I did not understand the hype over this place. My uncle had his birthday here, and honestly, nobody enjoyed that night. The service was very slow and inattentive. I understand that it is really busy, but still, try to apologize and make the customers feel as if they are important and you remember about them. There was no wardrobe, so everybody who sat on the couches had to be pushed into each other because of all the space that the costs took. The music was redundantly loud: I could not even speak to the person who was sitting right next to me. And this place is Russian– oriented, thus it has to accommodate the elderly. Now, the food. All the salads and appetizers were very plain: they lacked flavor, seasoning and originality. Same was for everything else. The only good dishes were the pickles(watermelon especially) and the Lula-kebabs. In general, meat also lacked flavor. Overall, I left the party earlier because it became simply impossible to bear.

Went there for grandmother’s 87th birthday and while the food was pretty good, the portions were very small and they left out two dishes from the package we bought. They were more concerned about closing the place down then provide good service. I guess they dont want money. Won’t be booking any occasions there. Plenty of other places to go to around here.

The décor is nice and the service isn’t bad but could be a little better. Our waiter didn’t check on us so much and we waited a little while for the check. I’ve tried all the different kebabs and my favorite were the shrimp kebabs! Food is fresh and tasty. My parents order from here all the time and the food is always arrives promptly and hot. I will continue to eat here.

Great atmosphere and service is on point, nice touch with the Tablet Menus, food is also pretty good and the pricing is not bad… The only thing that I was not feeling was their pilaf. Considering it’s their national dish you should be on point with that particular dish and it was just ok. I will be back to try other things on the menu.

I came into the restaurant to order takeout I was greeted very friendly, they told me would take about 15 minutes to get the food since it was a very simple order. I came back in 45 minutes later to pick up the food they told me it’s going to take another 6 minutes to make, 10 minutes later I came in to find out about the food they told me another 5 minutes… The manager looked at me like I was weird for asking how come it’s taking one hour to make food and it’s chicken kebab it usually takes time to make he responded. by the customer service I don’t even know how the food would have taste. Not a place where I want to spend my money…

Taking a star off. The food is still good — no complaints here. However they seriously jacked up the prices on grubhub as means of getting people to order from their site. That’s fine and it makes business sense, but unfortunately I’ve had issues trying to order from it twice. Both times I’ve given up and ordered elsewhere. Looking for another decent kebab option that will deliver. A shame because I used to order a delivery 2x a week…

Since my parents are from Azerbaijan, i’m familiar with most of Tsob Tsobe food. I would like to recommend a few dishes that i’ve tried: — Potato with mushroom — Dumpling soup dushbara — Uzbek pilaf *I have to mention that when they just opened, the dish was bigger then it is now /: — Beef tenderloin and Lamb chops kebab. Stuff is pleasant. The restaurant is clean, nice décor.

I was at this restaurant for the birthday party celebration — there was a «banquet» preordered, so I don’t know all the names of the dishes but I’ll try to describe them. The décor of the restaurant is pretty nice, there are pictures of goats on every wall. The tables were set up for banquet when we arrived. All the staff at the restaurant were extremely nice and helpful. The appetizers that I tried were the following: — fish cold cuts — smoked salmon and 2 kinds of white fish. All of them were really good — meat cold cuts — one of them looked like dry meat — it was very tasty. There was also ham or bacon served that I didn’t try — liver pâté was great, but it wasn’t as delicate as fois gras — tomato/cucumber salad — I love cucumbers so I went for it. The dressing was very plain — pickled grapes/tomatoes — these were ok as well. It was my first time to try pickled grapes and it was a great combination of sweet and pickle taste. — thee were also several salads with mayo — I believe one of them had greens and beef tongue and the other one had pineapples, but I haven’t tried them. The combination of ingredients didn’t seem appealing to me. For entrees we had kebabs — these were good. I expected lamb kebab to be a little more juicy, but it was ok. Ground beef kebab was not impressive. Chicken was ok. Salmon entrée with mashed potato patties was also ok. I can’t really describe the flavor — I guess they were plain… For dessert I had a tiramisu, again it was very decent. Overall, the food was good, but nothing distinctive. The service was great!

Not all that honestly. I have had better middle eastern/Russian cuisine. Prices were ok but food wasn’t the best.

After having a wonderful experience here in the past for mother’s day dinner, I suggested this restaurant to my best friend who wanted to plan a nice elegant birthday dinner. Originally she had booked this over two weeks in advance for a pre fixe menu/banquet for a party of 10 at 9:00 sharp. When we arrived on time we saw that the table was still not set up as another party was sitting in that table, this was very unprofessional and disappointing. When they finally cleared the table they did a terrible job at setting up the table, especially since we asked for all the food to be ready all at once as far as the appetizers and salads were concerned so the guests wouldn’t starve before the main courses arrived. There was not an even amount of appetizers for each side of the table, usually on average you are supposed to put two of each so both sides can have an even amount of food. As delicious as the food was in the banquet, the service was awful. The waiters did not serve the food for us, they made us dig in ourselves which is unusual for banquet style dining, nor did they refill our shot glasses if they saw it was empty, it is simply common sense to do so. I dropped off a birthday cake here that i wanted them to bring at the end after dinner, and for some odd reason out of all the birthdays that they sang with cake, they chose to play some weird kavkhazi song that i politely declined twice when they offered it especially since some of the guests were american, I guess my table was not entitled to the standard english traditional happy bday song, really weird. The worst part of all was when the bill arrived they had added gratuity and tip to the bill automatically, so when we left the top line blank on the credit card signature receipt, they literally chased us down to ask why this happened. We did not understand why we had to give an additional tip when it was clearly included in the bill, they totally denied it was included so we threw in an additional 20% for service that was almost non existent, by the way I find it rude and tacky to hound a customer for a tip in general that is not something you should demand regardless. Listen I understand that no business is perfect and saturday nights are crazy busy, but with the amount of staff available for this restaurant everything should of been served on time with love.

Eh whatever. Ordered 2 chicken kebab and a shrimp kebab. The shrimp kebab doesn’t specify that it comes with only 6. Overpriced and not worth it in my opinion. Close to 8 bucks for 6 shrimp? That were charred? AND overly salty? No thanks. I’ll take my money somewhere else next time. Also… The sauces were gross. I gave it one star cause the containers the food came in are good quality plastic and reusable.

This restaurant really needs a owner/management. Made reservations the night before for a part of 9 people. The restaurant called at 11AM the morning of to confirm the reservation… while I understand that many restaurants do this, they called once and DIDNOT leave a voicemail. We didn’t even know who was calling so we never called back. We came in for our reservation at 6:05, and were told they gave away our table to someone else because they thought we were not coming in. WHAT? Who does that? In most cases, even if someone doesn’t call you back if you leave them a voicemail, you hold the table for at least 10 – 15 minutes and try to get in touch with the person. This was the second bad experience in this restaurant. Maybe if they replaced the nasty owner and the ridiculous policy, this place could be saved. For now, if you want good food, try the place across the street… never had an issue there and the food was way better(and cheaper!). Update from 11÷15− the management decided to reply to all the reviews my family posted of this place and blatantly lie. We were absolutely not 30 minutes late, we were maybe 10 minutes late at most and no one called us in the evening within those 10 minutes to see if we were still coming. No one left a voicemail during the day so for all we knew it could be a telemarketer calling. The management or whoever replied to this comment and my husbands comment(which was extremely nasty, btw) is rude(surprise surprise) and obnoxious. The first time we came to this restaurant, we witnessed the owner yelling at a waiter in front of all the restaurant patrons. It made us so uncomfortable that we vowed never to return there again because I can’t support s restaurant whose owners are have absolutely no shame. And now this… I just have no words.

Wow. Just wow. As we walked in I remembered the first time I came here when they first opened. Now I know Russian and central Asian food very well. I remember the food was mediocre. Some of the meat was made well but didn’t have the flavor like the restaurant across the street. Food wasn’t bad but didn’t taste good. Décor is nice. They did a good job, probably why the food is over priced. Service is where they should get –100 stars. First time the owner was yelling at the waiters and demeaning them in Russian. They didn’t know I spoke Russian because I was with Clearly non-Russians. And they did it right next to our table. It was so awkward. Also when they brought the food they just plopped it on the table. We were actually being nice totally didn’t deserve the back lash. So fast forward a year later to today. My grandmother was turning 90 she wanted to go out and get kebabs. We wanted a quite atmosphere but a nice place. I was petrified to come here but my family talked me into it and told me they changed. So I acquiesced. We made reservations the night before at 9 for a 600 table for 9 people. Intimate affair. We got there at 6:05 on the dot. The host said since we are late we gave away your table. I told the guy that my grandmother who is 90 was walking from the car and he said we need to wait 40 min for a table. We left but waited about 10 minutes arguing. We ended up leaving. The people there looked like they were enjoying it but from what I saw staff and manager are the same, rude to guests and rude to each other. At least the place across the street has awesome food. We left they apologized at the end but we couldn’t stay there. This place sucks I never read good reviews about it.

Absolutely horrible! Zero stars for this place! Poor service and it took 2 hours for us to never get the food we ordered at which point we left! If you dont mind waiting for your food for hours then you might like this place, but if you are hungry stay away!

Very sweet female hostess and well decorated interior but the vibe is off. I am unfamiliar with central Asian culture and tried here and a few other Uzbek places solely to impress my Uzbek friend that was visiting from up North. Otherwise this would of remained an unknown zone to me. We ordered takeout and a portion of the order was missing. It was replaced next day but way too much back & forth. Taste and service wise Nagris is definitely a better option — Swift service, good food and attentive waiters.

Not my choice for a name for a restaurant, but ifcourse what counts most is the food. Some have stated that the food is not Turkish, but is more Uzbek, Caucasian, or Russian, but I don’t see a complaint here as Nargis is right across the street and Sahara aint too far away. I did find a few menu items here I did not see at my usual eateries such as Istanbul, like a larger selection of soups. We had soup called Shurpa which is like Harcho but not spicy. It was good, and a pleasant break from chicken soups, 4 stars. I really liked the beef kebab, which itself gets 5 stars; However, the salmon kebab was dry and tasteless(which is like 90% at other places), 2 stars. The potato kebab was just ok, 3 stars, and the grilled veggies were good, 4 stars. The décor was interesting, the service and wait time was also good, so overall the place gets 4 stars from me.

We went here looking at the Unilocal reviews and we were very curious about the place! Their salads are fresh, chicken and veal shish kebabs were juicy!!! The mini samsa were full of meat covered with thin dough! The only reason for 4 stars out waiter didn’t stop by even once to check on us. But he was busy with 3 other banquet tables. Our curiosity was satisfied! And they can compete with any other places especially the one across the street

What an amazing dining experience! From the moment I walked in, I really enjoyed the décor of the restaurant, so beautifully done. This being a saturday night in bk we knew it might be a bit of a wait for a table since the place was full. We called ahead, and owner said table for 4 is only a five minute. We didnt even wait that long. We got a nice booth in the back. We started off with Shepard’s, russian feta& tomatoe, and greens with tongue salad. Pumpkin manti, honim, lamb dish, beef and potato kebob. For drinks, we had compote which is a popular russian fruit punch. Salads were all excellent! The greens were very tasty and fresh. I dont do tongue so I just picked it off. Honim was with potatoe and onion. Thats was very good as well. Potato kebab was my first and it did not dissapoint. My only thing was lacked lil salt, not a deal beaker for me I just added some and enjoyed. Lamb even though I dont usually touch it was cooked to perfection, and very tender. How do I know? I tried a piece without realizing it wasnt beef lol. I saved the best for last, we ordered fried pumpkin manti. Instead we got lamb, when we mentioned it to waiter he said its mixed in with the meat. We were sure there still wasnt a touch of pumpkin in it. Rather than argue over four pieces of dried dough we laugh it off. Ten minutes later another waiter comes by and says he apologizes for the mistake and brought us the pumpkin manti. That was a nice touch. We really didnt let that small mistake ruin our meal we all just laughed it off. Was that fact that they realised it and fixed it asap was what impressed me . We couldn’t resist dessert. We got a rasberry tart and crème broule. Both tasted like heaven! Overall, beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere. Nice music that isnt too loud and helps people enjoy their meal better. Staff tries their best to be quick and efficient. Food was flavorful and presented well. Hubby and I will be back agian.
