Look, Vaqueros makes great food. There’s no disputing that. But we’re done, Vaqueros. You aren’t worth the hurt anymore. Tonight, my order was 2 hours late. I kept calling and you either sent me to fax(?!) or told me something about a driver and the police? I don’t know. It was weird. Anyway, after you continually sent me to fax, I contacted seamless and they gave me a discount for my next order(thanks seamless!) and then my food fiiiiinnnnally arrived. But lo and behold– it was lacking the add ons I’d asked for. SHOCKING. This kind of always happens and I should have known. So like, I still ate the entirety of my tacos and nachos. Your food is great. I just think it’d be cool if you put the add on’s people order and deliver it in a timely manner and don’t screen calls to a fax number. Nobody’s faxing you. Just stop, okay?

There are better Mexican spots around«la mesita» but if it’s super late this is the spot. The dude making the food is super nice too. Don’t know about delivery, but I’d recommend the spot for sure. Don’t be intimidated when ordering, even though it’s outside of a kinda wild bar.

It seems from the vastly different reviews of Vaqueros that they may be a hit or miss place, but when I ordered from them a few nights ago(around 2am after I got home from work), the food got to me almost exactly when they said it would. The burrito was MASSIVE. I’m assuming the pork inside was a bit dry as it was really late, so I give a pass on that. I also got some chalupas that were cheesy and spicy as hell, which is fine by me. I’d say give it a shot and see for yourself.

This place is a dump. Let me start by saying that I have never posted a Unilocal, but people should really know about this place. The place is not really a Resturant, it’s a cheap Mexican nite club, I’m talking dirty scummy kinda club. They play loud music that rattles the surrounding businesses and apartment buildings until all hours of the night. On the side they boxed out a small area and some questionable people bang out food and sell it from a small sidewalk facing window. The people that work here are un-friendly and do not speak a word of English. The first time I ordered from here I got sick, like vomit and chills sick. Not cool. So I held back for a while but found myself desperately hungry one late night so I ate here again, again I was sick, classic food poisoning. I could not believe it. When I mentioned something to them they ignored me and spoke about me in Spanish. Whatever you do, please avoid this place, this area has plenty of legitimate Mexican, this is def not to be trusted.

This place is a good late night spot for a quick grub. They came pretty fast, within half an hour. Food was ok but the price was a bit too much for the area as well as the amount of food that was ordered.

I found my new late night to order place. I was hopeful I would like the food. Yes it was great indeed. I ordered the chicken quesadilla which was handmade. The prices were reasonable and food was tasty. Also delivery through grubhub came just in time! Will defenitely be ordering from them again.

My roommate and I ordered from grubhub and it was delivered 20 minutes late and cold. They forgot my drink and came back 15 minutes later. The order of chicken wings cost $ 8 and it was 6TINY wings. The empanadas where gross and gave me stomach problems.

This is my first Unilocal review — but the food was so exceptionally bad I felt I had to. I ordered through Grubhub from this place because it had 4 stars… it should have been a negative 4. I ordered chicken enchilada and a guacamole and chips. The enchilada came in the regular round foil container but it had so much liquid(I never really was able to figure out what) that the whole dish was soup to the brim, not even stew consistency — but soup. You couldn’t tell any one thing from another in it, except floating scraps of tortilla. I was really hungry so I decided to eat it anyway… big mistake — the chicken was god knows how old because it was rubber — and the whole dish was waaaay too salted. When I am ordering from a new place I try to get a little side of something that’s simple to make so I can at least eat little something. So I ordered the guac and chips. The guacamole was so salty it was inedible. Not just like ‘hmmm this is pretty salty’ — salty — but INEDIBLE salty. How do you screw up guacamole for christs sake??? avocado, tomato, onion, little lime and cilantro — boom done. Ok, there’s my rant. My stomach feels kind of funky now… I tried to make ‘no stars’ but Unilocal wouldn’t post without at least one.
