You’ve got to be kidding me with this rating. This place is so low class it has no business in such an incredible part of the city. It’s like a Queens version of coyote ugly, only with worse music.
I go to places in this area that I feel I am not even cool enough to know about much less go to… a place has to be pretty lame for me to look down on it. This is that place.
I suppose it is pretty cheap for a dance place, so I’ll grant an extra star for that.

Bathrooms you could catch Hepatitis C in. Security staff are nice — really decent people. Confused why tonight there was blood splashing towards my drink during some meathook suspension body piercing show gone wrong. Think whoever does the marketing for this place is immensely confused … the fact that half the people cleared the room while this ‘show’ went on kinda defines this.
Soul-​less place that clearly had good intentions and was once good and now is just mediocre.
Horrific vodka.

I was at the tender trap on Saturday night (4⁄2) and I just want to thank the bar staff a million times over! This place was extremely busy as usual and they were extremely professional and personable. As a bartender myself I frequently asked myself how they were keeping it so professional. Bartender etiquette should be mirrored around the WHOLE staff. You guys are just amazing!

Came here on a Wednesday when they host a bunch of amateur DJs spinning live. Super cool vibe, love the back room which started out with cool beats and good music, good crowd there to support the music community.
As the night went on though, the music got really bad. I suppose out of a line up of a bunch of DJs, some sets are gonna be bad. But it actually just seemed like the same group doing different sets in the back room. Not really sure. I would come back again to check out though.
Front area is a typical dive bar. Bartender was attentive, Kettle soda was $ 9 — I think that’s normal for Brooklyn now? Tis’ what it costs in Manhattan.

Stumbled upon this place because the pizza place we wanted to go to next door was closed. Tried all the beers on draft. So good. Excellent atmosphere. Woooo! I miss Brklyn! :’(

If I was going to be stranded on a desert island forever, TT is what I’d take with me.
Last time I was there a staff member accidentally knocked over some of our drinks, and then came back later with replacements and then some. I was a regular at old TT (RIP) and am stoked the new one is just as great.

Felt really out of place, the music was dope though, decent prices at the bar and also the venue is really nice… just stay away from this place if you like a diverse crowd, I went on a saturday night and was shocked by the amount of stereotypical beard wearing hipsters… I know this is greenpoint/​williamsburg in general but they are really all converging to this spot I swear… wasn’t expecting this

Jodi the bartender is smoking hot and gave me fast efficient service during busy hours. The venue is big and the party’s always bumping.

I have been to tender trap a few times in my day. the bartender with the beard (eric I think) is always really attentive and remembers my drink order. even on a wall to wall packed Saturday night, he handled that bar like a champ. I was very impressed. I will return to tender trap and enjoy the quaint front «patio» and the venue space in the back.

In need of a drink and only have a small wad of change in your pocket? Tender Trap has you covered. They have really managed to transform the former COCO66 into something truly special. Vibe is always on point, killer service (big ups to Ketchup for always showing us a good time) and it doesn’t hurt that the gallery in the back room rotates weekly.

Sunday evenings are definitely my favorite night of the week and that is strictly because tender trap on a Sunday night warms my gentle little heart. It all starts off with a giant smile and the best greeting one could ask for from their local bartender, I believe his name is ERIK MUSTARD? Maybe Erik mayo? I’m not quite sure. Some kind of condiment. It’s probably Erik relish. Anyways, he provides great drinks and conversation about ghouls and goblins and the badass chick djing Sunday nights is also a reason to go there! Best tunes in town.
Tender trap has really turned into a place I wanna be. Great staff, great artwork about butts (I think each month it changes but the mud flaps month was my favorite)

I went in here to have one beer after work and ended up staying for hours, chilling with the bartender Nicky, listening to the music he was playing and checking out some dope art. Place has changed a lot over the years and I’m pumped that its back to an establishment that I want to hang out in. The place has sort of an 80’s BMX, punk NYC vibe about it now that isn’t overwhelming, just fun and clean. Be back soon trap.

I’ve been coming here since before it became the tender trap, and I have to say the only thing that keeps me coming back is the A plus bartenders and Dj spinning real vinyl! There is one bearded bartender who has the best jokes, and gives good head (on your beer) I think his name is Eric! Ask for him!

Four Stars
I am pretty sure this place stays in business because of Paulie Gee’s Pizza next door. The place was busy with other pizza wanters. I had $ 8 markers mark. It was decent pour in a rather small glass. The bar counter had a row of outlets to charge your phone. The bartender was friendly. The place was all around decent place to wait for pizza.

I loved the old tender trap. Great trap music, fine line for the bathrooms, etc.
New tender trap equals somewhat inept bartenders who care more about their typically ironic looks than helping people, particularly the Amish looking one. The old trap had really good music and people. This one plays the Barbie world song for its sub par crowd. The smoke machine in the back room is a nice touch, and I love the vintage pop up shop idea. Being far in Greenpoint it’s just not going to be the same crowd or feel as before, but even Enid’s Saturday night show plays better music and feels like an actual trap house instead of a hipster haven.

The return of tender trap, deff an upgrade from the last spot, space is way bigger better sound too; the only thing is they don’t take credit cards.
