Simply put, the best woodworking tool merchant in the greater metropolitan area, if not the country. I have never been anything but completely stoked with their products. Thee guys are reintroducing quality hand tools into the marketplace; they design and build them from scratch.

This place is heaven for the hand tool woodworker. They carry an odd mix of hand tools and Festool power tools. The low tech and the high tech at the same time. I’ve done business with Joel and his company for about 10 years now and have never been disappointed. Not everything they carry can be considered practical in price. But everything they carry is the best! If you are in the NYC area, go to their location. It’s a warehouse, so don’t expect fancy show room, just expect great tools. If your not in the NYC area, then they have a website. I like these guys!

Hands down my favorite online and retail tool store. I have never been disappointed with a tool I’ve bought from them.

For the very finest in woodworking tools. They have wood planes, measuring devices, vises, holdfasts, hammers and mallets, rasps and files, chisels, saws, sharpening equipment, scrapers, carving tools, books, and amazing imported and locally produced tools of the highest quality including the full line of Gramercy tools and Festool power tools. Their staff is super knowledgable and friendly. They can demo any piece of equipment they stock, bringing intimate knowledge of the work piece to a table for you to try out on a piece of wood. Buy it and not happy? Bring it back. The only downside, and it’s not really their fault, is that this place is truly a wharehouse. This is where they house all their goods for the internet site for shipping, so it’s a little quasi-retail/wharehousey. Parking is also a pain. when you get to the building they are on the fifth floor in the back on the left. The floors aren’t numbered, and although it’s a pain I would suggest walking the stairs because the elevator takes forever.
