Wow I have never seen such unprofessional barbers in my life, and I have gone to many barbershops all over Brooklyn from Flatbush to sunset. I don’t think they lack skill, but their lack of manners completely over powers their skill. These assholes will completely ignore you when you walk in, not even a head nod. You can sit on the waiting chair the entire day and I’m pretty sure none of these jerks will say a word to you. And when you finally feel disrespected enough to say hey can someone cut my hair these losers just keep ignoring you and say no. Please if your reading this go to the barbershop I go to. It’s literally 5 min away from this fucked up place and you will not regret it. My Barbers name is Jake and the Babershop is called Benny’s barbershop they can do all kinds of cuts from old classic to modern day styles. STAYAWAYFROMTHESEASSHOLES, save yourself some pride and spend your money where it deserves to be spent. Btw I was turned away by the dude with all of the tattoos(dickhead) and the guy who looks like DJ Khalid without the money(nes). PS. Fuck this place

Go to this place when no other options are available Upon first visit, I was the only one in the shop. I greeted everyone and say down to wait till the barbers were ready. Little did I know, I would be ignored while these so called barbers checked their phones and gossiped about women. Most of the people leaving the shop sported rushed, bad haircuts. Sometimes success is a bad thing… Things have gotten really busy at this shop and the stress shows. If you’re a regular at least you can make an appointment and avoid the mayhem. Please read the newer reviews to get an idea of what to expect.

My barber from here moved a week before my wedding. I had known that he was planning on moving for sometime, but I didn’t realize that he was going to be leaving the shop. I had been telling him for months about the wedding and when I was planning on coming in for it. However, I found that out this detail a few days before my wedding which caused some stress but worked out in the long run.

If you like waiting for a really long time, being ignored, getting skipped in line, and experiencing general disrespect and lack of attention at your weekly haircut… go here. Otherwise…you might want to try a different shop. (King of Kings in Sunset or Benny’s just up 5th Ave are both good options.)

I just moved to the neighborhood and needed a new barber. Thanks to Unilocal I found this cool spot right around the corner from my house. Place is clean, staff is very friendly and my Barber(MB. Bignest) gave me a great cut. Oh and did I mention how friendly they are?!? They told me about all the great stuff to do in Park Slope, which is extremely nice. I’ve never had a barber be so informative. Price is great and you won’t be disappointed. I will be back! Thanks guys!

same feedback as other negative users. Long long waits. They do great cuts but about half the time I can’t deal with the wait and end up just having to leave with no cut. If you have no job and can hang out all day waiting then this place is great. They don’t open util112pm and always I try to arrive as close to possible to 12pm and still end up waiting. This last experience was my last time: Arrived at 12:15pm. There was only one barber and he was cutting somebody’s hair. 1 other customer in front of me in line. About 12:30 the 2nd barber came in and sat down to eat his b’fast for about 20 minutes. by 12:30 the 1st haircut was done but instead of seating either of the 2 of us waiting he seated his buddy who had just walked in. Really? I walked out at this point. I mean who has an hour to wait before even getting seated especially when the shop isn’t even busy. I ended up at George’s barbershop further down 5th ave and due to its great Unilocal reviews. I got seated right away and got a great shape up for a awesome price with friendly service. Highly recommended Slope Barbershop really needs to work on their lack of friendly service. They only people they even say hi to are their buddys that hang out there. Great cuts but not worth it if they even want to expand the customer base past their friends.

Came in 3 times. 1st time– after waiting an hour, guy with dreads closest to door and the guy next to him(light skinned, slender, shorter) said they were full with appointments and didnt take walk ins. Would have been nice to know 2nd time– got a really good shape up from the guy named Nestor. He even gave me cream to help with razor bumps 3rd time(and the time i decided i was never going back) it was new years eve around 4p. i knew it would be busy. it was pretty packed, about 10 guys ahead of me. i thought«oh great» but i wanted to look good for the party so i waited and waited and waited the guy with dreads stopped to sit down and eat and the other guy left for 20 mins to smoke a cigarette… WITH A FULLSHOPOFPEOPLEWAITINGTOGETCUT. so only 2 barbers, really busy day, and nobody is cutting. unproffesional, lazy, and ill take my money and business elsewhere, which is truly a shame as there are not many Black barber shops in Park Slope

Took my toddler here for his first haircut and the staff made him feel very comfortable, the second time I went he actually say very quietly and got an awesome cut. This will be the place where I take him for now on.

Only been here once, but I plan on going back. My haircut is always a simple #2 on the sides fade with a trim on the top and yet not everyone can get it just right. But I was very impressed with the cut I got upon my first visit and am confident this will be my go-to barber shop moving forward.
