Okayso(SnapJudgmentvoice.) The«Ginifer Grey» is the most delicious alcoholic beverage on the planet. I have no idea why Lopi hasn’t received an award for inventing it yet. Earl grey infused gin, earl grey syrup, lemon. Amazing. I want buckets of this at every important, celebratory event in my lifetime. I stopped by here a few weeks ago and tried it; came back last night with a slew of friends to prove that I had, indeed, found something amazing. Big shout out to Lopi for being so gracious and giving us all the details on his gin-infusion secrets! (Also, those TOTS.) Just go.

Pork slope is awesome for two reasons — They’ve got board games, and the fact that they’re called Pork Slope. But as far as awesomeness goes, that’s pretty much about it. Everyone talks about the burger and chicken & waffles, but both were meh. The burger was nothing special, and the waffles weren’t particularly good. The Poutine was the favorite, but practically by default. That’s not to say I wouldn’t return, however – I always welcome kick-bar bars with beer(I DID like the Pork Slope ale), board games, and basketball games on.

Love the funky hipster atmosphere. Long bar with plenty of seats and who doesn’t love talking to the bartender? I had the pulled pork sandwich and a side of coleslaw. The sandwich was perfection. Had the right amount of everything– meat, sauce, bun– everything! Sorry, but the coleslaw was a Fail. Just shredded cabbage and mayo. Not enough for me not come here again. I just won’t order the coleslaw. I’m coming back!

A casual bar with excellent food. My boyfriend and I started with a small order of the nachos, which were fantastic, more than enough for two people. There were plenty of toppings that no chips were dry. For our meals we both had the pulled pork sandwiches. They were piled high with meat, and moist enough from the generous topping of barbecue sauce. My boyfriend tends to need more sauce, but he didn’t need to add any. The fries were hand cut, and you could tell they were fresh. I took away one star because it was a little loud. It was hard to carry on a conversation. We also had to wait about 20 minutes after we finished eating for our server to return to give us our check.

It’s loud. Service is not always great. But some of the menu items have been consistently good for the duration. I love the filet o fish and the tater tots. The frozen drinks, espcecially the John Daley, are tasty. Seems like a lot of the reviews expect more than the place really seems to promise to me. Who needs a «Top Chef» to turn this out? It’s bar food. Not everything needs to be an exquisite dining experience. I would be giving one more star, but the prices here are a bit ridculous. $ 15 for 6 shrimp? $ 18 for nachos(albeit a big mound of them, but of really inexpensive ingredients)?

I love Pork Slope, the staff are great and the vibe is chill but the owners just don’t seem to care anymore. It breaks my heart to say that as I have been coming here since they first opened. They used to try new menu items and mix it up. There has not been any new items in a long time. The only new addition to the menu recently have been higher prices. While select food items are good and worth it some are just not edible or not worth the price. Especially since they raised prices again. $ 18 for a large nachos that are cold? How can you justify that price? No thanks. $ 16 for Breakfast Burrito? Really? The large wings cost $ 16, are soggy and frankly the worst I have ever had. To be fair they have always been bad. Please start frying them and making them crispy. In the meantime just go to Bonnie’s Grill across the street for wings. It’s not all bad. The Burger with fries for $ 12 is delicious and worth the price. It feels like Pork Slope’s owners are making loyal customers pay the price for their other failing ventures. My advice? Come for the drinks and whiskey after eating someplace else. In the meantime get your stuff together Pork Slope. You used to be great.

I went here for dinner years ago, got the kale salad and was very impressed. Two years later for brunch — not so much. Part of this is probably my expectations based on the concept of «brunch» — aside from a few egg dishes there isn’t much on the menu that’s particularly breakfasty. But I was particularly sad that they don’t offer the kale salad or anything else fresh/green for brunch, aside from a few veggie sides(coleslaw etc.). In any case, I wasn’t in the mood for eggs that day and my only other option was basically fried meat. Fine, I can get on board with a fried chicken sandwich — but not when the chicken is micro and overwhelmed by its bun. In the times of Fuku, Pork Slope just didn’t cut it. Bloody marys were decent(and the cocktail options were plentiful) though, and service was very good. Since they show sports maybe save this for when you a want a nice place to watch the game/eat fried food?

Let me preface by saying I’m not a fan of BBQ. Pork slope as only pork slope has changed that. Their pulled pork sandwich on texas toast is the perfect combination of sweet, savory and spicy. Note that it is cash only and they’ve increased their prices on sandwiches a bit. I’m not complaining because they now come with a side and their tater tots and cornbread are also to die for. Oh. And te Bloody Mary. Okay, I’m done! Just try it, you won’t be disappointed.

I had loved it here a few years ago when I lived in Park Slope, so I was pretty excited to come back– maybe it was my excitement that made it such a let down. The place looks like it always has, a little divey, but welcoming. You order at the bar — and then take your number and the food is delivered. We ordered the bacon mac and cheese, collared greens, a cheeseburger, and a pitcher of beer. The bacon mac and cheese was ok– not as creamy as I would like — but it had a lot of bacon. The collards were pretty inedible –they were soggy drenched in sugar vinegar. The cheeseburger– this is actually what was the most annoying– was the tiniest slider slide cheeseburger I have ever seen for $ 11 with no side. The flavor was nothing to write home about. We mentioned to the waitress that this was the tiniest burger we ever saw– and she said it was a ½ pound– which had to be a blatant lie — or maybe someone forgot to put the rest of the burger on the plate. It might have been a ½ pound including the plate, buns, cheese, and fork. Overall, terribly disappointing :(Won’t be back.

Man oh man. I grew up on the loaded«super nachos» from a hole-in-the-wall place in my Southern California hometown, and before I met the Pork Slope nachos, I thought nothing could ever replace those in my heart. I was wrong. These nachos are bangin’. Get them with pulled pork on top — totally changes the game. I can’t recommend it enough. The kale salad, bacon mac and cheese, and tater tots are all just as good. I liked the cheeseburger fine, but there are other burgers in New York I’d order before this one. The beer menu is pretty great as well. My boyfriend and I have made this place our go-to Friday night date spot. Not feeling anything else? Pork Slope. No plans with friends? Pork Slope. This will inevitably have a disastrous effect on our waistlines if we keep it up, but oh man, it’s worth it.

What happened? A year or so ago, Pork Slope was a 4-star joint, but I hate to say has now become a shadow of its former self. It used to have fantastic bad-for-you-but-creative-and-super-tasty food, along with a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere, good beer and whiskey selection(pretty good cocktails too) and sports on the tube if you’re into that. The vibe and the drinks are still there, but what the hell happened to the food? I used to come here once every few weeks for a delicious brisket sandwich(sadly no longer on the menu) or loaded nachos(used to be great, now meh), but each of the last 3 – 4 times I’ve dropped in(I kept wanting to give it another chance!), the food was totally mediocre — very disappointing compared to what they used to serve up, and definitely not worth the price. I could be wrong, but it just seems like they’ve started using cheaper, lower quality ingredients which is a shame. Sadly, I think I’m done with this place, there’s just so much other better food in the neighborhood now.

Really fun place. Had the margarita slushie and it was really yummy. Waited about 30 min for a table but we had a large party so that’s not so bad. Ordered the Mac and cheese and shrimp in chili sauce. The Mac was ok nothing special and the shrimp were spicy but delicious. Also had the pulled pork sandwich with tots. Food was overall ok. Music was great and service was good too. They also have a bunch of board games to keep you busy but they really should get some new ones because a bunch of pieces were missing. I’d come back here though.

Was on my list for a long time to try. Verdict: Was really good not earth shattering. Tater Tots, nice, crispy and good. MacnCheese with bacon, really good flavor, nice cheese blend. Collards were nice, but really vinegar-y Mixed drinks were lovely. As i said, not earth shattering. If i’m in the neighborhood I’d go but not going to seek it out again.

If you really want to hate yourself – yet simultaneously feel so good after a meal – this is the answer to your carb itch. This is this sinful(though not necessarily the be-all and end-all) meal you want to wait all week to pig out for. We started with the Loaded Nachos and it was quite a mean nacho platter – lots’a cheese, tomatoes, and jalapeño peppers(even though I hate them). This should be on everyone’s table if they come here to dine. I had the Porky Melt and was excited to try it since I’ve heard apparently good things about it. I felt like the sandwich was way too saturated with fat and had a strange taste to it… like it was spoiled meat. The toast was dry, so it already made the sandwich a lot less enjoyable. The fries also had a strange, sourish smell to it, but they actually tasted like normal fries, though not too crispy. Love the dingy, run-of-the-mill, yet neighborly feel of the place – and it certainly shows to be a sports bar – good for the bar, not the food.

First off, I can’t resist a good pun. Pork Slope is definitely a good pun, with good sandwiches to back it up. Love the fact that it is open late, too. We came here late on Saturday(or early Sunday, depending on how you want to think of your days), stumbling over from a nearby apartment party. The theme of the night was college nostalgia, and late night food runs are certainly a huge part of college partying, so we had to keep it authentic. The place was fairly empty by the time we got there, but the service was prompt and quick. They have a no frills menu, but tons and tons of options for sides with your sandwiches. Definitely worth a star in and of itself. I ordered their standard pork sandwich, which comes on rye. With it, I ordered tater tots. Good tots. Not too greasy, and perfectly fried. My boyfriend was ambitious and got the Mother Porker, which comes with a fried egg and bacon on top of everything else… With the most amazing collard greens. They were in this amazing vinegar-y sauce, and I couldn’t stop eating his side instead of my own. I couldn’t finish an entire sandwich, but what I did have was good. Pulled pork was done well, with a nice BBQ sauce. I didn’t think to add the cheese this time, but could absolutely see how that would take the sandwich to the next level. Otherwise, it was not dream-about-later great, but something I would probably get again if I happened to be in the area. The bar area itself also looked like a fun place to hang out.

YUM. I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could eat more food. But I guess that just means I’ll have to come back soon :) Pulled Pork Sandwich with Tater Tots(and cheese on top, because of course). My boyfriend and I sat, ordered, and finished our meal in about 20 minutes. It was THAT good. The pulled pork was juicy and flavorful and the bread was perfect for pulling it all together. It’s even better with the BBQ sauce or hot sauce that they have on the side! The tots looked beautiful and tasted perfect. They had that crunch to them, but they were still warm and potato-y on the inside. The cheese on top is a must! We also had the Jell-O shots here, and they are probably my favorites ever. I wish I savored it more so I could give a better description, but they were gooooood. It’s very casual in here, and everyone is friendly. You can really have a conversation with them! Our waters were always refilled and the bathroom was pretty clean. Talde, you’ve done it again. BONUS: board games and brunch. Yes.

Expensive. $ 15 for 12 wings Meh. $ 15 sandwiches. Cold hot dogs. Meh. Nachos. The epitome of meh. $ 20 for two hotdogs, a handful of nachos, and a pitcher of beer is not a deal. This is one of those places that everyone comes to and wants to try but it’s just totally disappointing. You’ll spend a bunch of money on things you could have found at the corner store and eaten on the way over. Go elsewhere.

Comfort food at its finest located right in Park Slope. This area is filled with fine dining, great food, and personable eateries that make competition a big issue. Yet this place excels with its unique bbq comfort food, fun atmosphere and a killer menu If you’re looking for comfort food. Go here. I love the sandwiches, the tots and the drinks there.

So, the menu seems to have changed this year or last year at some point. Goodbye, delicious brisket sandwich. The only sandwich I’m ordering from here now is the Mother Porker(so worth the extra $ 3 above the Porky Melt for all the excellent ingredient additions) with a pint of Pork Slope Ale. The collards are fine but not really up to snuff if you’re Southern. Please bring back some of the earlier menu items! Just look at the menu Mike C. posted if you want to know what you’re missing out on(do you?). Kenny C. already alluded to the semi off-menu options. You can add pulled pork to your tots or make them ‘loaded’ aka turn them into tot-chos with all of the ingredients from the Loaded Nachos, but on a bed of tots on a cafeteria tray. So worth it. This place is still great for late nights. Service has always been slow but friendly for me. And their delivery from Seamless has historically arrived much quicker than anticipated. So yeah, it’s ok but no longer a standout.

Nice little stripped down joint in Park Slope — something you can’t say you find in that neighborhood. I met a buddy for a beer and a sandwich after work. First, the house ale is delicious and definitely worth a try. At 6:45pm it wasn’t crowded at all on a Wednesday, frankly it was a little dead which was welcome. We both got the Mother Porker sandwich. The name … couldn’t stop laughing to myself. The taste … phenomenal. I think the fried egg really kicked it up a notch. Our bartenders were super attentive and nice, nothing pretentious about this place. I definitely recommend for a happy hour after work. Really enjoyed it and was one of the few places in the Slope that wasn’t crawling with children.

Life is full of regrets. One of my more recent ones was waiting so long to get to Pork Slope. Not because the food was life-changing, but because the menu was recently changed. No longer do they have the brisket sandwich or the ribs that they were once known for. Our server told us they stopped doing the brisket because it took too much time. No idea why they stopped with the ribs. To quote Kevin Sorbo in Hercules, «disappointed!» Anyway, we ordered the tater tots(and added pulled pork, which is a secret option, shhh). The pulled pork was kinda lukewarm and didn’t add too much, sadly. For my main, I had the mother porker sandwich with a side of smoky collards. The collards were really sweet and at the same time way too vinegar-y. The sandwich was good, despite not looking very appealing at all. Went really well with the table hot sauce. All in all, I wish they would bring the old menu back, because Pork Slope feels like a shell of what it could be. I hope you’re listening, Dale. Because later on this week I gave you more money by going to Talde. That review is forthcoming…
