I just got my takeout delivery to me and the food looks really good and tastes like food in Thailand before. I got the Thai tea pad Thai with beef and also drunk noodles with shrimp. This is real Thai and spicy the way I cook Thai in my wok I got the Thai crispy duck curry sauce. It is so good with vegetables and comes with rice . I just got the steamed dumplings for 5 $. They are delicious. You get 7 for $ 5. I think it’s overpriced . I ordered their general tsos chicken I try it hoping it would be as good as the Thai dishes. I can tell you it was nothing special it’s like every general tsoschicken in New York City. Stick to the thai food after eating here a lot I have the sides of the best things on the menu are the Mongolian beef the mass amount of Kuby the crispy calamari Thai style and the steak salad those of the best for me

Have not ordered food from them in a while and today got lemongrass chicken, green papaya salad and coconut rice with mango. Nothing was as good as I remembered it. Lemongrass chicken was greasy and salty instead of spicy, green papaya salad was all mushy and had no flavor and coconut rice tasted more like watered down rice pudding with some sour mango slices that were getting brown already. Have to find another Thai spot…

Ordered tonight because did not feel like cooking. Love the beef satay and the Mongolian chicken. The food is pretty good for delivery. I order all the time. Would recommend to new eaters. only problem they take to long to bring the food.

I order take out from here all the time and really appreciate the food option in a neighborhood with not much variety.

I decided to try this place again for the second time for delivery. The first time I ordered from here, the scallion pancakes weren’t good — they were soggy and very oily. I ordered the scallion pancakes again(couldn’t resist my craving for them) and also got pad thai with shrimp. When the food was delivered, it was still steaming hot(a huge plus for me). The pad thai was a little too much on the sweet side for me, but it tasted okay. The shrimp was pretty good — I wasn’t expecting that there would be eight shrimps in the pad thai. The scallion pancakes were hotter and crispier than the first time I had them from Thai Basil, but they were still very oily. I would only order from this place again if I was craving Thai, but I’ve had much better in other areas.

Not everything here is good but when you find the good stuff it’s totally worth it. My favorite three dishes are the drunken noodles(I usually get no vegetables), the Mongolian beef, and the pineapple fried rice. The staff are usually rude and won’t deliver unless you order more than $ 50 worth of food. Either way the yummy dishes have great flavors and if you can pick up the food or are placing a big order then I say try it out.

Ordered from here two days ago for the first time. Here’s my take. Appetizers were great, we had coconut shrimp(HUGE), spring rolls, scallion pancakes and edamame. Delish! Thai iced tea is always a treat, but would have loved to be able to get Thai iced coffee as well. Entrees were good, but not really what i was expecting. Both my husband and i ordered Pad Thai(chicken and tofu/veg) In 95% of Thai restaurants I’ve been to, this is not a spicy dish. You can ask for it to be made spicy if that’s your preference. At Thai Basil, their Pad Thai *is* spicy and you have to ask for them to not make it spicy. I like spicy food, but I like my Pad Thai sweet and tangy, not spicy. We ordered both entrees(via GrubHub) with special instructions(added as a required choice by the restaurant itself) to be mild. And what we got was definitely medium spicy. The dish was still good, generously portioned(enough for me for three meals) but really not what we asked for. Please don’t think i’m saying it was bad. it wasn’t. I’ll just remember to ask twice for mild/no spice next time. we’ll definitely order from there again.

Very first time ordering from this place and it was a great experience. Everyone is right… the chicken pad Thai is absolutely amazing. Possibly the best that I’ve ever had from a fast food restaurant. We also got the spicy basil fried rice with beef… yum! Everything was great and doesn’t leave you with that icky greasy food feeling. Lastly they do not skimp on the meat. Both dishes had a ridiculous amount of meat. Very very satisfied… and I highly recommend!

I absolutely adore Thai Basil. It’s really high-quality, portion-heavy Thai food, which, for the area is a win. We order delivery from Thai Basil at work at least once every two weeks. Delivery is super fast, and the prices are cheap. The $ 7.50 lunch special, which includes an entrée, soda, salad, and spring roll, will fill you up… trust me. My favorite dish here is the Glass Noodle dish. The Thai fried rice is delicious, too, but the noodles are everything. They don’t need additional sauce or chili… LOVE. Dishes range from $ 6 – 13. Some of the appetizers are a bit over-priced, but, everything I’ve had has been exceptional.

Wow!!! I found my new place to enjoy Thai food. My husband and i ordered meals to go. I must said it wasn’t that cheap but it worth every penny. I’m in love with curry roasted duck. Wow. Four thumbs up!!! Sorry no pictures this time, we couldn’t spot eating. Lol.

I was highly disappointed in the quality and service of this place. My bf and I went to grab some Thai seeing the good reviews and it did not live up to the 3.5 stars. We were denied the lunch special because we came in 5 minutes past 3:30 so we ordered regular entrees, no big deal if the food is good but it wasn’t. The Thai iced Tea was so artificial tasting I couldn’t even finish it, the pad Thai was super sweet and saucy-when it’s supposed to be dry noodles. The chicken with basil was super salty. The woman behind the counter wasn’t that friendly but the guy was pretty nice when I asked for hot sauce packets and he gave me like 5 of them. I was hoping it would be my go to place for Thai food but sadly won’t be the case.

Consistently the best Thai food in southern Brooklyn. I have enjoyed their food for about 2 years. Their spring rolls are heavenly, and their pad Thai is savory, spicy and sweet. It’s almost too good to be true. The best of all has to be the fried rice. It comes with all types of vegetables and egg and choice of protein. They have fast service, but I would prefer that they expand their delivery area to match comparable restaurants in the area.

The delivery came in time, which was good. The food however, was either too bland or way too salty. You ask, How does one make Thai food bland –with all the seasoning and spices? I don’t know, why don’t we ask them. The food tasted as if the owner didn’t care. Only thing that we didn’t throw away was the Pad Thai. Rest, we couldn’t continue eating. If it was just bland, one can manage, but not if its drowned in salt. There’s not many Thai places near by, I was really hoping they were good. I’m writing this, only so I can remember not to do it again.

I love this place. I live in the area and I love the convenience of having a nice Thai take out right by my house. That being said, the food is consistently delicious, I have only 1 gripe. The green papaya salad is a little mushy. I’ve seen someone else write about that salad. It’s a shame cause I love papaya salad. This place still warrants 4 stars. It’s a small a family owned business, and the owners are very sweet and friendly. I own and operate a small business myself, and I always appreciate small neighborhood family businesses. Gotta keep them alive! Try them out!

There are a few and I think maybe no thai places in Gravesend/sheepshead area. So they could really not even bother and take advantage of brooklyners craving thai and serve something not up to par. That being said we enjoy all the food from here. They have a great vegetable selction, the portions are generous and the food is good. Try the veggie beef or chicken tso. The tofu and eggplant is great The pad thai is delicious It’s not like the Thai food in the city, and it may be because they are trying to cater to less adventurous eaters, but is delicious and fresh and hits the spot. We usually order via Grubhub and the deliveries come on time with all menu items included. Give this place a try *****EDIT: I have been a faithful customer here and recently experienced some horrendous service and food. When I called to complain about my order the person on the other line no longer spoke or understood English and started speaking another language, forcing me to hang up frustrated. I will no longer be eating or recommending this place to anyone.******

I’ve ordered from here only once before, and it was pretty tasty, but this last time was just meh. For a take-out joint, it’s in a good spot from the bus routes and it’s on my way home from work. Both times I’ve only ordered their shrimp drunken man noodle, so I can only review for this one dish. This past time the dish tasted more like a chinese chow fun with some spice. Nothing about it tasted anything like Thai should. I’ll have to branch out a little more next time, but for now, it’s just okay in my book.

I’ve only tried this pllace for take-out so maybe my tastes from here are a little skewed. I had the chicken pad thai and it was only ok. I didn’t like the strands of chicken verses larger flat pieces like other places and the overall flavor was fine, but not memorable. The bf got the pad si yil(might be spelled differently), but it had the flat noodles, chicken and chinese broccoli. He thought it was good and would get that again — his dish got those typical chunks of chicken I was expecting. I would try this place again.

All this time I thought there was no thai even remotely near me, and turns out there is this gem. Thai take out is all I ever wanted, guess its true what they say dreams do come true. You can order on Unilocal which made it the whole experience even easier, and the portions here are huge. The crispy calamari — Crispy as the name suggested, flavorful and good sweet chili sauce on the side Pad Thai w Beef — tender beef, good flavor, right amount of spice Masaman curry — perfection, chicken was moist and tender, vegetables were soft, the curry was a perfect mix of sweet, spicy and milky. Overall great experience, excited to try the all the other options they have.
