Walda is amazing. The teashop is small, but oh so quaint. She always has samples of her blends. The NYC blend is the best if you are a coffee drinker. She also has palo santo smudge sticks and homemade soaps.

I’m a tea lover. I absolutely respect the leaf so it was refreshing to see TeaFey in BedStuy. It’s tucked away in the back of a vintage clothing shop. The owner of TeaFey, Walda, is incredibly passionate about each blend of tea that she creates. When I arrived she was in the midst of experimenting with her Valentine’s Day tea blend. We chatted for a long time while sipping her Breezy blend — delicious combination of lemongrass, mint and elderberries. When you stop by TeaFey be expected to not only peruse her tea products but also stay awhile to relax with a long chat in this cozy shop!

Just stopped in here the other night to see what kinds of teas were available, and went home with some«Oat Chai Spice» and some mulling spices for holidays parties(mulled cider and wine!). It was like a little adventure, finding her shop nestled inside of a really awesome vintage shop. Truth be told, I am friends with the owner, but that in and of itself says a lot about this review, since I study herbal medicine, and so does she. I take herbs seriously. I have traveled to third world countries with her, and I know for a fact that she cares A LOT about health, and puts a ton of thought into her infusions. This isn’t a mass-produced Argo, or Teavana, or whatever. This place is run by a real healer who has a real relationship with her products, and her blends are awesome. I’m drinking my oat chai as we speak, and I’m feeling nice and mellow and warm thanks to the carefully selected ingredients: which by the way are all organic and top quality. I know, because I know her sources and they are beyond legit. Support a future local legend, support organic, support yourself.
