Great place for model trains. Always have what I am looking for. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Built my Kato collection thanks to Trainworld. Also, when I visit my sister in Malverne, I must take the bus over to spend time and money at Trainland. Always worth the experience. Highly recommend.

There aren’t many stores like this left, and it’s a pleasure just to walk inside and look around. I don’t collect electric trains or anything like that, but this is just a really fun store to visit.

Came here yesterday, finally! I think I know where to go now if I need everything locomotives and passenger cars and tracks, etc! They don’t quite have everything in the world if you’re looking for something very very specific, but for the average model railroader, they’re great! It’s very conveniently located, right underneath the F train Ditmas Avenue station.

Can you say choking on cigarette smoke? Every time I come here, workers in the store are smoking. The employees not only reek of cigarettes, they smoke in the store. When I approached the girl in front about it, she denied it, went whispering around to her coworkers and then proceeded to hose the place down with air freshener. Can’t bring my little one in there anymore because of this. It’s really a shame because they have a nice selection of trains.

Train World is a great place to shop for trains! Im an avid model railroader and I find the prices to be fantastic!!! Great knowledgeable and friendly staff! As someone who has been modeling and purchasing thousands of dollars worth of trains over the last ten years, I find prices here to be the lowest around the east coast. A great place to visit and shop any time of the year. I highly recommend Train World to the serious train hobbiest and to the complete novice.

I really love this store. It brings to mind a time when Soda Shoppes and horse drawn carriages still exist. It is an old-​fashioned toy store where they sell model trains. These models are made to the t. Great place to go during the holiday season; it’ll get you in the mood for snowball fights and hot cocoa.

A nice store for model trains and accessories. Have to watch your prices though — they can be a bit on the expensive side. You can easily kill an hour or two in here, and the staff is pretty helpful and friendly.
