Really good Classic Chinese takeout. Great egg foo young. Friendly staff. The sign out front says it’s called Food Lin not C & Y tho, don’t know what that’s about.

The food was good. The apple sticks were yummy, definitely a hit at my house. The sweet and sour chicken was good too. I don’t recall the other dishes we ordered, but it was all good. We’ll order from C and Y again.

This is our neighborhood go-​to place, and it never disappoints. Delivery is fast and courteous. Boneless spare ribs, scallion pancakes, chicken and broccoli are all always good. It is a really clean place too.

Was looking for good fried wings. Asked for them to be fried soft with lite salt pepper and scallions. Wings were hard as a rock. So small. Lacked in flavor. Was offered salt and pepper on the side. Not even napkins in the bag. Won’t go here again :(

Food Lin is an above average chinese joint in park slope and still manages to be decently priced. They have a decent chicken w/​broccoli and a better sweet & sour chicken. Guy at the register is always chill. These guys were one of the few businesses that were open on the night of superstorm Sandy. Props for that. Otherwise I would’ve went hungry.

These guys are really solid. I’ve always been pleased here since moving to this hood about a year ago. Broccoli with garlic sauce or black bean sauce, dumplings, good chow fun, bok choy. They’re efficient and accommodating, and the environment always seems to be busy and clean. Tasty, consistent, reasonably priced.

(Note to any haters: I give this five stars for a cheap takeout Chinese takeout place.)
C And Y has a very large menu with lots of vegetarian options. I had General Tso’s Vegetarian Chicken ($ 7.25), which comes with rice and some hidden sprigs of broccoli. Despite being marked spicy, the meal was pretty tame; I’ll ask for deathly-​inferno hot next time and see what happens. Anyway, it was tasty, prepared quickly, and exactly what I was craving. The cooks are nice.
Best of all, this is one of those elusive takeout spots with many tables in front that no one uses unless they’re waiting for their order, so you can sit down to read a book or people-​watch on 5th Ave.

Perfect fast chinese delivery in Park/​South Slope. The person who answers the phone is nice, friendly and they know your details when you call from your usual number.
C&Y or Food Lin (whatever its name is) has combination plates too if you want a little bit of everything. Prices are great and I’m always surprised at how fast the delivery shows up. It’s not gourmet, but it sates your chinese food fix without making you feel like you drank a gallon of oil.

Good food after a hot few hours relaxing in Prospect Park. Its a far walk in the heat, especially after walking to another restaurant prior (which was overpriced). This place was cheap & yummy! Will come back if I’m in the area again

My buddy and I got delivery from here and in his last bite from his eggplant w/​garlic sauce he bit into a staple. Gross! So unfortunate, was looking forward to finding a good Chinese place in this new hood of mine. :(

I’m a regular at this spot.
The awesome, friendly and personable guy that runs it has my order down. He’s great.
They have tons of vegetarian choices, and make a bang-​up soy chicken with broccoli.
Along with Hunan Delight this is probably one of the better chinese spots in the Slope.

One of the best take out restaurants in the area for sure. Food is clean and folks are helpful and friendly.
It just moved across the street from the old place. The new place is clean and honestly make a good dating spot. Funny to bring a date to a Chinese fast food take out but hey! something new to spice up any girl’s life.
We have them catered our dinner party and there isn’t any problem.

Why do restaurants have different names on their signage? Is it Food Lin or C & Y Chinese Restaurant? I mean I know that when you’re running a cash business you want to evade income taxes but you make it hard for a Unilocaler to review your business dontcha know. Well regardless of what they’re named, they serve up some pretty good Chinese take out, rivaling my other go-​to place across the street — only with a newer (cleaner) kitchen. Brown rice without an extra charge is always a great plus.
