weather. I didn’t get a «meet me downstairs please» he came straight to the door to greet my hungry and very lonely self. I’ll order from here again easily!

#Cool backyard patio. Although a couple of bees chased me inside. I thought I was swatting a fly near my face, but realized I smacked a bee. He went away, but came back with a friend. They attacked my #tostada. It must’ve been really good.

Ordered a veggie burrito from here for pick up: choose one veggie(I think the choices were mushroom, nopal or zucchini), beans and rice. It’s kind of interesting because they put all the hot ingredients in the burrito then give you all the cold stuff(lettuce, avocado, cojita and tomato) on the side as a «salad». I’m from California, so I’m used to them just slopping everything together in one giant burrito blanket. Maybe this is just a take-out thing? They also don’t seem to include pico de gallo which just seems foreign to me being from Cali. The flavor was really good though, and it’s not very greasy. Some taquerias drown their veggies in a tub of oil, but this place tasted healthy which is totally my cup of tea. Definitely legit for a veggie burrito though — highly recommend. Service was fast and friendly. Place was really small, but good for grab and go.

Good sized portions. Decent tasting tacos. Yummy tostada. Didn’t sit well in the stomach. With all the other Taquerias in the area, I have many more to try before going back here.

Save your money, time and energy. Terrible customer service, language barriers and disgusting attitudes aren’t even the worse part about my experience here. In fact, had they made my food correctly, delivered it on time and not overcharged me I might have given them more stars. It’s the fact that they did all of that, had sh! tty attitudes AND tried to insinuate that I *the customer that gave them my business at 1:30 in the morning* did something to cause all of this to happen. They were disrespectful, illiterate, unresponsive bimbos and if you have any wits about you at all, you’ll tell your friends and family to stay far away from them and their scumbag business. The worst Mexican and The Worst Customer Service in Brooklyn. Double Whammy. I’d rather eat rat poop and attempt a rational conversation with Donald Trump before patronizing this establishment EVER again.

My friend and I came here after reading that they had some of the best tacos in NYC. I have low expectations of east coast Mexican food, and they weren’t even met here. My sangria and chips and guacamole were very good, but the tacos were terrible. I ordered nopales tacos, which were completely tasteless. I attempted to make them better with lots of hot sauce and lime, and they were still basically inedible. The tortillas tasted raw, and the vegetables were watery and flavorless. Service was slow and dismissive.

This was our go-to local Mexican takeout place until I found a rusty staple in my taco. If I didn’t catch it before swallowing, things could have been VERY bad. When I called to complain, they offered no effort to make things right. Chalk it up to the language barrier, but at the very least, I would have appreciated a sincere apology and maybe a refund on my order. After all, mistakes happen! If you’re feeling brave and don’t mind poor customer service, I will say it’s a great little place for delicious, authentic Mexican food — takeout or eat-in.

Authentic Mexican, delicious and not too expensive. I ordered the carnitas quesadilla, which was made with a corn tortilla. Although it wasn’t pressed like I imagine quesadillas to be, it was absolutely delicious and fresh. The chips and guacamole are a MUSTBUY. The chips were fresh from the fryer and it comes with a generous amount of guacamole. Definitely will be ordering from them again! Delivery took about an hour.

I’m really confused about the 4 and 5 star reviews for this place. I gave it 1 star because it wasn’t possible to give zero. I went on a Friday night and expected there might be a wait. However we were seated immediately and everyone else in the restaurant already had food so thought we would be ok. The waitress took our food order and never returned for over an hour. After we got her attention she brought over one of our party’s orders and let us know they didn’t have the ingredient to make the other dishes. It took her over an hour to let us know they didn’t have the food we ordered, and she gave absolutely no apologies whatsoever. Please don’t waste your time. This spot is dirty and the servers are insanely rude. I’ve heard the food is really good, but never got to try it.

I really love this place. It’s comfort food. One of those hidden gems. Whenever I’m the the ridge-wood neighborhood this is my spot to eat mexican food. I recommend the huaraches & horchata. Also other stuff is great, the food has a lot of flavor and is not bland. This includes the rice & beans. This type of mexican is like the one my family makes when I got to Mexico. The atmosphere and area are not the best. So just go for the food !

In a neighborhood blessed with a morbid obesity-inducing number of FUCKINGOUTSTANDING Mexican type spots, Cocoyoc is the goddamn star. I know my man is a little weirded out by its overwhelming sweetness, but in my mind(and heart)(and STOMACH), the molé sauce here is the gold standard. This is the molé sauce that makes other sauces feel inadequate and plain, but this molé is so amazing that even if other sauces were like, «hey what the eff, molé, who you think you are?» this molé would smile and offer to teach them how to be awesome and then they’d all be friends. But I digress. There is, indeed, an outstanding array of Mexican type food options in the area, but if you told me I could only eat food from one of these options because the zombies were coming or something, I’d be the first person standing outside Cocoyoc with a cricket bat and a chainsaw(ok maybe just a hand saw), ready to defend their glorious enchiladas from the undead hordes or whatever. Just saying. OHPS: this isn’t a fancy spot(unless you’re really impressed by plastic forks or plastic forks are something you’re hoarding like gold bullion), but the service is goddamn outstanding and so is the food. The end.
