MEH. Nothing to write home about. I’m a big burger fan and have had them all over the Country. The best was in a Holiday Inn Hotel Bar! This place would appeal to those who like tacky gimmicks and aren’t too choosy about their meals. I had a Cheese burger and fries . Nothing fancy. Small patty on a large bun. Fries where okay. Nothing special. I figured that for $ 9.00 a patty you’d get at least 8 oz. Nope. I only went because I had a Groupon coupon. Their ice cream sandwiches are also waaaay over priced. $ 7.00! They are the size of an oatmeal cookie and initially hard as a rock because their frozen. Skip the gimmicks and fanfare and find a local diner. You’ll do better.

The burgers were great, very disappointed with the service. The waiter kept asking us if we were done with our meal while we still have the burger in our hands. Rushing us to pay the bill, cause he wanted to close out … Would I go back doubt it very much ! Heard people raving over the burger bistro. Very disappointed…

BURGERS. Juicy. Rich. Smoky. This is the burger bistro where flavor, technique, BURGERS matter. The style of selection though familiar, was unexpected in this land back, lounge like atmosphere(take a date there, score some points with your partner). Type of burger, classic beef, first time there, I wasn’t going to go crazy but there is tuna steak and lamb I’m looking at for next time. Toppings, bacon, there’s like 8 types of cheese I went with bold gruyère, lettuce tomato onion is free so you know you knock those off, but my girl got the caramelized onions because she has style. Buns, like 6 buns or coverage options I should say from brioche to lettuce, I took the potato bun because that’s near and dear to childhood for me. The burger comes out, great presentation, someone put respect for burgers on my plate and it was 100% in the taste. Oh, and forget any other drink on there, go with the Arnold Palmer, that was IT. WILLRETURN.

The service is great. Love the Banksy Art. Kids loved their beef burgers and fries. I enjoyed the tuna burger & chips.

LOVE this place! The buffalo tater tots are delicious, and I’m a huge fan of their veggie burgers with spicy mayo. The only reason this doesn’t get five stars is because it is a bit expensive for what you’re getting, BUT it’s so good that it’s worth it! Overall a delicious casual restaurant to fill your craving for a burger and fries.

Went here for a burger for the first time this past week. I had the lunch special a burger and a side for $ 11. Pretty good deal for parkslope. Menu is small and self explanatory. Service was okay. The burger was very good though, I would go back.

I haven’t come back for a while, and was so sad to see that they took away some of the things that I love about this place. Like, YOUCAN’T TAKEAWAYSOMETHINGGOODONCEYOU’VEGIVENITTOUS! :( So there used to be a free ice cream sandwich for this location when you checked in on Unilocal.NOMORE! There used to be the option of getting a portobello mushroom for your topping. NOMORE! Now it’s just measly, regular sized mushrooms. They used to offer seasoned fries as a side for the lunch special. NOMORE! It’s now regular fries or no fries :( However, I think they added a whole lot more options for the burger. I don’t remember what they are though, because I usually just get beef or veggie. This time I got a beef burger(medium well) with gouda, mushrooms, lettuce, and tomato with tots. My boyfriend got a beef burger(medium rare) with pepper jack, bacon, lettuce, and tomato with frizzled onions. My genius idea was that one of us should get the frizzled onions so we could use that to put in our burgers so we got TWO toppings! Frizzled onions is actually one of their topping options. Anyway, the burgers were delicious! Juicy and just the right amount of fat. So satisfying.

Ok so heres the deal. I eat here, often. Turkey burgers are really good and make it into the weekly rotation. The buffalo tatter tots are delicious(if you like blue cheese) and the desserts are fun. All this being said, prices are a bit too high. If everything on the menu came down 1 – 3 $ this would become my favorite place, but as things stands I have a love/hate relationship. They do have frequent ways to save money: scratch card discounts, receipts with 15% off, and a lunch special(that I have never made it to), all of which make things bearable.

Based off my own personal experience with this place, I wouldn’t recommend their delivery service to anyone. You’re better off with pickup because it will be much faster to walk there and pick up your food than to have them deliver it to your door. I kid you not, after numerous orders for delivery I learned the hard way that it was better to walk the 8 min walk to their restaurant than to wait 2 hours or more in order to have your food delivered to your door. Don’t get me wrong, their delivery service might not be the best, but at least the ingredients they use are fresh, unique, and are of good quality.

Atmosphere is cozy with great music and good vibe. The burgers were the best I’ve had in the area with lots of great toppings to choose from. Because it’s custom build you can get the exact bun, cheese, toppings that you desire. Great fries, tater tots and the onion rings are homemade. I love burgers and eat them often and haven’t found a better one in the hood. As for price it is comparable to the price of any quality burger around town.

Ok, lets get these things straight about this place: $$$$ — $ 9 for buffalo tater tots is a lot(which hasn’t stopped me from going 4x) Their bacon is slightly less processed bacon bits and the reality is, there are better burgers for better prices elsewhere. I know the neighborhood is enamored with it but, eh…

Four stars just because of the snicker doodle ice cream sandwich. This has been the highlight of my NYC trip thus far. I wish I could take a dozen of these back home with me. I also had a beef burger with smoked Gouda, grilled onions and candied bacon. The bacon wasn’t candied in my opinion. It was just a basic thick circular cut. The tots were spot on with the perfect amount of crispiness.

Stopped in for a late meal. We shared bistro chips, which had a slightly burnt, carbon taste, but were otherwise good, topped with bleu cheese and crispy bacon crumbles, and fries, which were crispy, hot, and salted. Neither of us could have finished the starter or side by ourselves and we have big appetites, so sharing is advisable. As for the burger, it was okay. It was exactly as ordered but there was nothing special about it. My partner, who piled on more toppings than I did, said the same. One thing: I didn’t expect to have either a $ 1.50 topping/sauce or no sauce at all — I expected there would be some sort of default, and there wasn’t. Some alcoholic drinks or adding one of the toppings/sauces might have pushed it over the edge to a good burger for me. We also shared an ice cream sandwich — free with the Unilocal check-in — the Snickerdoodle/cinnamon ice cream. It was okay. We will probably try other burger places before we come back to this one.

Prepare yourself for one of the most unique, delicious burgers you have ever had. I purchased a groupon for here a while back and finally got around to checking it out. My only regret is I didn’t try it sooner. The advertisement they have on Unilocal is a picture of a doughnut bunned burger. Obviously needed to try this. When were seated I noticed that the doughnut bun was not on the menu… my heart sank. I called over the waiter who informed me they do have it but it is not listed on the menu and unfortunately they had sold out today… BUT! He asked if I would like them to send there driver to go picked some up. My speechless wanting stare was enough for him. About10−15 minutes later the doughnuts arrived and we were graces with this salty delectable masterpiece. I ordered mine with a beef patty, cheese and bacon lettuce and tomatoe. I would not suggest putting too many toppings on this burger because the doughnut is not really sturdy enough to withstand the immense force of more heavy duty topics such as an egg or avocado for example. Stick with the basics here are you will be rewarded graciously. I know what you might be thinking. But this this was awesome the sweetness of the doughnut coupled with the saltiness of the burger and bacon was unlike anything I had before. Believe it or not the burger doesn’t come off as too greasy as you might expect. The beef is fairly lean which balances the burger out perfectly. I recommend the sweet potatoe fries which are deserving of there own in depth review. They are double battered to create this perfect crunchy exterior that’s a must try. To top everything off, if you check in you can get a free icecream sandwich. At this point you may have already hit your weekly calorie limit but why the heck not. I enjoyed this more because I had a groupon but could see it beeing a tad too expensive if you paid full price but the atmosphere and staff are well above average. Try it!

This is a review for lunch. 3.5 for the burger /4 for service and price After walking by this place for years now, and seeing their«Zagat best burger» sign, finally gave in and went with the $ 11 lunch special(side, burger, and extra topping) with some coworkers. What made the experience was the server. Very friendly and patient as we navigated the many configuration options(they have plastic coated menus that you use a marker on to select every single possible option). I went with the beef burger with blue cheese, crunchy onions(that was my free topping) and then all the always free toppings(onion, etc) and for my side got the salad. The portions size was excellent, and while the burger was good, it certainly wasn’t the best I have had(Minetta, Keens, and the Piggy at DBGB). Still, for $ 11 I wasn’t complaining and would probably go back for lunch. My friends opted for the $ 4 upcharge for the Kobe beef and said it was very good. They also gain points for actually having a Unilocal check in offer(been about a year since I have found a place offering anything more than a «high five from barista» which is what Brooklyn Kolache Company does). Free ice cream sandwich(typ$ 7) if you check in. Not too shabby.

I’ve been to the Burger Bistro twice. Once with a friend for dinner and once for a solo late lunch. They offer a luck special from 11−4pm. The offer includes a burger with one topping, one cheese, and a side for $ 11. During my most recent visit I was greeted by an awesome server. He was super friendly and speedy. It wasn’t very crowded when I arrived but it started to fill up as the hour went on. I ordered a simple burger with a side of tots. I also got a side of chipotle mayo for dipping. The chipotle mayo was super super spicy but still tasty. Since I checked in on Unilocal I was able to finish my meal with a complimentary ice cream sandwich. I chose the oatmeal cookie with vanilla ice cream. The manager stopped over to check on me while I was eating which I know is not uncommon but he just seemed super genuine. His smile alone made me want to come back in the future.

I’m envious of the photos I’ve seen posted. My burger looked nothing like these burgers. My friend got sick twice in the bathroom. I didn’t even finish my tater tots… god, I love tater tots. Was it an off day? Was it the TIME of day? I’m not sure. All I know is that $ 45 dollars later, half of our meal was in the NYC sewer system and the other half missing off the plate.

Burgers were amaaaazing here. Seriously one of the best places to grab a burger in park slope. Why the 3 stars? Because of the service. Came here with a really confusing Groupon(it says 2 groupons for $ 14– when I called, they said we could use both groupons upon dining in) and the waitress Irene was rude and did not explain it to us well, right away she said we couldn’t use it and I was confused as to why we were not able to use the groupons there. The manager then came by, and said they had to honor it– he was friendly and handled the situation well. But as we were leaving Irene handed us the bill with the discount highlighted but didn’t notify us that we were able to use only one until I came back and questioned the receipt. She was rude and snappy with me and I couldn’t understand why she couldn’t have nicely explained to us why only one groupon was used. Needless to say, my boyfriend had a regular beef burger with jalapenos and a fried egg and it was amazing. When ordered medium, it was brought to the table as medium. The burger was juicy and HUGE(not a measly whimpy burger– like some of these other burger joints in park slope) on a potato bun– not toasted. Delisssh. We also got a side of tater tots, which was a mountainous size of tots! I’m happy this place isn’t stingy with their portions. I tried one of the veggie patties– which I don’t recommend. It was similar to a frozen veggie patty you could just heat up and not worth the trip to burger bistro for. Will be returning for the use of my second groupon but the whole groupon situation definitely turned both my boyfriend and I off.

I was sold when I heard BUFFALOTOTS! They are a must have!!! So delish, not too spicy. For the burger, I ordered Kobe beef medium rare with pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapeños, lettuce and tomatoes. My burger came out to be medium well so it was a tad dry for my liking. The shredded lettuce is what you would get in a taco not a burger, so I wasn’t too satisfy with that. The brioche wasn’t toasted… Free ice cream sandwich at this location when you check in on Unilocal! So make sure you do that :)
