The customer service is TERRIBLE here!!! Ordered a dinning room table from them in March and needless to say 2 months later and my dinning room set is still not complete ! I first received the table and later (2 weeks later) the chairs which they arrived all stained so I had to send them back. Called customer service and they were extremely rude and uncooperative ! They didn’t care to help me. I had to get in a fight with the manager so he could give me a discount on this ! The actual table top was not leveled right, the ends of the table were very curved so they sent a service guy out just so he can tell me the same thing and that they are going to order a new table top. 2 weeks later the table top arrives all dented scratched and in terrible condition ! Sent it back and when I called the store TRACI answered and was completely rude telling me that if they order me a new table they will take the discount away. She was yelling at me on the phone telling me «well do you want a new table or not «? I had to request to speak with someone else because her attitude was unbelievable !! Needless to say 2 weeks later and I still don’t have a new table top ! Called headquarters and told me that they can’t give me another discount but they can order a new table for me ! I guess I will just keep ordering new tables until they get it right !! THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !! AT LEAST THEY COULD HAVE DONE WAS TO BE NICE AND TRY TO MAKE THEIR CUSTOMERS HAPPY! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM EVER AGAIN!!! WORST PLACE EVER !

Completely dissatisfying experience, take your business elsewhere.
— First couch delivered was the wrong color. We ordered gray and received brown.
— Second couch delivered was the correct color but had the wrong side chaise.
— Delivery times were also inaccurate. They confirmed a delivery by 10:30am. When it never showed, I called the store at which point then said it would deliver by 3pm. Extremely inconvenient if you have a job that’s not thrilled if you take a whole day off for a couch delivery.
–To top if off, we still haven’t heard from the store manager to resolve this issue. The key to customer service is responsiveness which we have yet to see.
The only positive I can say is that the delivery men were extremely friendly and efficient.

I will admit that the advertising that Value City uses has kept me away from shopping here. I figured it would be a cluttered store with high pressure salesmen selling junk. So we were looking for some family room furniture, driving through the area and stopped. My opinion changed quickly. While a lot of the items were things that I was not interested in, we were able to find a good quality item at a good price. We did not have to wait a month for it to be delivered — just a few days. Yes we had to pay for shipping, but I don’t have a problem with that. Too often free shipping means higher prices, so I don’t mind paying exactly for what I get. We actually got two items shipped for the same price. The sales person was friendly, low pressure, and knowledgable. The items were delivered on time and professionally. After they were delivered I realized I made a mistake and ordered the wrong size couch. I called, they exchanged the item, picking up the old and delivering the new for no additional cost. Talk about exceeding my expectations. I don’t shop for furniture often, but would certainly come back and shop here again.

There are a few decent finds here. The price is right on a lot of things, although the quality is not always the best. The American Signature line of furniture is where you can find good quality at a good price. I agree with Cara as far as second hand shopping for tables, wood, metal things et cetera. I do not like buying second hand things that are porous. Too many weird things can happen on couches and then get stuck on them. I got a decent loveseat here for $ 500.00 because it was a closeout. I don’t think I will be back for a while. Although, they do have some really nice stools I may get.

Yikes… it looks like I’m going to be the nay-​sayer here.
Perhaps Value City Furniture just isn’t my thing. Maybe I’ve become to used to searching thrift and antique shops for the perfect item. But honestly, I think it’s mostly just the way things are made these days. That’s why I love antiques. They have history, they’re beautiful, and well-​made with solid wood.
I kind of felt like everything here that was decently priced was cheaply made with ply wood. And, well, that’s just not my thing. I also think I was expecting better prices, but alas, I find better furniture for a better deal on my own.
I also can’t handle the pushy sales people at these kinds of places. I get it, you’re trying to make your commish check, but I’m not about to go home with this garbage piece of furniture. Please quit flocking around me like a vulture. I’m not a rotting caracas.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the furniture is just find here and there are pieces made from nice wood. I just didn’t see those things. And I’m no snob, trust me.
I think I’d rather just be my own *picker* and discover some really unique items that I can change or reinvent my own way – for cheaper, too!

I’ll be honest. I thought all furniture stores were the same. I had gone into several where they start hassling you from the beginning even if you had only give half glance to a piece of furniture only because it was in your line of vision.
Not these salespeople! They welcome you in, they direct you to where things are. They’re more than willing to look up any info about any piece of furniture (price, country of origin). And if they make a mistake, they let you know! We had asked about the price of a particular table set and they let us know one price. My boyfriend and I discussed how much we liked everything. Coming back later on, the salesman let my boyfriend know he had made a mistake in the pricing. The actual price was $ 70 more but he told my boyfriend, «I quoted you that price, you’re getting it at the price I quoted you earlier.»
All in all, I know the next time I buy any piece of furniture, that’s where I’m going.

I used to go there with my Mom if we ever needed any lamps or bar chairs for our home. You can get good deals whenever there are sales going on during the holidays.
